I believe the show would have worked better with 13 episodes instead. They didn't have enough time for the ending so it was so messy and didn't fully do justice for the show. We didn't get a glimpse of the cop buddy, the convenience store girl nor the funeral session for both the 15th floor guy and cleaning lady (both kind person that is willing to give rather than take). The show quality up to ep 11 was great. It's just ep 12 so I can see that the director had no time to fit in scenes that is meaningful too and something the viewers want to see. An additional episode could address all this issue. Even Han Tae Seok having his happy moments with his wife and child is a question that is unanswered. Lots of opportunity for another special episode if they want to, doesn't have to be season 2 and would prefer not to have another season either because one season is good enough to end the series.

Anyway, I enjoyed it greatly and a zombie kdrama is a rarity in itself. It was a happy ride that is suspenseful.

Ep 10 spoiler: It is somewhat weird at how he could get into access to 15th floor room to kill Kim Se Hoon. Hope they would explain more about how he reach that stage (either by baiting kim se hoon out of his house or somehow andrew climb through the window or something from the roof since he was up there all the time)

Already expect how he looks like even without seeing the cast list because his facial structure underneath the mask already reminds me of the time he played a character in Producer. He was somewhat a neutral good alignment based on how he tried to help, give apple to cleaning lady, inform YSB about kicking them out and more though he was unpredictable.

Now it seems like he is fully on the chaotic evil side that wants to f up stuff.

Just think that when Male lead and female are dealing with one thing, another new issue popped up somewhere caused by the other residents. There is so much to take care off that you would rather deal with more imminent problem such as the infected. Dr Oh did try to drug them with the next pill (which if it worked, would have been bad) but male lead neutralized the threat.

When they brought up the fact that Dr Oh is a murderer to the resident, the resident don't really care about that since they have bigger issues to think about: Food, water and safety from the infected. Resident would rather ignore it and ensure that Dr Oh doesn't actually make things worst in case he got locked up or something. There is some plotholes but that's also the reality as to how the police work without having an arrest warrant even during an emergency. Especially an emergency that is never before seen to the point of martial law. Not a lot of days have passed since so it is another reason why the law is still so strong within the minds of the people and cops.

This is basically the Justice system where without an search/arrest warrant , police must follow the proper procedure which is why investigation and crime fighting becomes delayed. If he just took action, he would have been sued to the point of him paying a big fine and also lose his job (considering that no one really know another pandemic is happening and in a way where martial law would take place at the time).

I was thinking the meat could have some blood on it which is how he suppress it.

It's between the choice of being stuck with the infected woman without anyone knowing about it or to let her out of the bathroom as the infected woman shown signs of partial lucidity in understanding of being let out of the bathroom.

YSB was first pushed into the bathroom by that Dr Oh so she wouldn't have been feeling guilty about him getting infected. Additionally, in a flight-or-fight situation, you would not think beyond the circumstances but rather your survival and at the immediate benefit of being able to pick up tools to actually fight the infected woman. Being trapped in the bathroom is as good as dead since she has zero tools and room to actually fend off the infected. You wouldn't expect the Dr Oh to bolt out of the apartment room either when it is a do or die situation.

The form of infection is through physical contact or bites so YSB is aware that she needs to take the best action which is to find a tool to fight the infected off and to do that, she has to let the infected be distracted enough so that she don't go in barehanded (which in worst case scenario would mean that she would have gotten scratched again and at the time would mean increase chance of becoming the infected).

The SOU dude who is a friend of Sae Beom. There was a scene of him eating meat and being able to suppressed his feeling of thirst.

To add to my previous statement, if we were to think realistically, the power supply could be diverted to other purposes as well such as in keeping essential facilities running longer. Perhaps they need the added electricity in running supercomputers to find the cure.

You may have missed this point in the kdrama but han tae seok mention about how the power station workers could get infected thus those places would lack manpower (with the technical knowledge) to run the whole factory. You could argue that technology has advanced enough to make everything automated but having human intervention is vital to maintain everything in running smoothly long term. That's how tae seok explained it to the main characters if I recall correctly.

Of course, behind the scene, the corrupted Politian guy was the one that stopped the electricity from flowing. To run a city, you need lots of electricity so I am guessing he would rather stop having the electricity flow to the lockdown area. This would serve the purpose of stockpiling electricity for himself if this virus pandemic (which essentially creates infected that bite people) will be lasting a long time.

The internet being cut off is mostly because they want to keep the apartment people quiet rather than livestreaming and trying to get into contact with others outside (spreading more panic around). Water is the same reason of stockpiling rather than send it to these people because you need electricity to run water throughout people house as well.

The quarantine was initially because they have no idea who is infected in the many apartment there. They would just want to find the cure before going into those quarantine zone and attempt to cure whoever is infected.

