I'll miss this drama. I wish I could erase my memory and watch it again. But overall, I'm just happy Zhao and Mu got their happy ending. They deserved it and Jin Zhao deserves all the good things in the world. I don't particularly like watching modern C-Drama but this was a wonderful watch. My heart is so full thinking about these two beloved characters and the main cast.

Though to be honest I could see some inconsistencies in the editing and small details but I don't acknowledge them anymore. I'm just so happy the drama ended splendidly. The last few episodes were fluffy and lighthearted and I'm glad we get to see an extended happy life compared to having 10-30 minutes of the last episode lmao.

Anyway, Zhao zhao mumu, day and night, never to part.

It took a while and it took Mumu's doggedness and determination to show him he's worth fighting for. Even now I'm still teary-eyed thinking about them 😭

Right? I was like, dude, that's AI. But I think his mind probably got messed up so much. It's always like that when it comes to Mumu but it was hilarious. 😭

Yes, that was truly heartbreaking. Jin Zhao made sure he won't be a burden and promised that to his father so that his father would give his contact info to Mumu once the time is right. But even until Mumu found Jin Zhao, he never did. It wasn't stated explicitly though. But its heavily implied that's why Jin Zhao did his best to return to a semblance of normality so that her mother and father would approve of him and he would feel he is worthy of Mumu. 😢

He lost his leg and had prosthetics in the novel. In the drama he suffered severe damage instead that limits his mobility which he could become disabled.

One thing I'm glad about the drama is the justification on Jin Zhao's part on not chasing Mumu. We know he insisted on going to Nanjing, he built himself up in preparation to find Mumu when he's stable. Now I know why he didn't look for her all this time. His condition hasn't improved that much for him to go looking for her. At the start we were shown that he still can't do a lot with his condition and he became more desperate when Mumu came and found him first (exercise scene and call with Dr. Julia, then the trail at the forest).

It all stems from his idea that he must be physically whole and capable because that's probably what he think is the only good thing about him (stemming from how he grew up). I don't condemn Jin Zhao for making the choices for Mumu when she was still 19/20, he was starting to get better in telling her things after San Lai slapped him with the truth, but after the incident, he retreated back to his old mindset.

Now I hope Jin Zhao will see that Mumu is no longer a girl he need to protect and shelter but someone who can go through thick and thin with him, someone whom he didn't have all these years when he thought he would be abandoned in the end if he's not capable enough.

I'm honestly happy that we get this version of Jin Zhao when it came to his leg but even if the drama followed the novel route, I will still accept it. But I'm glad Jin Zhao's fate didn't come from push to shove in this drama. That would be too cruel for the boy who only tried to live and do the best he can with what he have. And if at the end he didn't have Mumu to aspire to return to, I don't think he would be the Jin Zhao we know now.

I understand we see everything from the Fl's perspective and in return, we also feel the same as her because a lot of things are also hidden from us, and shown only glimpses. That's why Jin Zhao's actions are frustrating as well for us. It's difficult to know him and understand his decisions because he rarely shows us (thanks to perspective the drama is shot and the novel was written). Therefore, we only know and understand Jin Zhao through Mumu's lens which means its like analyzing a whole literature like symbolism and all.

I ranted to so much but this drama has me on a chokehold. There are things I'm not too satisfied about but compared to how the drama is overall, I say the team did a great job in adapting the novel. My heart is full. 🥺

I started playing the episodes x2 speed. Can’t believe this. I’m so sad 😭

The writers and directors imagination went wild here. The donghua had a better outlook. 🤧

Let me blacklist the names of the screenwriters and director. Shouldn’t there be a better way for this? And if SE, shouldn’t it go beautifully? My disappointment is through the roof. The potential remained a potential. My beloveds 😭

I still likethe drama but my high dropped when after all these episodes our leads are pushed to the background. I liked it so much that it's so sad what happened with all the potential ways the story could have gone. :(( My babies QT and FG :((( Its probably going to be SE which makes me even sadder...

I get so annoyed seeing QingCheng in my screen bruh. he gives me the creeps. I had to suffer while watching his manipulative face in the previous episodes. We'll see how my tolerance goes though because I've been following the drama everyday. I love it so I have been bad at waiting. 😂 Despite the separation, its nice to just see the story moving, but QingCheng is no no. Ijbol. 😂😂
