New plot and YinWar, yes please!!!! I know it looks low budget, but if the acting and writing are good, I'll still enjoy it. I've also been waiting for the PromMark ship to sail, so I hope it happens this time
Last week I said everything that happened was completely underwhelming and very predictable. This week I waited to watch because I knew things wouldn't improve. After finishing episode 6 I can say the only thing I enjoyed was the return of my favorite BL character, white washcloth. That washcloth has saved many beloved characters from random fevers, so I welcomed its return.
But the rest was underwhelming, foolish, boring and predictable. As others have said, this started good and went way downhill after episode 4. Kenji is the worst villain I've seen since that psycho from Chains of Heart. Even though this is losely based on a manhwa, he is less believable than a cartoon villian.
I don't understand why Thai screenwriters keep getting stories based on books/webtoons that people love and completely changing them for worse. I feel bad for the original writer, this is a joke and I'm definitely not laughing. I'll finish it, only because I also love MeenPing.
Honestly, I can't even lie.. I haven't really LOVED a Taiwanese BL series since HIStory 3: Make our days count.…
I definitely agree with you. But I couldn't even love History Make Our Days Count because of the finale. Before that came out, TBLs were among the best. Since that aired, nothing's really been memorable or worth rewatching.
I also don't want to hate, because actors are usually very good and scripts aren't repeating the same plot points over and over. I just wish I could watch one and get into it like I did in the past. Oh well, at least they're trying I guess.
I think a lot of us were looking forward to a resurgence of Taiwanese BLs this year. But for me, Kiseki: Dear to Me was the only one that wasn't mid or worse. This feels like more of the same. Maybe origami fans are loving it, but I'm not invested in anything happening in the series. I'm gonna put this on hold and maybe check back in in a few weeks to see if things have improved.
You didn't force me to watch it. We all only have ourselves and Xion to blame for this 13 weeks of pain. I won't hold a grudge because I know you suffered through it just like me 🤣.
But I won't sitting through another complete shit show series for at least another 6 months.
We're finally free!!! This purgatory is over and I couldn't be happier. In the end Krissy was the MVP for stating in front of everyone when Zeke came back to the boarding house for Christmas "the devil can't die easily" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Omg she knew what we were all thinking.
I won't bother complaining about the simple, unrealistic and unbelievable endings for every single character or more Christmas music or how much I detested the majority of the characters by the end. I'm just glad it's over. Another ill fated BL sequel is complete, hopefully, it can be a warning to all BL audiences current and future. The BL gods may grant your wish for a sequel of your favorite characters from a series you love, but that new season will be filled with pain, sadness and misery!
Of course we know the king gaslighter aka Zeke was the worst character in this series by far. But Xion was always going to give him a happy ending, so from start to finish literally nothing matters. This is the first BL I've finished where I completely hated the main character (and his equally awful mother). And I hope to never sit through 13 weeks of a series this bad again.
The tiny group of MDL masochists are the only thing that made this show mildly tolerable. And all of the comments here are the only thing I'll miss (and Chukchuk, because we're forced to tolerate Chukchuk in every Xion series). I'm soooooooooooooo freaking glad it's over! I hope the actors never have to work with this incompetent/lazy company again!!!!!!
I don't think that this series is targeting the usual BL viewers, at least not at underaged yaoi girls, so maybe…
Thanks for clarifying. I haven't heard of the screenwriter/dorector saying what type of audience this was made for. But I do agree that it's probably not intended for most BL fans.

You seem to be agreeing with my points, but also doing a us vs them thing with the fandom.
I know some people like to disparage underage BL fans, but at the end of the day every view counts. GMMTV is pretty much the only Thai network making BLs these days that explicitly caters to young audiences. But BL was originally geared towards younger audiences and without them BL wouldn't have exploded over the years. With so many non- college/high school BLs these days, I wouldn't consider either theme to still be the "norm". But ok, we all have options, I think the more viewers of any age for BLs the better, unless the content is not appropriate for that age group. I don't see how the industry benefits from looking down on whole groups of people especially since BL is about gay people, a group already marginalized in most parts of the world. I also don't see what yaoi has to do with this, but ok.
I also haven't really seen any who is vocally against the Faustian asepcts of the series. Just people who have issues with the acting and theater centric direction style. And the rating pretty much speaks for itself. This show isn't for everyone and it doesn't need to be. But I think people have pointed out legitimate criticisms with the series.
The best thing I can say about this series is that the company was smart to not release this for international audiences. The humor and over the top acting fits with many Thai series, especially series made for older audiences, but it doesn't translate for many international BL viewers who aren't used to that type of series. This would likely have a lower rating if more BL fans watched it.
I can't think of anything else "good" to say about it. I've always liked Fluke and have tolerated his recent series, but this was his worst performance IMO. He was completely unlikeable. And the doctor isn't much better. The angel's relationship with the doctor is supposed to pull viewers in, but everything about it irritated me. People literally died for this relationship that only existed for a few days. These people had no reason to fall in love, besides the fact the leads in BLs almost always fall in love. And all the sacrifices from soooo many other characters who I did end up caring about throughout the series, like both sets of parents, were completely ignored by the self involved couple. I had to force myself to finish the last episode because after 5 long episodes, I was COMPLETELY over that angel. Also, the make-up artist should be ashamed of them self.
Lastly, Nike is too good of an actor for this crap!
I just watched the first 2 episodes and don't know if I can get through 10 more episodes. Usually Thai BLs fail the most when it comes to writing and directing. In this case, the technical aspects are all very well done and clearly intentional. The acting isn't the worst I've seen, but Air's dad and Kyu were the only ones who I thought gave strong performances.
I think the issue is that the writer/director doesn't understand BL audiences and wants to make a stage play on the small screen. That was clear in 180 degrees, but I can give that a pass because the debate on whether or not that was even a BL is legit and all 3 actors gave incredible performances. Stage plays are also great and over acting works in that setting. But the mom in 180 degrees made that series miserable at times and it seems like a lot of the actors here were given the same direction that actress got in terms of being completely over the top. Big fans of theater may love that, but the majority of BL fans probably won't.
In this series, there's a lot to like, but overall it lacks the emotional connection that you usually get from Thai BLs. Plenty of shows have had unlikeable protagonists who grow over time. The problem here is Sun is a bad person with purely selfish motivations who is actively ruining lives every single episode. That might work once or twice, but over and over again it becomes insufferable. When the main character is the one I dislike the most, I usually give up on the series. Kyu is very interesting and the only reason I'll stick around for now. I wonder if the show would have been better if he was the main focus, but that's not gonna happen. Obviously, these two will eventually fall in love, because subpar BLs these days love forcing a "happy" ending for main characters who have no reason to be together. But I'm not sure if I'll have lost patience and interest by the time we get to that point.
I give up. I really like the actors and there are solid ideas here. But there are way too many side characters I'm not invested in getting too much screen time. There are flashbacks every other scene and barely any progress on anything. The intense music adds nothing to most scenes, but it is irritating.
May and Tam are soooo much more likable and interesting now that they're not obsessing over Kong and Phali. Too bad the show isn't focusing on the main characters for more than a few minutes per episode. As others have said, the bad writing is the problem. Dropped
IdolFactory has done it again! A unique story, good acting, solid directing and interesting characters. Shows like this are EXACTLY why I no longer settle for any BL that throws two random guys together with zero production value. Well made Thai BLs still exist!!!!
The first episode had everything and I can't wait for more. It's also available uncut on youtube, I hope everyone supports the company by watching on their official youtube channel.
