I'm on ep 8-why don't they ever get this ML her own attorney, hire her own body guards, any of her own folks?…
The reason why she has no employees is mainly because they have all quit and she believe she doesn't need any of them (thus never opened up the option to have a new batch hired) (also the fact that she is very troublesome and demanding in what she wants so the workers is extremely reluctant to work with her despite the pay). All she needs was Kim Dan and Ms Jung to care for her wellbeing.
All I can say is that for future potential viewers is that whether the reviews are negative or positive here, I believe this drama deserves a chance to be watched which you may in fact, start loving the story portray here between our beautiful cast members. I am on the side that went in without expectation for the drama. I have watched Temperature of Love which was ML's work and I got similar vibe from that character to this. We also have Mr Queen's where the FL acted there in a persona that is different from the current body host. But those two drama didn't create a big hype for me as to what to expect because the synopsis just make me believe this would be a typical cliche story which I was proven wrong now that I have finished it.
For my personal review, The drama is wonderful where the characters blend which each other so well. Story wasn't dragged out albeit it could be slightly faster than usual near the end of the story as opposed to the early parts which went down slower. If you enjoy classical music, there is elements of that in the story and as an avid watcher of Ling Ling Twoset violin, it's funny to inspect the bow movement and recognize the piece being played. Overall, I highly valued the moral behind the drama and recommend you give it a watch!
that was such a useless characteristic. at the very end he can speak both english and korean, so like that day's…
My interpretation or speculation is that he transforms into a variety of people based on a standard template of sort. The template would be like gathering the most common traits from an age group, facial features, body type and hair rather than actual existing people.
Inwardly, he is still the same and only understands korean but outwardly, his expression/language/shoes size/perception/physique changed. He only understands Korean and English because English is quite a commonly international language used around the globe and likely would be learnt through highschool in Korea. So he could be bilingual from the start but never bothered to use English as there wasn't a need for it in communication with his girlfriend. He used only at the end because he didn't want to meet with his gf again and wanted to feint his identity.
On the other hand, he don't really know Japanese as he never learnt it in school and that is the case for students in korea as well. But because he adopted a basic template for a Japanese woman that is her in 20s, he acquire her trait in speaking the language outwardly but never truly understand it.
I am not sure if I am able to explained it well but I find that it isn't as illogical as it seems because he could bilingual right from the start and whatever things he learnt would still be brought forward to the next body template. Like his skills in making furniture where no matter what body he uses, he would still be able to craft a masterful work. So naturally he brought both Korean and English to the next body but never truly interest him to learn other languages and thus being unable to understand them.
Unfortunately I don't like Yoon Sang Hyun as an actor. Does he appear a lot or is it mostly about the younger…
I would argue that Lee Do Hyun appears 70% of the time and Yoon Sang Hyun appears more in flashbacks and for some specific camera sequences. Personally I like that he is a contrast to the image of Lee Do Hyun since he is supposed to be the grumpy, depressed looking fella where everyone doesn't really think of him as much.
I just recently watch the movie and as I was scrolling through the reviews, saw yours which was filled with question. I thought I would answer them as it is still fresh in my mind. Basically, the victim's husband died falling right after hearing the news of his wife's death alongside his daughter. He died because he was accidentally thrown off the side of a building whilst in confrontation with Kang Ha Neul. From a detective point of view as well as from my viewer experience from watching this type of movie, I am sure the writer intend for this to be the case where the detective didn't get to suspect the husband motive because even though the husband did buy the insurance, he died which forces him to not get any actual monetary benefit from the insurance. A person benefiting from a person's murder has to stay alive to do so but because the husband died, perhaps the detective thought he committed suicide (due to grief) which is another possibility. The alibi also checks out since the husband wasn't the actual killer as he was in the hospital at the time.
There is no fingerprint evidence as he wore a glove nor did any hair has fallen out because of the hat. Neither did he bleed so no DNA evidence there (no conflict as the two women died instantaneously from the stab). His actual shoeprint would likely show due to it being bloody up but as it was raining that night, him leaving the scene of the crime would have all traces be washed away by the rain. He is totally a random stranger who was a hitman with little to no relationship with the family (other than having the husband be his brother's doctor) though the husband must have loads of patients so the motive here is not solid enough to warrant that he killed the family for any particular reason. The internet back then was untraceable and even the phone calls could have been made by the husband using a burner phone with a number that don't link with his identity. The only evidence would be the bloody shoeprint at home and the knife. Maybe even the fact that he got access into the home so easily but those evidence wouldn't linked back with KHN as he is a totally unrelated killer in terms of having motives which only he and the husband would know.
The real brother did die at the end cause he has no money to pay for the surgery and because he was so traumatized, he must have forgotten about everything and just wallow in despair. In that case, he could never gotten the money to pay for his brother's surgery and thus, dying is the only option.
Those are my answers to the question posed and I felt like the writer consider all aspects already. Just that to include every single detail would make the movie longer than it should and so the writer include enough detail for us to make a basic deduction on how it went down.
Regarding the final kiss scene for episode 11, I felt that the director have wasted the opportunity of that scene where Hong Dae Young could have been his 38 years old self. Especially now that JDJ was drunk, the director should have shot it in a way where Dae Young initially climbed the stair being his 18 years old self, but the camera panned behind her horizontally to reveal what she saw which were the 38 years old self. Then the 38 years old self initiated the kiss. If not, she could be the one that changed back to her younger self as if she re imagined being younger again and receiving the love she hoped for.
