Title Eternal Love Spoiler
I was just watching Love Eternal ep. 28 and I just realized that he was trying to kill himself in front of the Soul Lantern because he finally thought SuSu was dead. Don't watch shows when you are half asleep, kids!

Kind of a draggy lakorn - although it was nice to see most characters and plot get wrapped up. I liked the natural…
I watched it on YouTube.

Getting close to the last episodes of the drama and wondering what I'm going to do with myself when this…
You know, it's an entirely different kind of story. G&I is more of an imaginary historical drama while EL is a fantasy, gods and goddesses world. I like those kinds of novels but not everyone does. It does have the Croton style which is lovely and cheesy at the same time.

I'm confused (I blame my substandard facial recognition skills): could someone explain what is the relation…
If you really want the lowdown- in the book he is the twin brother of Mo Yuan who doesn't get born. Instead his spirit is put in a receptacle - in the book, an egg! - and he doesn't get born until the princeess who needs a baby finds him. That's why the say all the symbolic things at Ye Hua's birth are the same as when Mo Yuan was born.

Lol... "Su Jin is so bad" is currently trending on Weibo. C-netizens hate her a lot.
Yep, I'm watching on YouTube and SuJin goes past "I'm doing it all for love" right into "I'm a spoiled bitch." Which is a shame because I liked her character as a child. That Heavenly Emperor twists everyone . . .

It's a different kind of story - ancient gods and tribes - but it's still a good story, fiilmed with that Croton Media touch. Lovely scenes, popular actors, sketchy CGI.

Title General and I Spoiler
Just wondering if anyone watching the later episodes knows who Wang Tianchen is? He plays the mercenary Fan Lu. He mistakes the female doctor Zui Ju for PingTing, and later falls in love with her. He looks very familiar - I swear I've seen that sassy face before!

So, I just binged and got up to date again (episode 50) by skimming a lot of episodes because I have no interest…
That's funny - because I'm skipping all the courtly BS and only hanging around for He Xia. I love long term revenge plots and I especially like plots where the evil doers are consumed by their own deeds. We kinda already know the ending because the closing montage spoils the heck out of it - but I'm wondering how He Xia likes playing King of the Mountain all by his lonesome.

Well, one episode in and lead Yoshimoto Miyu as Yasuroka Hanabi seems mighty crazy eyed! Not having read the manga, I can't say for sure but I'm hoping she doesn't end up with a cellar full of dead bodies that resemble her first crush.

Not a bad adaptation so far. CGI quality standard for a Croton Megahit production. Zhang Vin
as Li Jing was a pleasant surprise! KO forever!

Title Kon La Kop Fah Spoiler
I was pleasantly surprised at all the "let's model good behavior" episodes in this slap/kiss lakorn. It was almost as though they had behavioral product placement. Let's start out with elephant in the room - the lead is publicly accused of rape. The police investigate it. While he proven not-guilty from lack of evidence, everything is above board and public. That's a BIG change from most rape stories in lakorns! As a result of this case, the lead Chinapat / Chin develops a drinking problem, drives while drunk and injures his mother in the resulting crash. So, he gives up drinking. There are several scenes where he thinks about starting to drink again and the dialogue is almost out of an AA meeting. His mother tells him "Don't use alcohol to solve your problems, use your brain to solve your problems." Once again, people taking responsibility for their actions! Side character, San (played by Natwara Wongwasana), develops some very understandable depression at one point and kills herself. The leads talk about how important it is to know that being depressed isn't showing weakness and that we should encourage depressed people to get help "just like any other illness!" Wow! Then, finally, Chin seeks about medical and psychological treatment (group therapy!) for his anger issues. That is more modern behavior in a lakorn than I've ever seen. It's an okay plot - kind of revenge-driven - but you learn a lot about rubber plantations and the perils of unprotected sex! Not too shabby, lakorn land!
