This wasn't hard to watch without subs on YTube. The only parts that were confusing were about the second lead - and he was pretty much a flute-playing, gentle scholar trope for most of the show. I'm still looking for the last four episodes if anyone spots them . . .
I'm gave this a pretty high rating but (imho) it still isn't the drama that Scarlet Heart was. I think that the shorter drama and choppy editing of scenes and/or dialogue made it this way, not the acting. Actually, I thought all the actors did a good job with what they were given - and the fact that they were acting with the fabulous LGK. Just think what this could have been spread over 24-28 episodes! Still so lovely, still so complicated, still so sorrowful - only we could have understood it all.
While this is indeed a funny show - it's not so crazy that you can't imagine Go Ho as a co-worker or a fellow student. I loved that she liked her job, she liked her friends and that she made time for her other co-workers instead of the usual harpy k-drama coworkers. She was real and real funny at the same time.
I didn't feel like the the cropped length did much to change the story - halfway in we already knew the results of the medical cover-up, the second lead and the criminal medical experiments. I would have liked more twists in the plot to keep the story going. Loved the side characters, though.
Light, not much chemistry in the OTP. Quite frankly, any guy that was such a mamas boy was never going to be a good choice. Although the stuff she made him do was very funny. And how he told his mom the heroine was a "tom" was quick thinking!
Surprisingly good short and sweet drama. Most characters acted like adults, the heroine was a believable modern working woman and her dating choices very truthful. Yes, the storyline was a little choppy but for how short the episodes were, pretty good. I'd like more like this than the typical idol short dramas!
Yeh, the emotions were deep and the music was lovely so there were a few tears. Other than that, meh. I feel bad that Kusakabe Yuu only got one freakin day to try and make her happy.
I put off finishing this drama because I was very worried about how the drama was progressing - it was turning from an action piece to a political and harem drama. Oh, how I was pleased to see how things turned out. There is a lot of repetition during the early years of the dynasty but that is because more and more enemies turn up and have to be beaten down. Great acting, lovely sets, costumes, music. I can't wait to see what else Ruby Lin's production company is going to come up with!
