Title Reborn Rich Spoiler
This is the first drama with SJK in it that I completed. I started Vincenco a while ago but haven't completed…
I agree. I struggled to keep interest first couple episodes. It got into some intelligent writing for several eps. I think the slide into a crash landing started ep 13. Bad enough to make eps I finished seem wasted. Rated a weak 7 for me, partially cause as good as SJK can be, this ain't one he fit. Some good bits but I wouldn't recommend.

Title Lost in Thailand Spoiler
Underrated
Maybe because it is a Chinese point of view. Thailand is presented at a different angle. The writing/production/acting all very good. Comes with a lot of over-the-top goofy comedy, it is supposed to. No romance (not needed here). Thailand is widely recognized as a sexcation destination. Here, is the part because it is Chinese. Is the movie bashing Thailand? Is the movie just showing a part of Thailand that other shows stay away from? In the first half of the movie the sexcation and ladyboy are a theme to some degree. Which is fine. The use is positive, value added, and at times hilarious. So, I am going with the movie is just having fun with the sexcation material. This show is two Chinese fellas that speak no Thai (which ever dialect). One speaks English which carries some of the necessary interactions. Full on tourist, clueless, two Chinese guys in dire straits and desperate. Recommend. I am rating a solid 8.5. Partly because it is fresh and original in content.
On To All the Guys Who Loved Me Feb 10, 2023
Jung Eum is the reason I turned this on. I would watch her read an encyclopedia just to hear and see her talk. Thats about the only really good thing that come out of this. The cast looks good, and some of them have delivered great roles in other shows. I did not get a sense of chemistry at all. I have always said Jung Eum can have chemistry with a rock. Not enough content. One single theme. Lacks any developed side stories. I will declare this as a writer and director fail. Kdrama lives on flash backs to add content and create emotions. Flashback opportunities here have access to hundreds of years. They were just not used. Overall it was worth my time for reason above. It is a average show, bit slow, but probably worth a watch for most kdrama romance fans. I am going to suggest the hate comments are brought on by the show underperforming leaving disappointment all over the place.
On Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy Feb 10, 2023
Bautista brought some drama. I say let him have the romance-comedy he wants. All the ladies really delivered their roles. Yeoh, unsurprisingly, did a great job. It's still amazing to me she hasn't studied martial arts. Tony Jaa is in this just so the producers could use his name. Only has about 5 mins screen time. If you have watched Jaa fight style this is disappointing. He is not allowed to use his popularized style. Cheng delivered a typical stereotype Chinese gangster. Zhang has skill. But I don't think he gets to cut loose. Most of the fight scenes are overpowered with sloppy wire work. During fights when good stunt work would be expected, awkward choreography with wire diminishes the talent of the actors. The story is sort of flat. Ip Man in the title is an attempt to ride the fame of Donnie Yen. As a standalone it has merit. Some good action. Some drama. Very little down time. Recommend for a watch. I only rate this at a 7. Because of the bad wire work and the way it distracts and diminishes fight scenes.

It’s worse when it’s borderline incest. This guy has been raised as a sibling, still treated as a son/sibling…
I don't get why incest is in the forefront of your thinking. I have been on a Hwang binge for days. What thought never crossed my mind? These are not docuseries.

Good show. I have binged Hwang for days. Cast good. Writing good. First 6 episodes so so. Hwang can make chemistry to a rock. Nothing in the first 6 worked for me as chemistry. The few goes with Se Gi felt clumsy. Episode 17 is the height of the show. Super good. The chlidrens owned their roles throughout the show. Massive credibility and chemistry. The development of the relationship of Oh and Cha, from young to the end is intelligent writing, really well thought out. I know, I know. 19-20 closed down personalities. Perry Park and Se Gi done really well. Sad and heartwarming. The rest so so. Overall, a good watch. Recommend. Solid 8 for me.

Title Queen's Classroom Spoiler
Under rated. It is brutal hard to watch. The acting and writing are superb. The rage and the pity hit me in the head dang near every episode. The first episode just opens the door for Ms Ma to earn your hate. The deeper into the show the deeper it gets. All the actors delivered powerful roles. There are many lessons addressing social issues surrounding the setting of elem school level politics. Highly Recommend. Solid 8.5 for me.

