What went wrong with this show? The middle was so entertaining and interesting, but the last few episodes, since around when Zee got out of the hospital, have stalled all the momentum. We've got one more episode and the only thing that's been resolved was exposing the spy. I didn't care at all about the spy.
But Sprite has gone from trying to help his brother and rebuilding team morale, to being a truly terrible boyfriend while smiling incessantly and acting confused about why First is mad ALL THE TIME. But Zee is also an awful brother and extremely selfish. Why did the writers drag out First finding out the truth and Zee finding out who the attackers are until the VERY end?!!?!?! The editor should find another career! This is so frustrating. And I feel really really bad for First.
i read that most of these boys are in a band together. so it was like.... promotion I guess, weird but yup. so…
Yes, I also heard that the group that preformed at the very end in the rain is the group that was created irl. But there are hundreds of idol groups and most never become famous. So I still don't think this show helped most of their careers in any real way.
I agree about the guy who played Nathee. I think a few of them weren't bad actors. And there was a hint at an interesting story about Nathee and Kita's secret relationship while also pursuing idol stardom and one about the love triangle between the twins. But nothing was fleshed out and sex was all they really sold for most of the characters with lines. This was such a waste.
Girl every time I see that damn purse I scream "PURSE FIRST! MISS PURSE FIRST!" the purse is to much LOL .....I…
You get it! The purse gives me life. But it also frustrates me every time I see it. In episode 7, I kept thinking, "oh no where is purse?" And, "I'm so bored, when is purse gonna get here?" Then as soon as it showed up I thought, "oh this b*tch, why are here now?!?!" But you know what, like always, purse STOLE THE SHOW. 👜Supremacy!!!
LMAO the purse!!!!Side note...that's how I always felt about Uea! lol
That's exactly my issue. Idc who is top/bottom, but I do care when the only thing that defines a character is his role in bed. Gay people are people, what position they take in bed is not who they are. I always cheer for the few "power bottoms" that exist in Thai BL because they are soooooo rare and almost always have more agency than the average bottom.
I think audiences are tired of women and some gay men being depicted as helpless damsels. The problem is the people behind the camera being lazy and going for shallow stories with characters who rarely still exist in the modern world. And a patriarchy that has decided that women and some gay men cannot take care of themselves and must rely on a man/top to come and save them. I really can't think one series that I loved where one of the leads was a damsel. But I can think of MANY amazing BLs where there were no damsels and top/bottom was not even relevant. It almost never gets brought up in JBLs and Taiwanese BLs regularly have series about two men, not a top/bottom. Thailand needs to do better, because it's become a bad and over used joke to keep repeating these dated tropes.
I've already said this is my favorite show airing right now and I can admit my bias, so I'm gonna fangirl and ignore all of the incest and age gap debates.
OMG!!! One week away felt like an eternity. I missed Toki sooooo much. But this episode had everything. It's slightly similar to another JBL that shall remain nameless and in that other show the high school guy loved the older guy, but the older guy took FOREVER to barely accept the confession. That drove me crazy, well not here!!!! I love communication almost as much as I love confessions. Both couples are making progress. And next week is gonna bring a new batch of drama and I'm here for all of it. Sahara is so cool, Toki is so goofy and adorable. I love them. Also the way the series is shot is incredibly beautiful. Every location looks better than a painting. I want to visit that lake 🥰 Ok I'm done.
That was hard to get through. Newbie kpop fans know more about the industry than everyone involved in the making of this series. I've never seen an idol competition with such low stakes. None of the main characters seemed even remotely interested in becoming an idol and spent all their time bickering and hooking up.
There were plenty of sex scenes, but it was the same formula every time. Neck kisses, chest kisses, lather, rinse and repeat. I know that works for a lot of viewers, but since nothing had any substance, it just felt like these "actors" signed up for a job, but were given nothing besides sex scenes and pointless conversations. I won't judge a viewer for wanting to see sex scenes. But this isn't going to help anyone's career advance and everyone knows it. Stuff like this is baggage on someone's career. It stays with them in future auditions and potential projects. Even if these guys have actual talent, it wasn't showcased here. So why even bother making it? It feels like exploitation and that's really sad.
