I cried for Yeo II. Get past the baaadddd cgi scenes and the craaaap antagonist, this is a good movie. The leads are good and really deliver compelling characters. The portrait of the villagers presented by the actors is great. The story is great. Directing/writing/music all work. Not without some knowledge of the west's war in Korea, UN forces were absolute monsters to the people of Korea, north and south. The UN forces in this movie are terrible character rolls, terrible performance, and super cliche. It does highlight the difference between the warring governments and the victims of the war. The end of this movie is sad yet gives a feel-good touch to the heroes and victims.
The movie ends dead stop mid thought. Part 3 is clearly projected. Considering what I have read and how I reviewed this movie, part 3 is not worth the wait. There is only one dynamic fight scene, 1.45 hrs into the movie. The only thing after that is just major anticlimax disappointment. Some of acting is very compelling: Shin, Park, and Sung shine with chemistry. They generate the only empathetic drama.
such poor writing. The FL is getting abused by her own family and her in-laws. Has literally NO ONE on her side.…
The in law thing is a major feature of kdrama. Daughter in laws are the most abused animals on the planet. I get super ubber mad at the way daughters in laws are treated. I don't live in Korea, but from what i have read about family life, it is a real thing. Obviously not all, but to a varying degree. This series is brilliant. In my top ten.
My gosh got me again. Season 3!!!!! Season 1 super great. Season 2 really good. Did lose some chemistry added cast got in Yoo's way. Don't care, I love Choi Kang Hees performance. In season one loved the slow burn, flirting not flirting, dating not dating, chemistry between Ha and Yoo. Got flustered some with the new cast personalities sucking up leads play time. Anyway, Season 3, sign me up, twice.
Under rated. Great movie. Fl and Ml have big chemistry. Whole cast is on the money. Don't think i'd call it a happy ending. But it is great. Heart felt tear.
Way under rated. I am full on 8.5. 2nd best Thai drama i have seen. Keeping in mind the vast difference between Thailand and k-drama, this show is very good. It presents the Thailand corruption in politics, cops, and wealth. Bee Namthip is amazing. Goy Arachaporn is amazing. Ten Tosatid is amazing. Many of the twists in the storyline are unexpected and unpredictable. The spiral for Kate's last stand in episode 13 is full on mastery of unpredictable.
Awesome, awesome! Outrages comedy drama. Love it. Completely over the top silly. Only Thai movies can make something like this work. Zoe is hillarious and sexy. Thai shows have superb out of the box characters. The movie Jakkalan every charater is nuts, except for a couple, it is the funniest action comedy on the market. Esao UntaraI has great drama, comedy, and weirdest comic relief character from Thailand. This movie grabs some of all that and just when you realize you have been laughing for an hour, boom they drop that heavy drama scene to prove its there, yet it delivers its own comic relief. Watch it like it's a Thai movie and you will appreciate its format. I am giving it an 8.5
Cast is good. Acting is good. Na Na best character. There some side stories that just felt like filler. The last episode main storyline was disappointing. Na Na's demize is far out of charater for her. The flashback filled in a big hole, but here to it felt clunky. It's a good watch. 7.9 seems fair.
Too long. The ending, as in both killers come out on top, not unique. Based around a historic event does add any value. Presention, directing average at best. A rating of 7.4 is .4 to high.
I love this show again. Episode 12 is in the top five of tv episodes I have seen. I cry for half an hour after I'm done. Cha Hee Soo is so sad. From beginning to end she gets tears from me. Desperate for love and a child. But she gives a face of normalcy. Her end in ep 12 is soul crushing. Yang Jin Ha seems to have the world, and then nothing. Happy again and then torn in two with despair. Suffering despair with relief in moments of glee. Gong Ma Ri sexy and alluring. Lee Yo Ri is #4 of my favorite actresses, so I am biased. But it is true. Chaos is her life. The victim of a cheating trash bag of a husband. Fun, funny, angry, spiteful, vindictive, and in the end crushed by the loss of Hee Soo. Yo Ri comes off totally credible delivering the range of emotions. These Witches all have a central sense of emotion, desperation. Each seeking happiness in their circumstances and each falling into a pit of emotional blackness. There are many episodes with funny over the top scenes, much laughing. In the end, the close out scene is tearful and as with most k-dramas, the last minutes of joy and happiness. Seeing these beautiful women smiling and laughing makes me smile. Still crying here, again. Ratings are subjective declarations of approval or disapproval of a show. I declare this a 10. I don't do 10s, I have 4 now.
I finished this show 1 minute ago and ran to the computer to make a comment. Awesome show. Off of main street k-drama, but in a great way. The acting and directing really good. The story is creative and fun. There is plenty of drama. It is a sci-fi, just not in the way you would guess. Quirky to the end. The last episode is waaaay off main street. But it is one of the best closers I've seen. Recommend. 8.5 rating is a better fit than 7.6
Good show. 8.5 is right on for rating. It is thick with emotions, mostly reflective and desperate. Plenty of opportunity for tears. I found it does not have any holes. Flashbacks, side stories all easily connected. The central story never gets lost. Shin Dong Mi (Hyun Jung) is my top pick for characters. She brought out the emotions and sincerity masterfully. Recommend. The ending really is up to you to decide. Is it a k-drama all is great ending? Is it sad? Saw that coming? It is a good ending, however you decide to judge it.
