Hmm but I still feel this is a difference in opinion. Of course in some intense scenes, it is better to act than have voiceovers. But in more subtle scenes where the characters are having internal thoughts, it looks a lot more natural to have voiceovers than having them act their thoughts out. After all, this is television and not theatre acting and a lot more liberties can be taken with television acting. Like the example was given of Thi not showing through acting he is proud of Noey is something cannot be achieved by acting because it is his internal feeling that he doesn't want to show Noey, it's just for himself. So from the audience's perspective, it would have been odd that Thi is there acting out he is proud of Noey and Noey is not noticing it. Noey is not supposed to know that Thi is feeling proud of him. The focus should be more on the micro-expressions which Thi had (as I said before, he was smiling while looking at Noey). Of course, if people are skipping through scenes then they can miss the micro-expressions but it is instrumental for acting on screen. The voiceover then just reinforces what the character is actually smiling about rather than just having a character stand there smiling.

I think there are no strict rules when it comes to direction, writing, and production. At the end of the day, it's a choice made by the crew that some audience like and some don't. That doesn't make it right or wrong. Or else all writing styles would have been the same. I personally get annoyed when actors are acting out their subtle thoughts, just doesn't look natural.

I am not sure if some people here mistake "slow-mo moments" between MLs as long pauses because then they really shouldn't be watching a romantic series 🤣🤣 Have they ever seen a romantic kdrama? 🤭 They better buy a ticket to the next theatre act and watch things happen in real-time.

Noey's feelings towards Thi is supposed to be a bit confusing as he is hot & cold with him even in the novel. But viewers could obviously tell he was feeling something. But like surely you don't tell your 'bro' "I better increase the speed so you have no excuses to not hold my waist" 😆😆 it was pretty obvious from the MVs and trailers too that it was not going to be bromance. I am actually looking forward to more vulnerable moments of Noey because I think there is a scene when comes crying to Thi about something. Should show a different side of him.

Not many international viewers. But it has trended at #1 in Thailand for last 3 episodes and trended worldwide for sometime. Doing very well in Thailand! Seen many comments praising the refreshing story, actors, the comedic and cultural elements in the show and of course the retro vibe.

This! He went straight back to Thi. Thi is his safe zone. Even NidNhoi noticed that Noey seems to enjoy spending time with Thi. So Noey finally decided to give Thi a chance too because he thinks Thi is crazy about him 🤣🤣 But Thi will actually end up falling for him 😏

Hmm I don't agree actually. When Thi said he is proud of Noey he was actually looking at Noey & smiling. Like honestly, how else does one act out their proudness? 😅😅 When I feel proud, I just smile too. Don't know how others do it 😁 again at the end part I understood who was saying what because Noey has a softer /huskier tone.

About voiceover being effective ONLY in comedic scenes, that's just your opinion tbh. I have seen many great series bl/non bl in which actors have voiceovers and the genre is not always comedy. What you are describing sounds more theatrical to me and just a type of direction but that need not be the hard & fast rule.

Noey & Pam don't have age difference. They are both in M4 class but different schools. Noey moved on so easily because it was obvious he started liking Thi but was still clinging onto the idea of liking Pam. That's why he didn't feel too upset at Pam's rejection. It has been mentioned before that Noey's character both in drama and novel is very unpredictable. He does what he thinks he wants to do and wastes no time.

I actually like when they do the voiceovers, because no one really thinks out loud all the time in real life. So it gives the audience a peek into what they are thinking in their head. Makes them a bit more relatable.

Yes! So now the romantic part of the story has started so it's a dance of just them two 😍😍 It's simple but an effective detail.

There will be Noey thinking he might lose Thi to someone else when the SML shows up 😏.

When Thi asked Noey why he likes Pam so much, he literally didn't even answer the question well. Just said he saw her holding a lotus and praying and fell in "love". And then because Pam got the fortune about destiny and all that so Noey thought that's it, it's destiny 😂😂

But Noey's relationship with Thi will be different because he will actually get to know more about Thi as now he realised he is interested in him. So it will help him mature a little.

I keep posting here because I cannot move on from their cuteness each week! Not a lot of inter fans are watching this, even Thai fans are wondering why because even for them it's a breath of fresh air that needs more recognition.

Exactly! He is not confessing his love for Thi but more like he is giving Thi a "chance". He wants to know more about Thi in a romantic way. He even thinks Thi is lucky to have a soulmate like him and it must be destiny. It's a pity that the novel is not translated because Noey in the novel so so much more unpredictable than the one in series giving Thi whiplash haha.

The thing is that Noey is mercurial. Thi observed in the beginning of the episode that Noey goes through 7-8 modes in a day. So I am not surprised he acted on his feelings as soon as he realised it. Like I said, he found it interesting that Thi was consoling him (because in his mind Thi is madly in love with him) and he just said what's on his mind. And like you mentioned, he is an impatient teenager so he just does what he thinks fast. Even in the novel, Thi has a hard time keeping up with Noey's mood.

It was in his mind already. He was happier with the fact that he made some flowers out of the merit coins. He didn't seem too sad about the rejection either just a bit upset and seemed more surprised that Thi was consoling him. Usually, a heartbroken guy likes to wallow in sorrows but he wanted to spend the night with Thi because he thought of him as his safe zone which might have made him realise he likes Thi. Noey didn't really know much about Pam (other than her name), only that he liked her since he first saw her.

Even when NidNhoi said what's the story between him & Thi, he got shy. And he said he wants to take "Thi class" so more like he wants to learn more about Thi and flirt with him, that phase before one finally asks someone to be their boyfriend/girlfriend.