I like the show. Seems all the plots and twist are developed. See Ji Hye and Lee Sung Jae can totally carry their scenes. This show would have rated higher for me if I had just waited to binge. Just not getting the cliff hanger connection. So, I am suffering slow roll out repression. Tentative 7.5 rating for now. This series is built fora binge watch. I recommend waiting till it's finished airing and binge.

Many of these girls have done time with BNK48 and AKB48. specials, shows, performance, and concerts. I have watched BNK girls don't cry a couple times. Gonna watch it again just to see how much growth some of them have achieved. After I finish the series. Gdaughter and I both enjoy the fun story line and the life lessons. We also like that it is about the talent laying out the story straight forward and simple. But it does not diminish the major internal moral battle raging in Pang. Ep 4 all in it. Running rating 8. At the moment.
On Monster Feb 1, 2023
Title Monster Spoiler
Underrated. Most of the comments are just wrong. Kim Go Eun is a marvelous actress. She builds huge empathy for Bok Sun. Lee Min Ki gives creep to his role as Tae Soo. This movie is about trama suffered by Bok Sun when her sister, only anchor to a small bit of her normalcy, is ripped from her by a murderous bastard. Bok is not "dim whitted". She is mentally retarded. Difference of about a 1000 miles. Her mental development level hits around 12 yoa. She additionally displays autism. Unable to express expected emotions at times. She gets angry appropriately. Then add Na Ri, who is 10 yoa. The bastard kills Na Ri's sister. She now is without family. Their awkward bonding is tearful. Most of the movie is Bok and Na running from Tae Soo. There is a mash of fighting at the end of the movie. It goes thru various stages, and involves 10 people fighting at different times. The last fight between Bok and Tae is pure desperation. Big part of the back story is cruel and uncaring behavior of all the others in the movie. Tavi driver, cops, property owners... Time and time again cruel people take advantage of Bok. Her naivety and ignorance make her a target for every evil little minion she interacts with. This movie is deep and dark. There are a few moments of just fun. There are some moments of revenge rage. But just a few minutes. This movie pulled many of my triggers. I suffered pure hate for most characters. And shed tears for Bok and Na. The opening and closing are about the only funny. It's the only scenes Bok displays what could be seen as more than just normal fighting. Great movie. Solid 8.5 for me. Recommend.

Title Happy Old Year Spoiler
Get off the couch. This show is under rated. Aokbab is an amazing actress. From what I have been able to watch her in. She can make her characters come alive. The concept of the show is fresh and very deep. It holds the drama close to the chest, but it is there. The interpersonal relations are beautifully done. Many different personalities looking back at one person. This show is equal among peers. The only separation from other drama genres is language. It notably does not suffer the typical Thai lagging production value. Highly Recommend. Rare for me, but I am a solid 8.5 rating.
On Sleepless Society: Nyctophobia Jan 28, 2023
Ok. We all know that moment. Like Jaws when the girl is stripping running to the water. No one says stop striping. But there is that moment. Everyone says it's a shark movie, don't get in the water naked lady. Or Michael Myers is running the streets. That adorable teen goes to answer the door. And the crowd gasp! NO, don't open the door. Episode 11 has that moment. No! That is definitely not a good idea. Too late. All hell breaks loose. Don't get between a wigged-out mom and her son/not son. Last 3 episodes are wow. Episode 13 has a couple curves. I fell all the way into one. The whole series is good. I like the sleepless dramas. Great writing/directing. Great actors and acting. And this one, great psychoness. Ploy is amazing. She owes the black fingernail look. Jason Young really makes Karn a real dude. Totally nailed it. No dings on this series. All thumbs up. Highly Recommend. I rate a solid 8. (Thai production value still lagging some.)

Older ML with younger FML = People in silence. Older FML with younger ML = People commenting about it all the…
Age don't matter if there is good chemistry. IMO, if the age is an issue, the actors and director are not hitting the mark. I kinda agree with the way the prejudice flows. But I am stickin' to my guns. If you are vested in the characters, not the actors, it ain't an issue.
