I like it so far, but it's only been 8 minutes so I'm not sure how much I can like it at this point. A 40 minute short film would have been better. But I've accepted that we won't be getting longer 40+ minute episodes in K BLs anytime soon. It sucks, but I'll keep watching them.
K BLs have existed for more than 15 years, but they aren't popular in SK. There's a bunch of reasons why and I wish things were different because SK has made some really great BLs over the years and my favorite yaoi webtoons are Korean. For now I'm hoping that they will start gaining more popularity and over time the budgets and run times will increase.
This seems fine, but I was bored during the pilot and the 2nd episode was only slightly more interesting. I'll come back after a few more episodes, hopefully it starts to focus more on the leads and less on Pu Le Jian's friends and family.
The trailer is adorable. But I wish they had skipped the screaming "fans". That's never fun to watch. But at least the actors seem to have good chemistry. And I just realized Jeff Satur is singing the OST, his voice makes me love the show even more.
Something about this series feels different to me. I don’t know if it’s the lighting, the music, the acting,…
I agree. This show hits different than other series. For me it's because of all the reasons you described and how real and imperfect everything is. These are people living their lives and making mistakes. I'm so invested because it doesn't feel shallow. There have been countless moments on the show that handled differently than a typical BL. And even though I've been frustrated in the last couple of episodes, I'm still as invested in all 3 couples as I was at the beginning of the show. But I still can't get over Fah forgetting to get a gift for his BEST FRIEND Aii and breaking his promise to Thorn, that was tough to watch.
This was hard to sit through. Cooks have become the new engineers and IMO that's not a good thing. This felt like a mashup of every recent overused BL trope. The acting was fine, the 3 future couples seemed fine, the food looked good, but I wasn't invested in any of it.
I would stick around and watch another bland BL just to pass the time, but the stalkerish fanclub, the random narrator constantly telling the audience how sexy the guys are and the squealing from nearly every female and "tootsie" character are things I REALLY hate in any show, so I'll skip this one.
This comment is about the previews and the show after episode 8, not episode 10. I really loved episode 10.
I'm confused, why do they keep skipping over important moments. There's a lot of impact that's lost when we skip Dome breaking up with Pan, Thorn's surgery and Thorn moving out of Fah's condo. Those moments are huge, they foreshadow every that happens after. If we never see them and only hear about them, it feels different than if we see them and see the fallout from them. I'm sad, because I want the future moments to feel huge and life changing for each couple, but it's the "wow I missed a lot". The director a d writer have done a truly great job, but it feels like they never took a classes on foreshadowing, showing the audience something big verse telling the audience something big and build up and because of that we're racing towards the finish line of the series, instead of organically moving towards a strong conclusion.
This is still my favorite show, FahThorn are still my OTP. I LOVED episode 10, but I truly wish the show was 14 episodes instead of 12. This isn't the kind of BL that gets a sequel and knowing that the audience missed soooooooo many huge moments makes me sad.
For me this has been the best K BL since To My Star. I did feel like the last episode mostly dragged until the ending, but I loved the show in spite of that. I would love to see a sequel, but I won't be surprised if there isn't one.
I've had this under "plan to watch" for YEARS, I should have watched it sooner. It's really really good. I don't care if it's bromance or BL it's worth the watch.
This was my favorite episode so far. It finally happened SeanWhite together 🥰. Their cuteness is almost as cute as OffGun's cuteness! I'm sad that Gram and Black isn't gonna be a thing, but I never expected Mond to be a part of a BL couple, so I'm not really surprised. I feel like I say this about someone close to the show every week, but I hope babii Chimon gets well soon!
For me this was better than a lot of the pinoy quarantine shows. The leads were great and great together. I didn't like Bo Chun's friend, but it was good overall. The last episode was the best part.
This trainwreck was barely tolerable but only because of 2x speed and fast forwarding. The comments are right, it's REALLY bad. CopyNampu were fine but they were also the only couple that had chemistry. Their storyline has been done a million times in other BLs, but I never got bored when they were on screen.
In the end the biggest disaster is the MC. They shouldn't be together, not just because of lie Simai believed, but because there is no honesty anywhere in this relationship. For that reason it's doomed to fail and I can't bother to care. Shows like this shouldn't be made, it's hard to see how anyone involved in this project had their career helped by being involved in this.
Thai BLs almost always have episodes at the beach. But this one felt so different. Before this episode I was sure…
This show has always set itself apart and avoided some tropes associated with BL. I would have been fine with it ending in 9 or 10 episodes and I really hope that for the sake of dragging things out for 12 episodes, they don't undermine the uniqueness that made this show feel special. Jealously is a part of a normal relationship. But destroying a 10+ year relationship for the sake of drama would be REALLY unpleasant for me to watch.
I wanted to be happy about all of the progress that FahThorn have made and be glad that their bed scene didn't have the same sloppy camerawork and editing of the SaenAai bed scene.
There was so many great moments for them this week, Fah being attached to Thorn the whole trip to point that Thorn just left to get away from him was so adorable. Fah asking Thorn to move in or leave his clothes at his condo was adorable. Thorn's confidence when admitting he didn't decide to go to the college just to play basketball and Fah FINALLY realizing that Thorn's liked him for a long time was super adorable. The other guy showing up at the end and the foreshadowing of DRAMA was a gut punch!

It feels like a lot happened between episode 8 and 9. I get why they decided to skip so much, but it was still a bit jarring playing catch up on all the events the audience missed. I'm glad the writers let Dome express himself and glad that they made it clear that he and Pan broke up. But I expect a lot more trouble for Dome, Vee and Pan.
I'm also really glad Fluke is on this show. She's not a caricature of transgender person like we often see in BL, but a person who is living their life in a difficult judgmental world. We need more characters like Fluke!
*sigh* the more things change, the more they stay the same. I wanted to like this and I did until episode 7. It was flawed, but felt like a classic Chinese BL. In the end that's exactly what it turned out to be, with many of the awful tropes we saw 6+ years ago. If there is a sequel, I'll skip it. The last 2 epsiodes REALLY ruined this for me. Maybe they should just stick to bromance
I'm going to say this, if you are going to dump all over the basketball plot, why are you here? Is it just to…
Yes, exactly! I co-sign your comments. They bonded bc of basketball, Thorn followed Fah to play basketball with him, if the show skipped over basketball, the heart and driver of their relationship would be lost. It's unfortunate that people are sleeping on this amazing couple, but it's their loss. But I do think the little kisses are adorable though :)
