I definitely feel bad for the TutorYim fans. I was never a huge fan of that ship and I've only seen episodes 4-6, but it's really obvious that this show missed the mark. It is astonishing and sad that some have decided that fan boards should exist only to praise their favs. As if acting is the one job where people are completely flawless and anyone who doesn't show blind allegiance to a series/character is nothing more than a "hater". Idk how we reached a point where art was no longer subjective or when sharing your thoughts on fictional characters opened you up to personal criticism, but that's where we are with some series.
I've been on this site for years and have enjoyed reading the comments from others on hundreds of shows. Even comments that I don't agree with, because it lets me see a different perspective on the series. In the last couple of years some pages have shifted into a "if you don't like it, don't watch it" mindset, which to me translates to "if you don't like every single aspect of the series, shut up" mindset. People who think that, don't seem to know anything about film criticism or the fact that if people stop watching, the series is a failure and that negatively impacts the actors they are trying to "protect". As BL viewership dwindles compared to the millions of views series got years ago, I'd think that people would want as many viewers to watch as possible. The companies/actors do better when lots of people watch, even if every single viewer doesn't love every single thing about the series. More views leads to future opportunities for the actors and more money and fame. Which is exactly what most actors want, money and fame.
I won't stop watching series with a critical lens and then coming here to share/read comments. But it is harder to feel invested in a series when there's such hostility on the fan boards that literally exist for fan discussion.

When Charlie revealed their relationship and everyone just went along with it and then didn't throw a fit when Babe suggested that Charlie be the driver, I was kinda over all of them. He is a random VERY shady guy who just showed up in a bathroom one day and now everyone acts like that he'sa vaulable part of the group.

We've all seen MDL pages for certain series where group think reigns and the only option is to fall in line, shut up or gaslight yourself into thinking you like the foolishness too. Luckily this page isn't as bad as some others and people for the most part are allowing differing perspectives.
I think by this point in a series most people who seriously dislike multiple aspects of a series have already dropped it. So only the die hards, the "I never drop anything" people and the people interested in how the story will unfold remain. Which decreases descent and differing opinions.

For me, Jeff and Charlie are my only real issues with the series. Not just because we know so little about both and they feel completely out of place in this racing team. But mostly because the other characters just allow them to be around as the company and Babe keep getting attacked. Why is no one realizing this all started when they showed up or asking them questions? I can't turn my brain off when I watch a show and every illogical thing about these 2 makes it impossible for me to be interested in either character. Backstory and character development would go a long way to improve both characters, but so far that's not happening.
I've completely accepted that this isn't going to get better. The questionable camerawork and editing won't improve, all the characters won't suddenly stop being idiots, the product placement will not be toned down, so I won't bother to complain about any of that. This week he ruined my all time favorite BL character "white wash cloth", (Babe is in a hospital, there is no need to wipe him down, his foot won't improve by wiping his chest and there are people on staff at a HOSPITAL who can bathe him if he can't do it himself!!!) which is unforgivable (I am joking about the washcloth scene). But my problem with him lies in the way he's written. I have no idea why he does what he does, why no one calls him out besides Babe, why he constantly smiles ear to ear in every single scene. I don't get him and at this point, I don't want to. If he disappeared, the series would immediately improve for me.
But he's not going anywhere since he's the main character. Idk if he was a walking filler in the books or if a more skilled actor could have portrayed this character better. But I do speculate that there are at least 50 actors in Thailand who could have done better in this role. But that's not gonna happen. I'll keep scratching my head every time Babe smiles when he hears Charlie lying to his face or saying/doing something completely stupid. This is literally my favorite show airing in the second half of the year. Omg, Toki is a tiny confused squirrel trapped in the body of a goofy golden retriever and I love him. So much happened in 24 minutes. I feel like I watched an hour long episode, but I still want more.
All of the side characters are so awesome. I wish I was also in the audience during the play. That was soooooooo funny! And the acting and makeup during that play was better than what we get in most BLs these days 🤣. I can't wait for next week.
I hated it!! IMO the worst thing a BL with an established ship can do is ruin that ship. Most BL fans are really forgiving. Even if the writing isn't great, the acting is not good or the characters are dumb, lots of fans will still love the show. But when people are ready to split up the ship because the show is soooooo bad, there's a problem.
Everything that happened in the finale was predictable and stupid. But all I could really focus on was how much I didn't want Tew and Guy to end up together. Ping may have tried his best, but he was not good. He was better in Ai Long Nhai (I loved that show), where his character wasn't completely insufferable. Here I just wanted him to stop whining, grow a backbone or disappear. I know Cutie Pie being a huge series made damsels the trend, but they've gone too far this time. There is no excuse for an adult man or woman to behave like Guy did, especially when he put himself in this situation.
And that's the real issue. This show tried to be about a gamer and his friends and also about a gangster who left the gangster life because he fell in love. But it failed at both aspects of the story. The gaming was interesting at first, but if there was no gaming, the story would have stayed basically the same. But that was the only semi-interesting thing about Guy, without it he was just a brat. The gangster stuff was a farce. And the only people who could have enjoyed it are either children or have never seen an actual gangster movie.
Tew was forced to change every aspect of his life for the relationship. But it was never really clear why after such a short amount of time, the leads were so in love with each other. Guy became less likable as the series progressed. Wahl was there to be an antagonistic until he wasn't. Kenji was easily the most absurd villain I've ever seen, who made every scene he was in nearly unwatchable.
Overall, this was very bad. So bad, I'd prefer to never see another series written or directed by this team. I am hopeful that Meen and Ping's next series is better than this because I am nearly out of patience with this ship and it's becoming clear that Ping is holding Meen back. Which is really unfortunate.
When a series can't even bother to have a final episode that's more than 15 minutes, I won't waste energy/time critiquing the plot. This isn't a show. It's a clear cash grab or tax write off for some nameless rich person who heard BL was popular and got a cast and crew together who knew literally nothing about screenwriting, directing, acting, pacing, storytelling or anything that goes into making an actual series.
I'd be pissed that once again BL fans are treated like fools who'll watch any Thai series with two men who smile at each other. But there's no point because this is just one of many forgettable cash grabs that have been released in the last few years.
If you're very bored, turning this on is a great sleep aid.

A reminder of why BL sequels are always worse than the original series. I appreciate the cast and crew for their efforts, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
I definitely wouldn't say this was good. But there is a decent story, it's just hidden behind a messy and poorly written mini series. I liked it though. It reminded me of how much I've missed Chinese BLs and how many great stories we'll never get to see because of the ban 😮💨
Before I go into the reasons that I REALLY disliked the episode, I have to say how much I'm loving seeing Ohm play a very nuanced character. Ohm is doing a great job and it's a reminder that bad scripts and directors can mask an actor's skill and abilities. I hope he keeps getting shows with complex characters.
Moving on, I want to punch the editor and who ever at Toyota forced the makers to turn this episode into a long Toyota commercial!!! Anyone who watches Thai BL is used to endless product placement, but that Toyota crap was over the line 🤬🤬.
Anyway, after 3 episodes of everyone hinting at Shin being trash, we finally got to see Mr. Red Flag in action and I kinda hate him. But shady Guy and obsessive Oab aren't much better. And Peach is also wrong for going behind Shin's back. Maybe Atom and Peach need to get away from those assholes and that hateful mother and start their own shop with grandma. It would be full of love and good vibes, not secrets, bitterness and in fighting like at the current shop.
Since the show is nearly over, unnecessary BL drama was inevitable, I just wish they hadn't thrown everything into chaos all at the same time.
