Shows like this are why I refuse to accept medocrity in Thai BL. There's no excuse for lazy writing/directing and below average acting in series after series. Strong stories, great directing and wonderful acting exist in Thailand. Audiences just need to demand it more and stop giving a pass to any series that has your favs in it. The whole industry would be so much better if more series were as well made as Shadow.
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
I can't point my finger at anyone other than Xion. There were different writers listed for My Day and Tie the Knot and those series, My Story and Our Story all have the same issue. Bad everything (thebactors are fine) he's the only person involved in all 4 series and the one running the show. Lots of directors and producers have a hand in writing a series and don't always take credit for it. I blame him. Because The Day I Loved You was pretty much perfect, so I can't blame Easy Ferrer.
And yes you're right about the possibile conclusions to this horribly written mess. I have no doubt Xion will choose option one, but prefer option 3. All 3 characters should find someone else or be alone and spend some time getting to know themselves better.
Without those 4 dummies, this show would be unbearable to sit through. At least I can laugh at their stupidity and randomness.
There are some series that remind us why we shouldn't settle. And why we should expect and demand well written stories with believable characters, perfect pacing and meaningful conclusions. This series is so rare and special because it has all of those things and so much more. I want more series like this one.
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
At this point any combination of the 4 could end up together and I won't be surprised. Which is fine because at their foolishness is mildly entertaining compared to the MC
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
😱☠️🤣 oooooooo I didn't know underwear sniffer had a name. But yeah he's obviously in love with Oliver. Maybe the show will end with him, Oliver, J and J hooking up, because why not
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
That's the problem with the whole show. Xion likes to go for the simplest, most unrealistic, preachy or over the top overcome. The plots for each aspect of the story are weak as hell. And he doesn't care. If Oliver really wasted all this time on a revenge plot for two random classmates he had a few fights with last season, he deserves to be the guy who sniffing his underware!!!
A lot of the people in this series can act. But none have been given good material to work with. I even watched Jelai's scenes today and realized, yup Jelai can act too. Unfortunately Xion just has them screaming and talking about other people's business in pretty every scene they've been in in 3 seasons, smfh!
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing…
Exactly. None of them like the other because of "love" or "romance", this has always been a lust thing. Which is fine, we need all 3 to be on the same page and make it happen. But knowing Xion there will tears and cheating accusations instead 😒.
I'm still not convinced Joel knows anything about sex besides what he over heard in class a few times. But I would not be surprised if Jason used Zeke and Fifth's nightly shenanigans for his personal spank bank.
GMMTV BL series consistently have inflated ratings. When I look at the profiles of people praising the show while…
Exactly! I love reading/hearing perspectives on shows I watch that are different from mine. But if someone is just mean then blocking is the best option.
Oh wow that's awesome😁. Lots of BL fans have never seen those movies. But I think they're great.
Series like this are exactly why JBLs will always be my favorite. A cute, simple, slice of life story. I LOVE getting both characters' perspectives and watching them grow throughout the series. Ryuji and Amane were precious.
Yes, I wanted to see more episodes, but I prefer a short realistic series that tells a complete story, than 12 + episodes that drag out misunderstandings and drama just to fill the run time.
"HEY I'VE GOT A GREAT IDEA!!! LET'S PLAY FREAKING JINGLE BELLS DURING A REALLY EMOTIONALLY HEAVY SAD SCENE BECAUSE…
If Joel/Jason/Oliver don't have a threesome by the time this series ends, I'm gonna riot. It's the only thing that makes sense for these sex obsessed idiots. But I would be surprised if Joel actually participates since he seems clueless about what sex really is.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Xion has done it again! Just when I thought Joel was the worst character in the boarding house, Jason jumped in to claim the top spot. Jason the one who knows Oliver is a player, who also said his friendship with Joel means the most to him decides to just randomly have sex with his best friend's boyfriend, just because. Oh wow, Oliver is so despicable that I can't help but hope for a threesome. Those 3 deserve each other!
But for real, I must give props to Xion for always giving an array of LGBTQ characters something to do. Lorraine's change of heart seems a bit sudden, but I'm happy for her and Iris. Crazy Jerome knew the assignment and really went for it. The dude is scary and for once in 3 seasons I care about Jelai and hope they can get out of this horrible relationship quickly.
Lastly, Zeke, the show's biggest loser. In my Tyra voice I keep thinking WE WERE ROOTING FOR YOU. But at this point I'm over him. Mr. Constant pity party, Mr. Silent treatment, Mr. No communication. Mr. Blame others for the problems he created. Mr. Everyone should understand my perspective but I refuse to listen to or understand theirs. F Zeke. Kevin should run away from him too, because the second Kevin does something he doesn't like, he's gonna attack Kevin too. Fifth needs to find someone new.
