It was! I'm already feeling empty and I have complicated feelings about it. I love it but at the same time it breaks my heart but also happy. I can't explain it. I love both! Because it showed the growth of the characters. I can't pick! But I'd say Thai era was indeed young love while Nanjing era was mature love, a continuation of a love that was put on pause.
