Ahhhh! This dram reels you in, every episode feels so short. I hope it keeps it up in part 2 (please let C-drama curse not mess with it). Anyone know when part 2 would start?
I donāt think itās love at first sight. Itās more of admiration and mesmerised by the FL. A lady at that…
Of course when you admire or enamoured with someone, you want them close. It does not mean itās live yet. But, yes he does like her now and wants to get to know her and be with her.
Ok, I had to wait until after 10 episodes to make a comment. I love the humour in this drama. Not in your face kind of humour, but subtle. My preferred type of humour in movies. Most of the actors here know how to execute their line of humour naturally. I hope they donāt ruin the drama mid-way since itās has part 2.
saw a lot of questions on how's the romance in this series- the short answer is a Slow-burn. we're at episode…
I donāt think itās love at first sight. Itās more of admiration and mesmerised by the FL. A lady at that time being knowledgeable to give clues (military even) without saying or doing it obviously. He is shocked by how smart and different she is from other ladies. Every other girl wants a suitor and handsome/rich man, FL is all about building, smart learning etc. Of course this could be confused as love, but not yet. You canāt love who youāve never seen. š
Finally finished this. Loved it! So different from recent C-dramas that make the female characters look stupid and irrational. It is not perfect, but better than most (a big step for C-drama land). First time also Iām seeing something with the male lead. I love a masculine man (š¤£š¤£) and this is far and in between in C-dramas as well. I am tired of seeing feminine looking men as male leads.
I donāt even know where to start. 8 episodes to go. Thatās not a lot considering all of the misunderstandings…
I hate this most about C-dramas. They pile up issues towards the end of their drama and never clearing them up at the end. You wonder what was the essence. I felt the past 4-5 episodes had a lot of fill ups and unnecessary scenes that could have gone into clearing up some of the conflicts and secrets.
Unlike most of you I loved Yin Zhang egocentric behaviour she added a different traits to classic portrayal of…
I think itās because sheās letting it affect their income. She could be famous now and praised, but still broke š¤£š¤£. What is the use of fame if youāre homeless and hungry. Her pipa was always a side attraction that brought in the customers which of course doubled once she became famous. She could have exercised more tact in wielding her fame not suddenly acting better than her sister friends and looking down on their source of income.
Me too.. I really want them to end up together but on the other hand we cant deny the fact that QY doesn't have…
Wow! Thatās sad. She indeed fell hard for her husband or at least the idealised version of him (childhood sweetheart). In a way, sheās like Zhang Xiang too, loving someone for so long that it takes up everything.
Argh š ! C-dramaland is plagued with deficiency of how to properly end their dramas.
Their ending is often chaotic and not given proper closure. Directors need to be properly trained.
Iāve seen only very few C-dramas with proper endings.
Anyways this was entertaining until the last 4 episodes. No need introducing events you canāt do proper justice to in the last couple of episodes. It will always make a good drama go bad. š¤¦š¾āāļø
ok so i just started this, can someone clarify, the sub was confusing but she's the daughter of the 2nd wife right?…
Her bio mum, she calls her āYi Niangā is a concubine and doesnāt like her because sheās a female child. Even abandoned her initially when she was a new born and after taking her back was mistreating her and one time left her and took her brother and ran away. This, she was adopted by the legal wife she calls āMu Qingā. The legal wife who adopted her loved and accepted her and she sees her as a real mother. In ancient China, there could be only one wife. Others are concubines who do not have legal status and limited rights in the family too.