The first 30 minutes was just a very long volleyball and ju jitsu pratice poorly edited together. I started to wonder if I was watching the wrong episode since there wasn't much world building like you would usually expect from a first episode. Things were just kinda happening from start to finish.
I didn't see one character that made me want to sit through another episode of this series. And between the fan club and constant bickering between the volleyball team, I know it's best for me to just skip this show and wait for something I actually find interesting. November is filled with new BLs, I'll be watching those instead of whatever this turns out to be.

Same. I try to stay in my lane and not involve myself in foolishness. One of the best features on this site imo is the block button. It allows me to quickly erase "toxic" people from my life. And enjoy the comments from people who also are here to share their opinions.
One of the major issues for Cherry Magic is that the Japanese group has to approve every single thing and they…
Wow, I had no idea. Thank you for letting me know. I read that Jojo wanted to create realistic LGBTQ characters. But I know many BL fans don't like realism, so I'm not really surprised they were forced to change things. But I wish the original vision was allowed to be filmed and seen by audiences.
Wow, I'm sooooo over this show. Once again a BL that starts off well, fails completely towards the end of the series. The plot was somewhat unique. I can't recall another BL that focused on a relationship between a boss and his male secretary. But it lost its way and now just keeps repeating the same beats over and over.
I was willing to ignore how woman have been depicted since the very first episode and how completely inappropriate the power imbalance of the MC's relationship was from the onset because it seemed like the story was going somewhere and the writer planned to make a point with those dynamics. But that never happened.
Instead Yao Shun Yu has had no agency since the kidnapping. He's a hostage to the kidnapper and then spends the rest of the series as a hostage to Xia Shang Zhou. The writer has not explained or shown most of his character motivations and the director of the series has forced him to be shocked, scared or sad in every scene. A basic writing course that anyone can find for free online, could teach the writer how to tell a more compelling/interesting story. Yes, in BLs the 2nd to last episode almost always has the couple separate, be broken hearted and then prepare for the final episode's big love confession. But prior to that a good BL focuses on showing the audience the MCs as a couple or at the very least falling in love. Somehow that most important aspect of the series was completely skipped.
Since the writer is not listed on MDL, I don’t know if they have any experience writing BLs. But I know I never want to see another series written by this person.
If you're on the fence about starting this show, I highly recommend that you skip it. This is insulting to BL fans and our intelligence. If it wasn't ending next week, I'd drop it.
*sigh* the finale was the perfect summary for this series. Everything tied up in a nice simple convenient bow, while also dangling what could have been and giving the audience some mind-boggling moments. If someone who had never seen the series watched episode 12, it would be hard to convince them for most of the episode that Sailom and Kang were more than friends. Bromance or romantic, the intimate emotional connection they shared died the second the love triangle was unnecessarily introduced.
But it was the other characters who were the highlight of the finale. Max an Auto were there, but never had much to do. It was nice to see an over weight character with a speaking part in a BL though. I'm sure the MarcPawin fans were satisfied. From My Gear and Your Gown to today, I have never found them interesting as a ship. But they were fine compared to the leads.
The endings for Pimfah and Napdao and Saifah and Name really summed up how the show completely missed the mark. Both pairs were given scraps in the finale which only highlighted what could have been. Many of us have been waiting for a long time for another GL and View and June showed in the makeup scene how great they could have been together. The promise of England will never manifest into a series and that's unfortunate. At least we have 23.5 to look forward to. An equal let down was the ending for Saifah and Name. Name taking the fall for everything was unnecessary. The promise of a roadtrip one day was pretty tragic since that day may never come. A focus on them, could have created a Thai BL akin to History: Trapped. What we got was hollow and frustrating. Papang did a great job though. This series and Only Friends, really showcased his talent for BL. GMMTV would be smart to give him a larger role in a future series, but knowing their track record, I'm sure they won't.
Overall, I'm glad I watched the show. The writing was a failure. And the title missed the mark COMPLETELY. But some of the actors, especially Perth and Papang did a great job with the material they were given.
I liked the ending. No “by your side forever” BL storybook bs for all of the characters at least That was…
The guy who showed up at the hostel at the end was played by Mix Sahaphap Wongratch. He is 1/2 of another popular GMMTV ship with Earth Pirapat. They starred in A Tale of a Thousand Stars, Cupid's Last Wish and Moonlight Chicken. Mix is also best friends with First and Khaotung irl.
