If Xiangliu gives up Chengrong army, and he takes her up on those intimate opportunities instead of pushing her away, then its XL/FFB. They mention multiple times she doesn't care for identities/status. She would love a demon or love a wastrel like FFB without a care. If Jing wasn't too weak/wishy washy with family/engagement, if he didnt make her wait 15 years, then they'd be together forever. Who she ends up with in the end is a result of all the experiences she had, so I guess she chose her best option. (If you talk about pure feelings, I think her soulmate is xiangliu lol, if you split all 3 men into 3 different dramas, that would be the one I'd die for).

There was a leaked script before and that scene was on it. It was to help him remember what he did that night with FFYY...I guess they had to simplify/make more dramatic some stuff for the drama

the reason I love this drama/novel is I rotate between who I ship depending on who I'm watching/reading T___T

XL kills Fenglong (he was general during the war) and he died in front of Xiaoyao So in that scene, she shoots him because she was angry about Fenglong, and XL is next going to kill Cangxuan, and says he will never surrender. She shot him, but her heart hurt and she didn't kill him. In repayment, he asked her for her blood to heal, one last time. She gives him a lot of her blood, and in the end it is revealed..he didnt even use it to heal, but used it to save Jing so she can have her lover back. T___T I cried buckets of tears.

XL dies from war, in battle. He used up all his lives, one of the last ones to save Xiaoyao again and remove the bug. He also used up all his energy before the last battle to make her a wedding gift. SIGH. Heartbreaking

There will be a war, CX against XL's chenrong army remnants. In that scene, he tells her he won't stop trying to kill CX, and he already killed a main character (i won't say who unless you want to know). He also mocks about Jing's death..but all of it is so she can hate him and sever ties and do something for him without her knowledge why

I luckily watched S1 without any reviews/comments/interactions from anyone and it helped me to fully enjoy and love the drama, and the novel. If it gets toxic here, I'll leave lol. I don't let anyone tell me what I should feel/like or dislike.

I think she chose the happiest ending for herself. She did love Jing since it ticks all her criteria, but like..I believe her soulmate is Xiangliu/FFB. Sometimes we don't get to be with our soulmates.

haha true. It's always been tough...She wants to be with Jing, if he can be Ye Shiqi, with Xiangliu if he can be FBB, and CX if he had gotten her from Jade Mountain. After watching S1 and reading the novel so many times, I know her life journey has been tough and all the events shaped her decisions, so I have no reason to be angry who she chooses as long as it makes her happy.

I'm glad in the trailer they showed him mesmerizing and her to ask the questions. She's willing to marry Jing, but who does she want to spend her life with? The fact it can be two different answers is SO good.

I'm dying for that too. That whole part in the book was so epic

She's also concubine to the previous Emperor, so his father's wife. I don't know why he kept her, maybe he does love her, or its a political/power thing.

So if he's Duke Su's age, and the concubine is the sister of Ji Shuran, then for sure she's older.
