She basically lied to the man. Said they were just neighbours and she didn’t recognise him ashen he was picked up from the airport (all lies). Also, didn’t put any boundaries and still holds some love for him. If she didn’t have any guilt she would have been more open to her husband. That alone is a reg flag. Yes, the husband is marking his territory in an aggressive way, but most people (male or female) will react so when they see a person they just carried out and about in a restaurant with their partner. If she had acknowledged the neighbour when they first picked him up and introduced the husband, I am sure he won’t even think anything of seeing them together. Let’s not even forget the weird question the neighbour was asking about his wife and declaring he was divorced. You can tell both their intentions are bad.
Anyway, let’s see how it goes. U do hope the man doesn’t suffer another cheating heartbreak.

Of course! That’s the only reason she turned the guilt to her husband. Guilty people do this all the time. They gaslight the other person and make them look stupid (when indeed they are the guilty ones).
Funny thing is that her neighbour isn’t even right for her. He treated her badly (pretending he didn’t know she was into him and dumped her). He even went on to marry. Now, he’s coming back to her as an after thought after he has been dumped.

It’s why it’s best to marry who you share values with and love, instead out of ticking off a list.

It funny how the 4th sister made her husband look like he is imagining his suspicions. Meanwhile, she’s the one who is in love with her “EX”. Of course, since his first wife cheated on him, it’s normal for him to be paranoid.

I was expecting this drama to suck me in from the first episode considering the genre. But, it's been so good thus far.

Yes, me too. This has spoiled people and people have forgotten reality. This is why they are complaining a lot about this drama and the way the cast look. 🤭. It’s realistically with the times.

I agree with you. Also, life then was especially hard in China and people often looked older because they are forced to grow up quickly and take responsibilities (make money, care for younger siblings, school, and general hard life tasks)

Yes, me too! I think the change to older actors too early is making people discard even the quality of the storytelling and acting. It’s a very good show. Regardless of the early change, I love it. People are so used to seeing young and idol actors that they forget about good storytelling. It’s not always about look of actors.

The sixth sister's love interest has been shown already (her master's son), and he's a hottie to me 🤭. The Tang brother for 5th sister isn't bad looking either (better than 2nd and 3rd sisters' husbands LOL.

I completely agree. They should have kept her to play the 20s version too. It would have been more believable, age-wise, than the older actress playing it. I guess they wanted all the seasoned actors and actresses to have more scenes since the drama is only 38 episodes.

Oh please! I played with turtles like that as a child and nothing happens to it. It is curiosity. I do hope you treat all human beings with kindness first before jumping up in arms about playing with animals. 🙄

I finally had the time to binge watch the rest of this drama. I’m glad it didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait for the next part and hope it even does better than the first part. 🤞🤞🤞.

I’m commenting on their general acting skills. Whether first time or not, a good actor would shine in any role. I’ve got nothing against the actors I mentioned and I watch their dramas.
But, here, the older actors’ acting allowed people to see their shortcomings in acting.

Because the show is about community policing (an actual branch of policing in China). This is really how it is, the people can quarrel with police officers, after all the people pay their salary 🤭.