I understand that I should imagine him as being a 38 year old trapped in his 18 years old body which should make it right for his character to remain in the kissing act. But because we have seen so many scene of him turning into his 38 year old self (albeit he didn't actually turn back physically), I believe the director could went with that for a much greater impact cause we can finally have that one moment where they reunite and started having their flames burned brighter again.
Therefore, I wasn't as satisfied with that scene which the director chose and I am questioning how the writer and the other staff members perceives that particular scene. Could be that they wanted fan-service or to gain some "extra attention" but 18 again have been really an emotional ride for me. So going for this route doesn't make me feel as much emotions as I potentially should have if shot differently. I am still gonna continue watching 18 again till the end because nonetheless, it is still such a great drama with inspiring messages and the emotional development has been strong between the cast. That's my thoughts and opinion so other than that, I do recommend people to watch this drama.
True, thinking about it now it was weird. But I think the main reason she went with his commentary was that she…
Definitely, she was bothered by it and asked her kid's opinion on her skirt length. It shows that she is wearing something she doesn't usually do and she wasn't as comfortable. But due to having a mindset of wanting to look better on her first day, she tried something different. Although her mind was always thinking about wearing her usual style of clothes to which having someone reaffirms that idea made her to an instant-switch.
I can understand even if I do not agree why someone who got pregnant as a girl would have a negative stigma on…
To be a news anchor is almost like trying to be a celebrity. Between someone married with child or a "single" and young individual, it's natural in the Korean society that male individual (especially the young generation) would idolize and imagine themselves as being "boyfriend" of such individuals, almost as if the news anchor should not have someone else on her heart. For female individuals, it would be more of jealousy and envy that someone older can get a role whilst the usual route for a "mother" is to become a housewife in a conservative/traditional styled society like Korea. A news company is aware that society doesn't favor mother working outside on a job since the children could only be taken care by one of the parent (usually the mother) and that's just one of the reasons why. There is many more factors at play but I will leave it at that.
Episode 9 was very good, Lee Joon Ki's acting was always top notch for me and never disappoints me with his intensity. Moon Chae Won was even more so a shocker to me in episode 9 where her expression becomes perfection, embodying her desperation. I have finished Psycho but it's okay recently and I am surprised to see FOE having a similar lead with ASPD tendencies. Maybe I am getting addicted to this kind of lead but both drama shows the same great quality early on in the episodes. IOTNBO turns out great at the ending so I am hoping the same for FOE in maintaining their excellence.
Wait what the heck? Are they not aware of the characters condition? Jeez it's not okay but it was never meant…
Yeap, what O-Ring says is factual and he is a bystander, not a hater so please don't attack him. Please show to others of IOTNBO's fanbase being a good fanbase with good intention and with one of the best drama we loved/share about. The one thing we can hope for is that the punishment/penalty will be as light as possible without any real damage to affecting the drama chances of winning an award or being shown to the whole world. I believe that IOTNBO can weather through this incident.
Finished! But just a question: what happened to Moon Young's ASPD? Did she really have it? They did not even tackled…
I believe she was mentally abused by her mother which made her shows symptoms related/tendencies to ASPD. As seen during her childhood flashback, she was happy when she saw young gang-tae walked up to the mansion to meet her. Only for her to be blocked by her mother. Thus as the drama progresses, she was healed enough to revert back to her original personality of someone that actually wants joy rather than to fully distance themselves from friends/family. This is also why she became friend with Ju-ri during her childhood and even shown some care toward her. So, I speculate she was not born like that but was nurtured that way.
Disappointed by the end! A typical fan service drama that grasps you by the looks mostly. Abundance of emotions,…
It's interesting that you used the words "extremely shallow plot-less melodramatic shit" when the majority of the commenters here praises the story instead. Time for me to go Lee Sang-in style and gift you with 2 boxes of energy drink just like how he gifted the suicide bomber every time for his criticism until he got his neck broken by Ko Mun Yeong.
A fitting finale for our new "Moon/Mun" family with a satisfying outcome for all the characters. There is no perfect story and yet we find beauty in imperfection. As quoted by Mun Yeong early on, "there is no flawlessness" - we must learn to accept it and embrace it warmly. By overcoming it all can we grow with the drama. Although I got to say it straight up in KMY's style, perfect ending and I love it!!! XD The amount of time allocated to the ending without leaving us hanging, I wish I had that for the majority of the dramas I watched in the past. Thanks to all the IOTNBO cast members & staffs & writer & director and also to the community here which I have greatly enjoyed talking with. I am never gonna forget this drama and the happiness I found~
It's sad to see a drama that I so dearly invest my emotion in ending today. But we all know that every story will have an ending one day thus I will put this drama in my heart. Whether it be a sad ending or a happy ending, I am sure I will overcome it and become an adult in soul again as I became a child watching a fairytale unfolds in front of me, healing me in he process.
Damn. Was scrolling through all the MDL reviews and must say that it's the first drama I have seen which has many…
Nice, I have updated mine to reflect episode 15 which should also encompassed episode 16 which haven't aired yet but I expect the drama ending to be a good one based on previous patterns by the writer!