I love BL, but watching show after show use desperate guys looking for fame to make another forgettable series just so some random studio executive can get a tax write off has gotten old. No one remembers the people behind the camera who don't give a damn about these series or actors. But they're the only ones making money off of these series. While the actors sell themselves and their future careers for next to nothing. All of the actors deserve so much better. And fans should start demanding better for them.
The only question is will you watch all 10 episodes? I've reentered my bad series appreciation arch and I'll be…
Same. I've got nothing on Tuesday and this beats nothing. Tin Tem Jai and Ai Long Nai aired on Mondays and that's the main reason I was able to sit through those series.
I trust your opinion, I'm not gonna watch this. Sorry that you had to suffer so I don't 😐
Haha, it's ok. I was expecting it to be very bad. You're smart to skip it. I couldn't recommend this to anyone, unless they were looking for a bad series to watch.
LMAO the purse!!!!Side note...that's how I always felt about Uea! lol
SOOOOOO MUCH MORE! But the sad truth is the longer BL goes on the more focused some of these companies have become on forcing heteronormative gender ideals on gay characters. Do men gay and straight have bags that they carry? Of course. But it's pretty obvious that Blue is a damsel who is constantly looking to be saved/taken care of by Him. And the purse is the most obvious accessory they could give Nail to make him also seem effeminate. I may be reaching, but I've yet to see a seme with a purse.
I don't mind meh acting when it's from rookies / newer actors that actually work well off of each, but with so…
The only question is will you watch all 10 episodes? I've reentered my bad series appreciation arch and I'll be here for the duration. Because this only gets worse.
Once again MFlow Entertainment has proven that it knows EXACTLY what BL fans want to see. A cast full of mostly women, yup! Bitter older managers who bicker constantly, of course. An attempted rape of our main character on his birthday, yes please! A nonsensical time travel theme with a glowing watch, wonderful. A script seemingly written by an alien who has never had human contact before and doesn't know how people interact/behave, I need more of this!
I'm joking, because after that episode, all I can do is laugh to keep myself from wanting to beat the people responsible for this abomination. MFlow Entertainment has never made a good show, but this is going to compete with Beyond the Star for it's worst.
After a 2023 filled with terrible Thai BLs, this almost feels like more of the same. I've seen worse and if this show featured an established ship with the same plot, I'm sure half the comments would be saying how great acting was, attacking others for pointing out any shortcomings in the "storytelling" and anxiously awaiting more NC scenes 🤡
There's nothing better in Thai BL than the chemistry OffGun have on screen. They are what most ships wish they could be. Like every other couple they play, Ten and Prem are so perfect together that I just can't stop smiling every time they're together.
After not liking episode 1, I binged episodes 2-10 and I'm so glad I gave this series a 2nd chance. It's really good. Even though most of the actors are inexperienced, everyone does a decent job. The plot and pacing flow well and the side characters aren't just there to talk about the leads, they have their own lives.
But for me the best part is Frame, I have no idea how the casting director found him, but they struck gold. Even most skilled actors can't effectively play twins, but Frame's portrayal of Zee and Sprite feels effortless. He is so good at playing characters that are so different from each other that I never ever have to question which one is on the screen. Most shows with twins give obvious visual cues like clothing colors/styles, hairstyles or moles/scars, to make it clear which is which. But Zee/Sprite look exactly the same and are totally different because Frame is doing a fantastic job being both characters. I hope he gets many more roles going forward. Also, his chemistry with Ryan is wonderful.
"I can't believe Thanwa was killed." That's what I was referring to in terms of the spoiler. Since that just happened today, it seems like a big spoiler for people who haven't watched epsiode 7.

I'm just sad there's only 2 more episodes.
