I liked the trailer for this show and the first episode was decent. But after 3 episodes, everything feels predictable and kinda bored. There are too many characters, so everyone just gets a few minutes besides the mains and that means there isn't much character development. Tam and Phali raced into a relationship, but I'm still not sure why or if they like each other. And I can't get invested in the relationship at all. And Kong is clearly not in to May at all.
I think this would have been better if they focused on Kong, Phali, May and Tam or just had a big friend group doing friend things and didn't force romance on both female characters.
In a year with so many poorly written/directed/acted Thai BLs, it's hard to be surprised when a new bad series airs. I watched the first episode. It fits with the usual pattern from this network. Writing worse than something a middle schooler could produce. A bloated cast with a few familiar faces, but mostly amatuers who I'm guessing the casting director just found on the street. I won't waste anyone's time pointing out the shortcomings with this bland plot. The rating feels accurate. Dropped.
Sometimes I forget that Thai BLs can have strong stories and well acted a d believable characters, but P'Aof never disappoints. The first episode was great. The vibe was perfect. Mark always impresses me with his acting and JimmySea have gotten much better since Vice Versa. Can't wait for next week.
I watched really late today so I'm just jumping in the convo. But I'm confused, was Jerome in last season too?…
Omg, it all makes sense now. The continuity person (probably Xion) messed up and gave Kevin's backstory to Matt instead. Matt was being a homophobic asshole and bullying, but all that should have taken place in a flashback at Zeke's school after he confessed to Kevin. And if that had happened, Zeke's mom's behavior would make sense. But for some reason all we see is Kevin looking like a sad puppy, hoping his owner will take him back never wanting to leave his side. 🤦♀️
Yes, all these side characters with their dumb/useless plots of filling most of the screen time. But without J×J×O×M this show would have zero entertainment value. Joel thinking he was being a nice guy by handing Oliver to Jason, only to have Oliver and his friends publicly embarrass him and Jason was pure comedy. Especially Matt calling them mistresses 🤣🙃. I can't with these people!
Someone really does need to tell Zeke to go f himself. He created his own problems and seems completely unaware of that fact.

Ok, I was starting to get concerned that missed all of last season. But yeah, I remember Jam and Jelai.
It's so messed up how some teachers trample on kid's dreams or aspirations for no damn reason! F that teacher!!!
Yeah, I SHOULD be team ZekeFifth, but I never want them to see each other again. I want Fifth to stay far away from Zeke. I want Kevin to leave too and stop being Zeke and his mom's punching bag. If Kevin not accepting his advances a year ago broke Zeke beyond repair, we should have seen that last season. And Zeke should have never gave Kevin an inch this season. They should have given us a backstory with Kevin being terrible to Zeke and ruining his life. But we got none of that. But we did get Zeke being selfish, gaslighting and being Non-communicative every single week. Zeke doesn't need a boyfriend, he needs a therapist.
Once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, thrice is a pattern and the first parts of episodes eight, nine, and…

