Oh my! Another 10/10 drama from China this year. So realistic. I’m particularly glad they didn’t show them making up with their dad and being all lovey-dovey before he died. In reality, people don’t make up with unapologetic toxic parents just because they are their parents. I’m also happy they didn’t show everything is a fairytale. In fact with SiMei’s story arch, they particularly taught that lesson. Life isn’t a fairytale with butterflies. So, pleased 😄. Cried a lot the last couple of episodes. Kudos to the production team 👏🏾👏🏾 . Wonderful work they did.
The cast, were amazing! This drama won’t have the believability without such wonderful actors executing brilliantly ❤️
Someone help me out. I’m almost done with the series, but I’m confused. While growing up, I thought Weiming was an only child? There was no mention of siblings and they were not shown. Which was why he really wanted to have QIQI in their home when the mother returned him. That he was happy he now had a sibling. Now as adults, they show a brother and sister? Can someone explain please?
Just picked this up, and I must say, it’s coming along fantastic so far. I can’t wait to watch more. I see most of the stars that I like to watch are in this too.
Fantastic! 8.5 for me. First time following through this kind of modern drama. Initially couldn’t go through the 1 episode. Kept dropping it. But, picked it up again, sat through the first one and binged the rest 😆

Yes, it is. But, this is what makes this drama so good. It’s realistic. In real life, we run from confronting situations which are most difficult for us and hide ourselves from facing it. I understand the friends doing this. Of course, the result of actually doing it, can be catastrophic 😞

A brief summary, at Ep.10, many scenes were juxtaposed, the attempted suicide by MiaoMiao (who was overwhelmed by the false accusation of sexual harassment she gave and her boyfriend leaving her) and XiChen talking her out of it, then NanJie telling her younger boyfriend as they were about to have sex that she wants a child by him, but not necessarily wanting him, and finally, the big fall out between XuYan and her boyfriend, as she lost all their money to scammers in her bid to make quick money to buy a house (I found hers to be so silly. I wanted to slap her from my screen considering her stupidity LOL 😆). But the ultimate, was the last scene, when the 3 friends broke up. XuYan lashed out and accused the others of not really being there for JingJing and that was why she committed suicide The last scene was well directed. Because it revealed that the friends never really grieved their friend, JingJing. They were hiding their pain and never confronted it. So, the outburst in the last scene of Ep.10, was like a ticking time bomb that was always waiting to explode. You could feel the emotions, hurt and pain. Oh my! A reminder that we should always grieve 😞

Actually NanJie is a big film star. Just not starring in dramas. She’s considered a “a real actor”. Some actors are just famous but not talented. This drama definitely called for talent.

I agree! Especially the northern way of speaking. I appreciate learning all the new slangs as language is always evolving. I haven’t lived in China for a minute now, so, it’s a good way to inculcate newer words that exist now.
I change my mind, this drama is a 10! Wow! Ep.10 had me 🤯. Too many times I was crying, screaming and smiling at my screen. This drama is eliciting all forms of emotions all at once. The cast and crew are to be awarded. I can’t wait for the last 2 episodes. A favourite 😍
