I strongly believe that his hair was braided by Qingtong. Bro had his hair on half ponytail all the time and Little…
Ahh, now you're making me imagine. Fugui staying still while Qing Tong braids his hair and yaps continuously. Probably even praising how his hair is so nice. It makes me think she also picked out his hair accessory. Now what am I gonna do with all this imagination?!
I can't get over Fugui's hair style and clothing in Episode 13! The cute braid at the back, the hair accessories, the light blue -white colored garments just screams I am free and peaceful! He smiles more often now and the way others keep saying to eat and drink stuff but he just nods yet when Qing Tong is the one to tell him, he goes and do the action and smiles with his cute hums of assent! Perfection! Perfect for the angst later. But for now this is perfection! Episode 12 is also epic with the sword scene! Honestly, I couldn't believe that took 50 minutes. I thought it was so short! The CGI was awesome! When he screamed no one should touch her I melted. Might rewatch before watching the next release today. Can't focus in work because of them bruh.

As long as Hongye is the clan leader, he can never be soft. I agree his parenting skills are the worst, but for someone who lost all his family, he was never taught how to become a good father while balancing being a clan head. As this is the last installment, I feel like it is Hongye who feels the most urgency with regard to the current situation of the world. It's not shown much in the storytelling yet because we're following Fugui's life now but what we see in the surface is just the calm before the storm. Hongye's actions can never be excused, but there are reasons for them. I hope that he redeems himself because I also do think Huaizhu is turning in her grave.

I haven't watched LiP, but I feel like people are forgetting he's also the head of the clan. He's trying to balance everything while receiving pressure from his front and back. Everyone is watching what he does and how he treats Fugui who's identity is trapped in "Soldier". He loves his son, but he also knows his son is a key to defeating their greatest enemy. I do think robbing Fugui of all the joys in life is not the way to go though and for sure he will realize it soon. But I understand Hongye for not being the stellar father of the year. He can't even be honest and 75% he is pushing Fugui and treating him like a weapon, but I also won't deny the 25% emotions that he had been showing as his love for his son. Hongye has his reasons, I don't like it because it hurts Fugui and clearly they just don't see eye to eye, but it also doesn't mean Hongye doesn't love his son. Fugui is his son with Haizhu and I don't think that's a fact that we can just take literally because everything in it contains Hongye's love and hope. Its quite bittersweet how I keep seeing Hongye's struggle to be a chief and trying love Fugui in subtle ways. Maybe its just me but I feel for both of them. Hongye is trapped in his own situation while so is Fugui and that's why their parting is probably the best right now.
Another epic set of episodes. They all feel so short! episode 13 is so sweet after all the suffering but of course, it's just a candy compared to the bitter medicine. ðŸ˜
So far, I really like the pacing of the drama. It doesn't drag too long in each arc. We've had 2 arcs plus the introduction and each episode is just so exciting. Tomorrow's episode is gonna be epic as well!
I was so worried that I was going to be given a 2 min happy ending but GLAD they took their timeeeee.
Same here! They did not disappoint! They already gave us a lot of lovey dovey scenes within the duration and the ending was also perfect! I love my happy endings! I'm so happy for them!!
What a perfect ending. I don't regret tuning in at all. Everything was perfect. But I think there was a bit of a hiccup at the last episode with the scene transition ijbol. But it didn't take away my enjoyment. They gave us more than 30 minutes of a good ending! So happy! Truly a gem.