I agree about Linda, Kim and co, Kendra, Iris and Lorraine.
I was very entertained by the extremely poorly written J×J×Matt×Oliver drama this week. So trashy and so ridiculous 🤣🤣. But the version you wrote would have been solid BL writing. Too bad we have Xion instead.
I just keep asking myself if I'm supposed to hate Zeke more than every other character, because I do! Poor Kevin, he's not that bad.
This is by far my favorite episode, because I gave up completely and started treating this as a parody of a bad telenovela. And it DELIVERED! From Zeke's mom's disdain for Kevin in every scene, to Linda always giving bad advice on the couch, Fifth's dad being cartoonishly evil, random cancer, Jerome being the real pschyo villian of the series, to Zeke having an endless pity party while also not giving a damn about anyone else, Jason actively hoing himself out just because, and Joel still being Mr. "I don't care" even when it comes to his own relationship! But the real MVP was Oliver, who clearly was the only one who understood the assignment. He has been consistent from day one. Despicable, gross, shady and wow did he end the love triangle in the most spectacular way possible. I laughed so much I cried! Thank you Oliver. Joel and Jason deserve each other because no one else should have to deal with their foolishness!
But even though I had fun laughing at how big of a cluster f*** this show has become, I can't help but feel bad for Kevin. I still don't know what he did that was sooooo awful that he deserves to be treated that way by Zeke and his mom. It's kind of amazing how awful the vast majority of the men in this series are. That's so rare in BL. Xion please never make another series.
I feel like I've been transported back to 2016 and I'm loving it!!! Gyoza and Manaow are so cute and their chemistry is undeniable. A lot happened in the first episode, I'm excited to watch the rest of the story unfold.
The guy who showed up at the hostel at the end was played by Mix Sahaphap Wongratch. He is 1/2 of another popular…
I love both series too. EarthMix are my bias so of course I love those series lol. But I'm guessing he was happy to do the scene since he's so close with Neo, Mark, First and Khao, but I would be surprised if he's in a season 2.
Great actors wasted by lazy script writing. The final episode was basically an epilogue that filled a bingo card of BL "moments". It was sweet wish fulfillment but had little connection to the rest of the episodes. Everything was wrapped up in a simple and convenient bow.
I will always be disappointed in a series that stretches out the pain and sadnesss throughout the vast majority of a series, while saving the happy moments till the very end. This could have been very good. But overall it was a nice concept that never went anywhere interesting.
If you want the sweet moments the intro promises, skip everything except the final episode.
Not me after 3 episodes finally realizing this is based on a webtoon I read years ago 🤦♀️
But anyway, this is sooooo good. I love everyone besides Kenji and Wal. Which is fine because the villians should be unlikeable. And I might love Boss and Tul even more than Guy and Tew. I've been hoping we'd get a Thai BL based on a Korean webtoon and it's even better than I could have imagined. I hope more Thai studios consider buying the rights to k stories going forward. The writers in Thailand have been missing the mark for a while, but Korean yaois and shounen Ais are consistently well written.
Such a wonderful series. It was like an unofficial part of the History series, from back when they were great. It was a bumpy journey, but everything fit together well. This would be a perfect series to binge watch and in the end, I can't help but want more.
The writing may not have been perfect, but it created 4 believable couples that I'm going to miss. All of the actors did an exceptional job. It's so rare to see BL actors so fully immersed their roles these days, but I never doubted for a second that the characters loved each other deeply. The resurgence of Taiwanese BL really made this year memorable. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who hasn't already seen it!
I prefer shows like this way over those which contain actors that I like but have shitty story telling. And Shadow…
I agree with a lot of what you said. Many stories that get turned into BL are altered for tv. Idk if Shadow is an original script or not. I appreciate series that have a great story and don't just rely on the couple to keep audiences entertained. But some of my favorite series have a had basic stories, but leads with amazing chemistry. Bad Buddy is an example of that. If the story is told well and has strong actors, I'm fine if it's simple.
But I'm also not completely against shipping culture in Thailand. I know it's not something you see in many other parts of the world, but it works in that culture. Of course there are flaws and fans and companies that take things to far. But crazed fans exist all over the world and overzealous companies are bad no matter what country they are in. I don't live in Thailand, so I would never want to police the people of Thailand and tell them how they should express their fandom. Fanmeetings happen throughout Asia and other parts of the world. The actors aren't forced into these roles and the events make the fans happy, so I can't negatively judge them. I find some of the activities at fanmeetings to be cringy, but I don't have to watch them if I don't want to. Lastly, actors everywhere should be paid better. But that is an international labor struggle and as long as viewers can watch most content for free, actors aren't gonna consistently get paid more.
Yesss that is what I was saying. It's because gmmtv and other bl companies know they will mostly get money out…
It's unfortunate because 2gether came out at the perfect time. If it came out before covid lockdowns or years later, it probably wouldn't have been nearly as popular. But a lot of people who were stuck at home and bored found the heavily marketed series and this "new" thing called BL and fell in love. Sadly, some of us already knew and loved BL, but our opinions mattered less to companies who knew BL could make them rich. Now it's a race to the bottom with more series, more actors, the same scripts and a lot less effort. As views for these series continue to slip, the companies don't seem to be planning a course correction. So unless the series has a strong director, great writer and talented actors, you end up with the same thing we've been getting non-stop for nearly 2 years 😮💨
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
🤣☠️. At this point the only thing I know for sure is that how ever they decide to resolve the stories for the MC and side characters it will be STUPID.
I think this would have been better if they focused on Kong, Phali, May and Tam or just had a big friend group doing friend things and didn't force romance on both female characters.

The channel owner can delete comments on youtube, which is a big reason why every awful BL on yt has comments section filled with great comments.
