You summed up most people's thoughts on DR. I've stuck with NB mainly because I like MaxNat and don't take the plot seriously. It's bad but no worse than CP.

I can't figure out if O2 has less money than before or they're making too many series for the budget they have either way, I'll make time to start the 2nd season.
I'm starting to wonder who's worse, Xion or the writers of this series.
I don't really see it from that perspective. It's hard for me to paint Pinoy BL or Thai BL with a broad brush because there's so many different production companies and different region producing series.
But when I look back on LGBTQ media from the 90s I remember a time of "let the gays suffer", which is similar to what I saw in Chinese BLs before the ban. LGBTQ media in the 2000s focused more on mass acceptance (like you alluded to) but still told some important stories about LGBTQ people for LGBTQ people.
Overall, Thai BL today is about creating idols and making money for companies. Stories are often unrealistic, written by girls/women and targeted to mostly female audiences who are used to heterosexual gender norms. Dozens of Thai BLs made in any year could easily replace the "uke" character with a female and the story would be almost unchanged. There are a lot of reasons for that that I won't go into here. But there are also some great series made by LGBTQ writers and directors that focus on the gay experience and/or struggles gay people face.
Pinoy BLs on the other hand often include transgender women characters who aren't there for laughs. That almost never happens in BL from other countries. But they also usually include a strong moral or religious message, that is also somewhat unique to the Philippines.
I could say a lot more, but I'll stop there because I'm sure most people aren't reading Naught Babe comments to go down a rabbit hole of BL and LGBTQ history in film and tv.

I watch this when I wake up, so I didn't fall asleep. I usually exercise while watching it to keep from getting super bored or turning it off. I never watched Rainbow Prince, but I do remember Drake and I didn't hate his character.
I hate to admit it, but I haven't started Mr. Cinderella 2 yet. The trailer seemed really messy and after the last few 02 productions series, I needed a break. Until last week I had Love In Translation to combat some of the crap on Saturdays. Sadly that's over and Only Friends is the only series I watch today.

I was late because with some much trash (Dangerous Romance, Naughty Babe and this) each weekend, it takes me time to collect my thoghts after each episode and be prepared tobsit through more junk. So my comments were late on all the series.
Ok I also forgot about Drake. I tried to block out all the stuff with Kim and the search for Chukchuk, so that's probably why.
But I also didn't hate every second of the episode. There were moments where I didn't roll my eyes or want to throw something at the screen.

That resort must be packed. It feels like 90% of BL writers in Thailand and the Philippines spend all their time on the resort coming up with an endless amount of terrible scripts.
Another week and unfortunately another chance taken for them to completely destroy the characters even more. At…
I think you liked this episode much more than I did. But until I read your comment, I didn't even realize Oliver was in last season. I vaguely remember the bullies, but forgot Oliver was the main bully. Smfh!
Anyway, "This isn't a script, this is a brainstorm / first rough draft that never should have even been remotely considered anywhere near ready to be shown to anyone, let alone actually filmed." YES, 1000000% true!
There's an interesting story here about two boys who cling to each other because their parents never bothered to raise them or show them love. Who learn to love each other and become family. But Mandee couldn't be bothered to tell that story, so instead we get this messy telenovela plot with non-stop secrets from every single character.
It's obvious that Max is trying and I appreciate that. Zee and Nong have done a good job keeping me entertained each week, but since neither of them wasted their time filming this week's episode, Makorn was forced to carry the episode on his back. He was great in a every scene. Jab and Max should play father and son in all of their futue series. They are great together. But besides that, 5 seconds with Tutor and Aon being wonderful like always, nothing else is working.
It's sad that these basic Thai novels written for kids keep getting turned into scripts. The worst thing about Thai BL these days is definitely the bad writing and don't see that changing anytime soon. Because no matter how low a show is rated or how few views a series gets, companies keep churning out the same crap.
At this point we all know this show is awful. Even skipping the Kim and Jelai scenes don't make it better. Oliver, Iris and Sky/Kendra's mom are the only people I'm not completely over. Yes Iris constantly scowls and has nothing to do besides have a crush and listen to constant drama from her only friend, but i like her. Yes Oliver is a "villian" because the story is told the perspective of two liar best friends and not from his. But they are messy and him using then now is entertaining enough to fill time in each episode. In the end I don’t want him to be with Jason or Joel. And the mom is pretty much the mom of half the LGBTQ people in the city. She's a good person and hope she finds happiness by the end of the series.
But Keke and Fifth are a complete dumpster fire, destroyed by AWFUL writing. ,"I want the other one so I can cum insde you", umm NOPE! This is not what you say while eating noodles in the morning. This is not sexy flirtation. This is salacious and awkward. I'm not clutching my pearls because the characters are talking about sex, I'm rolling my eyes because they sound like kids who read a random yaoi and tried to mimic that during a breakfast conversation. So cringe and so poorly written.
The drama with Kevin is wasted because of how the story unfolded. If Fifth hadn't spent the 1st half of the series lying and trying to get Kevin and Keke back together, Kevin trying to break up their relationship now would work much better for the plot. But Fifth should be blaming himself and working to rebuild trust in the relationship. Instead he's standing there while Kevin keeps making grand confessions in public. Then live streaming his love for Keke to "the world". Who is even warching this livestream and since when does the country of the Philippines have less thsn 30,000 people? Linda please stop. 30,000 views is not viral sensation. And his confession didn't change or improve their relationship at all.
I never comment on this show, but I just have to say Mark's acting has been fantastic throughout this series. This week he was exceptional. Even though he hasn't been acting as long as some of the rest of the cast, he was on par with First and Khao and they are some of the best actors in the industry. Also, it's great seeing Papang getting more roles. He is also amazing.
I feel bad for BL lovers not watching this because of the low rating or subpar first episode. This show has it all, great chemistry from the MC, an office setting that doesn't feel like you're sitting in a boring job for hours, side characters that don't weigh the story down, simple but interesting story, actors who can act and chibis!!!! It's pretty much a live action shounen ai. So adorable 🥰
