Emotional and soothing. I love this drama very much…
Themes of ambition, redemption, and found family, with script written by one of the K-drama writers renowned for absolute tearjerkers, and the center of the drama carried easily by Ji Sung.
Bright production visuals that feel like spring, which is when drama was filmed too., and which is when I love to rewatch it. <3
What was that ending scenes ? Did I get confused with something else like did they start the organisation again…
I didn’t read the webtoon, but on its own it looks like
- a vague setup for a possible season 2 - even without s2, its a detail that adds to the theme of Lee Han Young continuing to atone and fight for justice as he says in the end - kang shin jin was extremely well connected so it’s not surprising that he’d continue to wield some sort of influence and scheme from the prison
Overall I feel it’s saying that, as one powerful figure is gone, someone else steps in to fill the power vacuum, that there will always be powerful foes to tackle…. and defeat. :)
Warm, humane, lighthearted. A very cozy watch, feels more like a slice of life mixed with comedy and just a dash of mystery. I found it to be a very charming, relaxing watch.
as someone who genuinely loves med kdramas, this one is just not it. some of the scenes tried too hard to be funny…
You described my feelings perfectly. I went into this having high opinion of ML, screenwriter, and director, and I and ended up being disappointed. The forced aspects took away from some genuine moments and it all felt rushed and superficial in the end.
Should've ended in 10 eps maxstarted good then reeeally draggeddidn't buy into fl x ml chemistry hypefl was boring…
He took the prosecutor home to reunite her with his parents and help them ease an old regret - they always regretted not feeding her a meal years back and she regretted not apologizing properly. It wasn’t a romantic thing as I understood it.
Likable characters and a hella charismatic antagonist. So many pairs of characters had excellent chemistry in this one.
It didn’t go dark or heavy on suspense, but was fun and exciting. The core corruption plot is something fairly common by now, so what made it stand out imo were the characters and many humorous scenes that made it extra enjoyable.
So true they could have given them a much better ending than they did. Honestly I think se hee deserved a better…
Actually I see it as her making the right choice (admitting she framed him) and turning a new page to learn to be her own person and finally find a calling in life. Lee Han Young makes note of this and we see him subtly be supportive. I imagine he will give her time to mature and find herself and maybe to give himself time to fully heal from her previous/past life betrayals (we know he doesn’t hold a grudge but I imagine it would take time to fully trust her), and then someday they meet again (perhaps in court) and rekindle their relationship.
To me the ending feels like a setup for this kind of future. ^^
Yep , atleast they should have met at last . I understand that she was feeling guilty for what she had done, I…
Yes, I’d like to believe that their ending is somehwat open-ended. There are hints that they could still end up together in the future considering she made the right choices and even he tried to protect her, not saying to anyone she helped set him up until she herself confessed.
Excellent acting and some interesting stories and character developments. I quite enjoyed it, more than I expected for such an older drama.
The writing was really well-paced in the first half, but then you can just feel that when they got the extension order and had to prolong the drama by a lot, the pacing suffers noticeably. But still, it remained watchable and I was glad to spend more time with the main characters that really grew on me as I watched.
And yes. FL starts off as annoying but changes in a slow and convincing way as we go on and becomes way more likeable. :)
I feel like I learned a lot about how a certain type of person can make for a truly despicable villain. Props to the actress, her delivery made it extra appalling .
And I agree with the comments below that friendship was the best part. The legal aspect here is really not that detailed, but the relationships between the characters are wonderful.
They didn’t show us the verdict of the trial other than Judge Shin being prosecuted and the other guy (economic…
As Kang Da-wit dismantled the corrupt network that was to ensure the judge rules against him, we can assume all the previous evidence about harassment safely ensured a fair verdict and the charges were dismissed.
I just started the show and binged the first 4 episodes. The ML is great and really carries the show. His character…
I felt the same and then I slowly warmed up to them as the drama progressed ^^ Well mainly FL and Yong-sil, but others ended up being more tolerable too and had some good moments too.
Also I do have a question about that ending, what kind of law firm did he founded? From what I can understand,…
My understanding is that they won’t charge a flat fee (or likely any if they lose) but would get a percentage of damages in cases they win for their clients. In big cases this sum can be hefty enough to easily finance them doing other small cases fully pro bono. But effectively the firm can’t be purely pro bono.
