I have watched this 10 times over 3 years. Awesome choreography. Korean and Thai, my favorite languages in that order. Love it. Pinkaew is a master at action movies and talent development. He gets more out of the stars than most.
The cast is fantastic. Good writing and directing. Much better than I imagined it would be. Wato is ten times better than Watson. I got fully vested in Wato. I bought this on Fandango. $15 worth every penny. Closing scene 10/10. Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi, who was playing “Miss Sherlock” in the series, died on September 27, 2020. I just read this. Twice. It's in MDL profile I just didn't see it. Crying sad, no.
Kim Seo Hyun is the reason i started this. In the scenes where the time is the present, the actors are doing good work. But, the movie is like throwing rubber balls into a room and trying to watch them bounce around. I also think the action in many scenes is rife with stifling, smothering the action with bad camera angles. The plot - dad got killed daughter going to get revenge and then who knows. 6/10 dropped, 40 mins in.
The more I re-watch this the harder the Northern Lights scene becomes. Lee Min Young/Chae Hee Soo is top one or two most compelling characters I have watched. I rate this a 10.6 - I have rewatched 6 times. The mix of campy humor, dark emotions, and pure sadness is perfect. Lee Yoo Ri is my #4 favorite actresses. The range of emotional personality she puts out is as perfect as she was in Come Jang Bo Ri.
**SPOILERS BELOW**If you watched Luo Yunxi in Princess silver and didn't like his tragic ending, And if you want…
Not to be mean. I like your investment in the community. I did not know when I started, just below the comment box is an option to select Spoiler. I have goofy brain, things fall out that can ruin a surprise. I just use spoiler all the time now. Good info you posted.
Different. I like the story. Acting and directing are good. "You can't handle the truth!" Press conference looks like a US presser. Gov't bs thru and thru.
I was low key disappointed that they didn't really do a side romantic plot b/w the leads.
I agree. No romance other than love crazed idol fans. It is funny and smart. Darth Vader, Hannibal Lecter, a bunch of detective persons mockery. It's much more entertaining that i predicted. I like the no romance for this series. Notice the series Light the Night elums.
She has a weird amount of flowers - highest (all time) among all Korean actresses at the time of this comment…
I know weird! In July 2021, I was totally wrecked by Covid. I was thumbing thru Netflix and wound upon My Sassy Girl. Been in the MDL universe since Oct 2021. Yeon Seo is totally to blame. Her shows introduced me to a butt load of other great actress/actors. A bit over 6k episodes later I'm still in deep. I did what a long-range fan could. Liked her on Instagram (both) and Facebook. But this is the only social profile I have kept. So, I just thought it was fair to keep her bumped. Who knows, maybe she or a friend have had a laugh or two on me. Timing is funny. Since the anniversary of July 29th has passed this year, you'll see I stopped my donations.
