They both look very feminine and fragile. I can see them as probably an strategist but both are not convincing as seasoned generals.
The thing is here LS is leading as a woman not pretending to be a man and she also looks more mature so it doesn't bother my brain as much.
Between the series that i've watched,The most believable female general is from oh my general.

I always have high hopes for war scenes in cdramas and i'm always disappointed. It needs alot of money, good writing, directing,set design ,cgi,.... Which i'm convined i will never see in a cdrama.
Can't a series have romance but the romance not to be forced on the viewer at every scene? Why do they need to execute a romantic sweet scene in the middle of a battle? Can't they wait until after.the problem with cdramas is they have a formula for the script and they over use it,which brings down the quality of the show.

Exactly my thought .he is killing his own people! Maybe he will get another round of amnesia and won't remember what he did.

The eps are short i feel they have removed some scenes.
The rolled up sleeves style of Ml reminds me of LOF ml.

Ignoring that the wutuo people could have turned them into porcupines before they reach the city gate. As soon as XJ turned up in that room, i was like no one is reporing anything to this Li Kuang? How long were they outside fighting that no one noticed them? 5 minutes? And they were at the city gate before that, preparing to send the women out! They didn't see them fighting their way to the city gate?
Were they arguing over the women for half a day, thats why they didn't notice?
Unfortunately i think the wrinting and execution has so many problems. It seems Their main goal wasn't to create a solid story but to just create sweet moments for the leads to satisfy the shippers.

That scene was badly written, executed and misplaced.just ruined it for me.
As soon as she got distracted and left that enemy my brain started to rant. Atleast slit his throat before leaving damn it.

Ep 1. Between 1:16 to 1:30 the close ups are ZY but the wider shots don't look like her it's either a camera trick or a double.
No why would i watch the bts? I'm watching a drama. I don't care about behind the scene!

In some fighting scenes I can clearly see a taller man used as a double for HY.lol.it just feels so weird.
Out of her 7 aids the shittiest one survived.
Her current team is just amazing.how they accept and respect her .i hope they all survive.

I haven't watched anything with them in it recently so can't comment on their acting except that i can't stand YSX baby voice.
I really like WXY acting, but i noticed a few scenes that his hand gestures and movements felt forced and unnatural while his facial expression and line delivery was good. He is young and not that experienced ,That's why i said i blame it on the director.

The poison being the cure isn't lazy writing , but how they introduced it in the plot is definitely lazy writing for me.it could've been made by FQZ using his shifu handbook.

The poisoning plot felt stupid at first and in the last ep it felt even more stupid. This is some lazy writing tbh.
I still don't understand why Zhong should give up the child of his friend to someone who was willing to kill children.they should have made FQZ the older brother and casted someone who looks like WXY, like the guy who played Li Lun in FOF. It makes more sense that the child was with the sect brother not some random immoral commander. I think FQZ should have completed the antidote that his shifu was working on.but they went with the frost poison is the antidote bullshit.
They could have kept TS as yesha but as a random kid from Haiya not BM's brother. I think they wanted to come up with a shocking plot twist, but i was actually shocked at how illogical and stupid it is.
Our leads somehow became a bit slow from ep 31. As soon as I saw TS in the prison i said ok he wants to go to heavenly prison to kill Wu lie.but the leads were like oh what is his purpose? For like half an ep.

This is a 7.5 drama for me.
The overall idea and plot was fine but it lacked in details. there were so many plot holes and illogical things happening. The writing and directing wasn't that good.
The overall plot was entertaining and I also watched for WXY. In last eps i noticed a bit of unnatural and forced gestures and acting from WXY. I don't know if it was how he thought he should act or what the director wanted. I blame it on the director.
I was annoyed by the acting of Chen Youwei and I just cringed everytime i saw him on the screen.other actors were mostly ok.

I cringe when i see chen you wei's acting.he was better in AJTL, what happened to him here?!
I first thought that JKY is his brother, but it is probably not the case. Why he wasn't in the list? And if zhong and Bei hei were old friends how and why did he give one child away?
FQZ seems to be younger than BM so i don't think he is BK.
Everyone that took a Haiya child took them as their own child, gave them their own surname except zhong.if he wanted to honour his friend and friend's wife ,why did he gave one child away? If someone kidnapped the child or pretended the child is dead how a good detective like zhong did't find out anything?!
Wu Lie deserves to die a terrible death and Bei Hei also deserved what happened to him.
Why the dangerous mutated soldiers where being treated insided the city among ordinary people and not outside the city in a military camp ,away from everyone else?!i don't know of these are plot holes or what but it seems very illogical!

I have turned off my brain nd am enjoying looking at ZY, CL and ZKL😁
I don't know about others but I actually prefer that they went with her surviving the assassination.reincarnation in someone else body isn't my favourite plot tbh.
one thing that bothers me is that they try so hard to push the romance as early as possible. I don't know who thought that making the fl constantly cling to and hug the ml is a good idea. The writing, directing and editing has definitely made this drama a bit low quality.
As for the fl i don't know if it's ZY interpretation of the role or it's what the director want, but i really don't get a boyish mischievousness and playfulness from her. Everything in her acting screams a giiirl. i get girlish playfulness from her. Her acting here reminds me of her character from BFTB.
CL role hasn't been as challenging as the fl yet so i don't have anything to complain yet.
I think if they went with the reincarnation plot ZY would've been a good choice with a few changes in her acting but for the current plot i don't think so.

I have watched all the released eps and so far i'm enjoying this series.but i have to say that this drama suffers from poor writing and unfortunately the actors are getting hate for it.
I don't understad the ml being posisoned mistakenly by fl plot at all. It feels like they didn't know how to introduce and connect the characters in a short time so they did this to quickly bring the poison guy in the team.the whole poisoning sequence felt stupid tbh. on the other hand they created an almost perfect ml, a genius and also good at fighting.in this case between ml ,zhuge and poison guy the fl is completely useless.so they had to make the ml weaker to make room for the fl and other characters.the problem is how they approached it. If they had to go with the poison plot they should have poisoned the ml in his 3 years away,then make him come back because he knows he doesnt have much time and wants to wrap things up with the help of others and clear the misunderstanding with his wife and then introduce the poison guy in a different way.they just chose the most stupid and convenient way.
Also i notice some details that are just annoying like ml standing in a corridor while everyone else is searching the mansion for the lost son in the tailor plot and no one notices him.
They also made zhuge being on their tail but conveniently he hasn't found out about ml yet and they are not even that secretive when they go outside.
Overall if we overlook such details the cases and the story is quite enjoyable and it's not bad as a low budget drama.I also enjoy looking at WXY 😁.hope he gets better script and higher budget dramas in the future.

I think the person the mother tried to protect was her maid not Huo Dairong. The maid is very sus.
