I balled my eyes out in the last episode 😭😭😭😭😭. What a show! Of course the older actors carried the show, so minimising the weakness of some of the younger actors (Xu KaiCheng & Bai Lu). Over all a great production. First time watching a modern day Chinese policing drama. What a fine work. I was invested.
Ok, Bailu’s character here is so annoying. Or maybe it’s the fault of the director. I have never seen a police officer disobey their superior, talk more of the police chief. But Bailu never takes orders and argues to the ground. Even the reason she is doing it makes no sense. She’s a police officer not a social worker.
I know policing in China is different and they do more of community service/policing, but still, I feel some are out of place.
That makes sense considering she is portrayed as going through really hard times. Kudos to the makeup department for making the cast look like they are going through what they are.
I must say, Yang Zi is perfect in this type of shows where she is not made to act childish. Her acting talent is shining in this drama and she’s using her voice too. I feel all the pains she has felt so far due to how she portrayed them. Bravo! Looks like she lost some weight ? Her face is a bit different or is it surgery or maybe she just got older? Not sure which. But she looks good and I love her acting here.
Please spoil for me does she manage to save her mother from dying ?
Unfortunately, no. Because she didn’t understand the reason and how she died. It’s only after it happened she realised her mum killed herself and not the new concubine/best friend who killed her.
Genuinely curious, wouldn’t Jiang Meisun’s son be a lot older?
He was a baby when the main couple met. Let’s say the whole event happened within a year, plus five years later, that would make him about six years. Since he sounds more eloquent than the main couples’ daughter, then it can be assumed he is 6 years old.
Great show….just 3 pointers they should have brought his gray hair first episode look in the end on the stand…
A darker Song Mo, will be a dead one. The difference is to show the effect Dou Zhao has on him in their second life. He is controlling his anger so as not to die. Moreover, the rest of the army weren’t so close. They later came with the Crown Prince after the secret letter delivered by Ansu.
What a show 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾! A historical C-drama that the ending wasn’t rushed and well thought out. I’m very satisfied and going into the Christmas holidays extra happy.
Thank you to the director, scriptwriter, producer, and other crew members for making such a gem.
Shout out to the casts too, they embodied their roles perfectly.
This is how idol dramas should be. Not those that make one lose their brain cells or with unnecessary twists and turns, angst, and childishness.
Song Han going from a poor, little, innocent boy to a 100% arrogant and over confident guy? Like, how? How do…
No, he was always bad. He knew his father was poisoning his mum(before he met his real mum), yet went along and didn’t even tell his beloved older brother( since he mentioned he was too scared), yet he got a cat to protect himself. His reason, he wants a happy family. Is there such a thing as happiness with such grave injustice? He was pretending to be good all along and enjoyed all the dotting.
what I thought he was a childhood friend why is he attacking song mo aka her loved one? I know he doesn’t have…
I do not think so. He knows fate can't be changed (the rebellion will still happen in this new life), so he is trying to control it to yield the desired result. Look how he slyly asks Lord Qing about the Person behind the Duke's death. This mystery person killed them in the last life and was the real person behind Lord Qin. Finding this person will save ML as his revenge will happen without too much effort and not lead him to death.
he hate the whole jiang and everything related to the jiang family is because his uncle took down his lower family…
Meanwhile, the corruption is his fault. Yet, he can't seem to take responsibility for his wrongdoings. If he were upright and a fair official, then his lover's family wouldn't be dragged into it and then taken down, which then caused his lover to be sold as a prostitute. Also, he is evil to have married for status and wealth while hating the family, too. He still claims he is the one who was wronged. SMH!
If only Song Mo had listened to Dou Zhao when she send someone to stop him from going to his home. He wouldn't…
It all boils down to what that man by the river told her "you can attempt to change fate, and sometimes it can only cause a small ripple and things will still be same". She couldn't stop the poison because that's his fate, but he was able to keep his title as Duke (which also is his fate).
Because of how they died in their past life, DZ has so much trauma and fear about arrows in this life. She used…
Yes, JY does. Only he and FL do. They talked about it in a previous episode. JY also said he doesn't remember everything so clearly. The events feel like a long dream to them. FL only has a better grasp because of that book JY gave her in their past life just before falling through the portal.
