Just finished this show. I only finished it because I wanted to know what happened at the end. I know it’s a classic xianxia drama, but I felt it was 10-15 episodes too long. So many times it felt the drama was ending but the producers created random more stories to elongate things.

Best part of the drama for me, is they actually wrapped it up well (this is a big thing considering C-drama Xianxia land and their open endings). Also, maybe because they were pulling stories out to elongate it when it should have ended earlier is why they were able to end it well. 🤭

All in all, a reasonable watch.

It because they styled her to appear more serious here. She’s in most dramas 🤭. Like this one : Hilarious Family (2023) -which is hilarious (no pun intended) and a fun watch.

The mother-inlaw was also scolding her son on why they didn’t wait for a while and doing the proper check before moving in.

I think she purposely took this role to show her acting range. She’s always in comedic roles and being the easy going and kind of dumb character sometimes. Here, she outdid herself. Kudos to her.

There was a reason. Moving into a newly built apartment immediately. Apparently it’s a thing, particularly in China, that you can get deathly sick from moving into a just completely building. You have to buy some form of chemical and put it in and let it stay empty for some time. I saw this in a Chinese Couple video online. All the Chinese comments were giving this advice. So, it’s not exactly a karma thing. If you notice, they mentioned that each person who bought a house/apartment were buying used ones. I think it was to prepare for this scene.

So, new buildings in China can be toxic for your health.

What a show!Beautiful story telling and great cast. I know people didn’t like that the cast were changed too early, but this didn’t change the story for me. Such a matured and well thought out show. A 10 for me.

Yes, on one hand it’s convenient writing, on the other hand, life and death situation, in real life, usually heals and brings families together. So, it is not out of place that the family ended on this note.

If the show has finished airing, where are the rest of it? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Who knows where to watch the rest of the episodes?

If you claim you loved someone and want to be with that person (especially if you claimed you made a mistake the first time by not choosing her), you make extra effort to fight for it or simply even confirm the news .

I don’t know about you, but I know jealousy makes people over react especially if you’ve been betrayed by an ex spouse before and the current spouse isn’t being honest and transparent.

Yes, he should have. But the couple acted sneakily. The divorce was also about Zhang. I know I will be very upset if my partner wasn’t entirely honest with me. Fang was very honest with her about his own previous relationship.

He’s been flirting with her since he came back. Don’t tell me you don’t recognise flirting (he was even more determined with it when he noticed her husband was a taxi driver). This is the guy who didn’t give a F even when he knew 4th sister had a big crush on him. Pretended he didn’t know why she was mad at him. I mean everyone one knows when someone is crushing on them talk more of people that close. The tone of the letters she wrote him was very obvious too. To him, she is an after thought option(obvious in the later episodes with his action once his preferred wife returned.

It’s 5th sister she was going to give away because her husband wouldn’t acknowledge her at first (born by C-section and his wife almost died). Also, gave her own surname (Liu).

Sadly, the mother doesn’t even notice it and instead thinks she’s about to steal the house from her.