I think the reason for the discredit and distrust towards Tae Seok is because both of them are not aware what happened to his wife. They assume Tae Seok is really doing it for the money especially when he said that out loud as his reason when yi hyun confronted him about it.

With what tae seok have so far done to them like trying to kidnap sae beom, that doesn't help either.

Definitely recommend others to check this out. This feels like a shangchi moment where the deleted scene could have added something to the depth of the story but I guess it was deleted to reduce air time.

Should spoiler the whole comment but yeah, good theory. Happiness is titled that way is based on the apartment being a happy place of sae beon and yi hyun which they want to protect at all cost. They can envision themselves living there for their future together. I do think emotions could trigger someone to turn quicker since they are so angry/stressed to the point of not being able to fight off their instinct to drink.

Sae beom most likely did not get infected is either she has the immunity like ellie from Last of us or her time spent in the hospital could be the factor that cause her immune system to better fight off the virus. My theory in regards to why she has not turned.

There was a part where they mentioned about the "zombies" not driving a car into the glass building door itself is because deep in their subconscious mind, they do not want to commit any crime and actually do not want to hurt anyone. However, if you don't lock up your bicycle or don't lock up the door, they may be triggered to commit a crime because it is like tempting the criminal to act upon it since it is a "free meal".

In this case, the apartment resident of the other building are still having this lucid state where they do not want to be criminal, but they are somewhat addicted to blood drinking once they have tasted it which is why they try to get into the building by having someone open the door for them. That way, they could justify their actions of committing the crime because you can't just let down such a good opportune time to do so. It's like people addicted to smoking/alcohol, they may not commit any robbery for money to get those but if you leave some cigs/alcohol lying on the street, they would just take it and use it to fuel their addiction. Those cigs/alcohol do not belong to them so it is stealing but because you leave it for free that is easily accessible to them, their instinct took over and they would blame the ones that left it there, justifying their actions.

Gym guy with the actual desire to want to kill the resident after being pushed out would undoubtedly act in ways where if he got kicked out, he would try to break down the glass door as revenge. He would certainly be more willing to do so since now the resident people actually offended him. It is much more different in comparison to the other building residents who have no agenda. So it is actually a good idea to keep him locked up in the gym rather then leave him outside where he may become even more desperate to bring everyone down with him.

Vlogger guy is indeed annoying but yeah, pretty sure some people are just that fame-seeking and just about want to do anything to get rich off theirs videos. Our society have come to the point where we pull out our phone to film just about everything, let alone a "youtuber".

Don't think hazmat guy is infected when he is paranoid of everything. Most probably he is passionate to show his collection to her and says she is busy to keep her there longer in seeing his collection.

There is many scene where the FL constantly mentioned about the apartment being her dream and happiness for the future since she was born in a family that constantly gets into fights. This is why she wants her own personal space that she can be happy about. The ML is also treating FL and the marriage as his own way to pursue happiness too.

I believe the writer went with the realistic and relevant scenario which in our current case is Covid-19. I don't think the story is being irresponsible when medicine or drugs are being tested everyday and rejected if it doesn't pass the rigorous test set by the medicine association. Even some of the covid-19 vaccine doesn't pass the test to actually be used on the general population.

I see this story in a positive light on raising awareness in trying to keep people away from buying unregulated medicine from unlicensed dealers such as those in the gym. Just because they say it reduce weight and increase concentration, people blindly trust those sellers without doing research or buying it from proper clinics. The moral here is to do your own research and find the proper expert/doctors that can prescribe you with the legitimate medicines.

Moreover, the writer also intend to raise the vigilance of people by reminding them to take the disaster SMS/messages seriously rather than treat it like any normal day. There is also positive messages of how people can find a way to adapt to their new lifestyle so you should not just give up.

These are my personal thoughts after watching the 3 episode and if people can't separate drama with reality where they turned into anti-vaxxer whom start to spread fake news, then it is bound to happen to them even without this drama existence. So I would rather look on the bright side which made me enjoy the storyline that the show is offering.

She is trained to actually deal with crisis as seen with her method of using the pillow to prevent the lady from biting on the spot. People in those situation would have been feeling fear to the point of not reacting as calmly as she did. Being physically gifted which is a requirement to be in SOU means that for this show, she will be doing more action/stunts that normal individual would not be able to pull off. Being intelligent, stay calm and quick-minded is definitely a requirement too in the scenario she is living in right now.

Having a "husaband" that is a detective means the problem-solving skills and guesswork will be strong in this one. A perfect pair.

yeap, I spotted that too and I know for sure infected lady scratched the old lady as she got pushed. Old lady could have gotten treatment but got neglected by both the husband and son. The husband seems to be a tsundere where he is cold on the outside but seemingly still oblige to buy the burger for his wife as requested. If only he checked earlier and decide not to ignore her. Anyway, him and his son would be the first to be bitten served up the platter.
