I just saw that Tong will show up as Thorn here and I am so happy. I know that Mew will never make a cameo but at least Tong will do.

I think the turning point was one of their last encounters on a bridge when she told him he needed to find himself and become a person and rather than turn his life around and look inside himself, he became what we saw. He is an interesting character because he is very realistic. Someone who thinks very highly of himself of his morals puts unfeasible idealistic qualities in everyone around him. When they invariably disappoint him he is the victim and it is always someone else fault. Sorry, I hate this type of person but it does make for a good villain.

Wasn't he a villain the whole time through? He was awful as a husband tried to force her and when she finally escaped mind you his parents tried to kill her multiple times he decided he was in love. He didn't care at all what she wanted if she wanted him or not and when she was sent away and almost dyed again thanks to his parents he wasn't concerned. He thinks too highly of himself and can't even fathom the idea that she will not want him. Honestly, this type of villain is way worse than the mustache-twirling one.

Honestly not that long. What took the most effort was to put my thoughts about each one in a sentence only. To be honest I didn't even think about the MDL lists this was faster for me. I hope you found some that you didn't know about. Finding the upcoming ones was a pain though.

Kidnap – I personally enjoyed it but I read a lot of reviews saying that it fizzled out in the second half
Doku Koi: Doku mo Sugireba Koi to Naru – More of a lawyery Bl but still a great Japanese one.
Jack and Joker – Good but overrated
Two Worlds – A mess but for me watchable especially if you like Max and Nat
The Rebound – A sports Bl with an unexpected crime element
Spare me your mercy – An excellent Bl with a very heavy subject and light on the actual Bl
2023
The Sign – Fantasy, crime, and good actors
Kiseki: Dear to me – One of the best Taiwanese Bls
Dangerous Romance – Watchable but Perth and Chimon don’t have much of a chemistry
My dear gangster Oppa – Too rushed, 8 episodes were not enough
Laws of attraction – I am not a fan of this one but many people enjoy it.

KinnPorsche –
Triage – Not bad mostly medical BL with elements of fantasy and a smidgen of crime
Never Let Me Go – Again not bad but the second part was messy
Unforgotten Night – It was promoted as the first BL with BDSM elements and a throuple it lacks on all points and for me it was miscasted
Oh! My Sunshine Night – University Bl with a second half that drastically changes the plot. Honestly not particularly good but it has Ohm and Fluke
2021
Not me – One of the best BLs with a killer soundtrack
Light – This is an amazing short Taiwanese movie that deserves more recognition. I am still sad that the series that was supposed to come out will probably not happen
Golden Blood – Honestly one of the first Bls in this type of gender. A temu version of KinnPorsche

History 3 Trapped – A classic at this point but a classic with an uneven tone.
Manner of Death—I haven’t finished it yet, but it's a classic beloved by many. The acting was a bit meh for me.

I am watching it too. I was annoyed at the beginning but for me, it has gotten better. I like how he lets her deal with her problems because he believes she can handle it, and while I would have loved to see more romantic actions on his side at least the series is watchable. I've noticed that Chinese dramas are still more riddled with these types of male characters than Korean this days but there are exceptions. On the other hand, I am also watching Love Scout and the male lead is awesome.

I wanted to like it but the whole production was clunky to me. Honestly, I think that the Love Syndrom version of the characters would have been more interesting. And how much mafia needs to be in the series because if you are looking for BLs with crime elements I can tell you more.

I would be interested to find out if any of them are to your taste. And you are right; it is about timing. Even a master when you are not feeling it.

I understand this is why I didn't comment on the abuse you mentioned. If you see it that way then to you it is. This days if you don't agree you are against each other but I think a bit of dialog is always good when it comes to kdrama preferences. If I may here are some recommendations with male leads that are less let's say domineering: Touch Your Heart, Welcome to Samdal-ri, Marry My Husband, Flex X Cop, Brewing Love, Love to Hate You, etc.. You may have seen them all or you are not interested in any of them but I like recommending them and am also a veteran when it comes to kdrama so here you are.

I get what you mean, but I don't know how to explain it without going into the plot too much. Let's just say he has a reason for acting the way he does—well, a few reasons, actually. In the end, if you don't like it you don't like it my point was that for most of your criticism, there were explanations in the series.

Everyone has the right to opinion however most of the things you give as minuses to the series are explained in future episodes from why she is mute to why the mothers acts this way. You don't have to watch the whole series but when you write a review with only 3 episodes watched before dropping it most of your criticism comes from not seeing it through. When it comes to the ML's abusive behavior I want to comment it is up to interpretation but that is also explained in further episodes.
