I watched it raw. I do have an intermediate understanding of Chinese Language, that helps. Although the translation itself isn’t even great, but I can fill in the gap with my own understanding.

Exactly! Awarding winning is what best describes this masterpiece. I was with tissue all through was I watched Episodes 1-8. I know I will be holding onto more tissues as I go through the rest of the episodes.
So good! I’m at Ep. 8 and it’s a solid 9/10 for me already. I have cried so much from watching this drama. It’s that good. I rarely cry when I watch films/dramas (from whichever country). But, this drama, hits the soul. I love it. One of my favourites this year (Minning town was another), and I prefer this to Minning town.
@Hop2020 chemistry between the ML & FL are what makes drama from watchable to amazing. Some FL actress in Cdrama…
Of course I could guess it was about appearance for her. I mean who cares if you appear ugly in a scene in a movie? Everyone already knows how you look in reality. The word that describes people like this is lack of professionalism in their work. But, if directors and producers keep casting her and not encouraging her to improve, then, it’s really sad. Then again people like her will never win an acting award or attain great heights in the acting industry (I’m not talking about wealth nor idolising here)

Oh no, let’s hope it’s not completely ruined. There’s no greater pet peeve than watching terrible actors in a film. If only the world functioned on fairness, then producers will know that talent should always be over nepotism.

I can’t agree more! Spot on! I think most times connection takes over talent in movie industries. Just like the perfect and casual FL actress who starred opposite Jackie Chan in one of his recent movies (I forgot the name now), it’s obvious she’s connected and getting lead roles with terrible talent. Same applies to Ju Jing Yi, whose facial expressions never change no matter the emotion she’s trying to express. It’s like she always has to be in a posing angle. It’s weird. I like this FL, you can see she has the talent and needs better and challenging roles to sharpen them.

This show is an example that chemistry between leads or more like if the two leads can act, the film goes well. I couldn’t stand Perfect and Casual, because the female lead was terrible (constantly leaving her mouth a bit open and couldn’t pull a convincing acting). And even though the male lead was portraying his role well, it wasn’t enough. But, in the series, the two leads act well and portray the usual drama tropes properly. I’m enjoying the drama, even though it’s the usual Chinese Rich CEO and woman beneath him kind of story. It’s light hearted and a distraction for my daily life.
I’m not even done with Ep. 1, but, I came to say this drama has a very good production team. 3 seasons and still be able to retain entertainment value and watch-ability , that’s super. And for a Chinese drama, triple super ???????? ????
This was so good. A solid 9/10 for me. It broke so many stereotypes in Chinese dramas. Loved it. For a small budget production, they out did their bigger counterparts and paid more attention to details. Something that’s quite rare in Chinese dramas. The writers definitely need to write more and the director too needs to direct more.
I had my rating at 8.5 at the beginning because the drama entertained and made me laugh. Now, I am done, I will rate it a 7.7 hahaha. They butchered it. But, because of the humour within the show, I will bear it. Over all, entertaining, but, I had high hopes for it. Sigh!
