Well, I'm glad someone is enjoying this show. I just dropped it after 4 episodes. The heroine acts about four and the lead is an idiot with with questionable friends. I can't believe anyone whom he's mentioned this girl to didn't question his sanity. I watch a lot of slap-kiss lakorns and so far this pair is dumber than most of the second screechy leads. I want those four hours back!
Sleek movie version of the novel is very pretty but choppy. I liked Yi Chen's colleagues better in this version and the storyline actually made the first husband, Ying Hui, much more sympathetic. Despite displaying his kissing talents, Huang Xiao Ming as He Yi Chen was even more of a wooden plank than the novel described him as. The other characters, including Yang Mi as Zhao Mo Sheng, were fine.
I like stories where the leads clash but, this was indeed a really hard one to watch. By the time she springs into her "new" persona as Honey, so much shit has gone down that I don't know why her millionaire daddy doesn't just say, "How about a year in Paris, sweetie, to help you get over being beaten, raped, held captive and have a miscarriage." Or maybe he could send someone over for a beating. I was there for the actors - why does Louis Scott never get anything but the muscular second lead roles? Watch this at your own peril.
OK. It looks decent enough, I'm waiting patiently for the subtitles. But guys, 9.5? Really? Chill out with…
I just watched up to ep. 3 raw and actually raised my rating. The plot is different from the book but the changes allow compressing the storyline. By ep. 3, Ping Ting is using some of her martial arts smarts again. Not actions but planning.
Okay - marathoner this over the holidays and finished it. Pretty sweet in places but pretty cruel in others. For the love of all that is good, please stop casting Sung Joon as an uptight jerk! Sexy rocker - yes. Cool dj - yes. Even a killer - but no more overwrought business execs.
I never thought I would watch this show as I read many bad reviews but I'm being pleasantly surprised six episodes in. I actually don't mind all the work shenanigans but the family - well, that's what fast forwarding is for. And the second lead couple is great!
Oh, Princess Jieyou, I had to jump ahead and watch the final episode because I couldn't wait any longer for subs. Now, if only I knew what the end scene was. Was he convincing her to stay or was that a final goodbye hug? Please, someone, finish subbing this!
