Unlike most of you I loved Yin Zhang egocentric behaviour she added a different traits to classic portrayal of…
I think it’s because she’s letting it affect their income. She could be famous now and praised, but still broke 🤣🤣. What is the use of fame if you’re homeless and hungry. Her pipa was always a side attraction that brought in the customers which of course doubled once she became famous. She could have exercised more tact in wielding her fame not suddenly acting better than her sister friends and looking down on their source of income.
Me too.. I really want them to end up together but on the other hand we cant deny the fact that QY doesn't have…
Wow! That’s sad. She indeed fell hard for her husband or at least the idealised version of him (childhood sweetheart). In a way, she’s like Zhang Xiang too, loving someone for so long that it takes up everything.
Argh 😠! C-dramaland is plagued with deficiency of how to properly end their dramas.
Their ending is often chaotic and not given proper closure. Directors need to be properly trained.
I’ve seen only very few C-dramas with proper endings.
Anyways this was entertaining until the last 4 episodes. No need introducing events you can’t do proper justice to in the last couple of episodes. It will always make a good drama go bad. 🤦🏾♀️
ok so i just started this, can someone clarify, the sub was confusing but she's the daughter of the 2nd wife right?…
Her bio mum, she calls her “Yi Niang” is a concubine and doesn’t like her because she’s a female child. Even abandoned her initially when she was a new born and after taking her back was mistreating her and one time left her and took her brother and ran away. This, she was adopted by the legal wife she calls “Mu Qing”. The legal wife who adopted her loved and accepted her and she sees her as a real mother. In ancient China, there could be only one wife. Others are concubines who do not have legal status and limited rights in the family too.

Who can answer this for me please, Ep.9 I’m wondering why the girl at the brothel suddenly led them out to the imperial park when she actually didn’t access the place from there. Strange. Could be a plot hole?
I’m watching on dramcool. It has no subs so I’m watching in Chinese. I have intermediate level understanding so I get most of the conversations and just read the characters of the words I didn’t get to get a better understanding.
