If it is a copyright issue, it is most likely they would have to pay restitution and legal fees. I find it strange…
I'm aware of the political landscape. It is also possible the the copyright issue is just a rumor or related to a specific region. There was no official statement made, its basically guessing. In the event it is, Japanese agencies involved would have that right to pursue legal action, as the program has already started airing. Regardless, paying restitution/compensation for copyright infringement would be expected, in addition to any adjustments that might be or might not be requested. Iqiyi International doesn't need bad press or a lawsuit. Iqiyi's is a Chinese company but it's global headquarters in out of Singapore, a larger part of their customer base lives outside of the mainland. Iqiyi has a working relationship with both Japan and S Korea for content development and distribution . It's not going to serve them well to shoot themselves in the foot if it something they can quickly resolve on the inside. Whatever the issue was they most likely just settled it internally and kept quiet to not cause any social media drama.
After ep17 I‘m pretty convinced that ML has some sort of underlying mental illness. Surely in connection to…
He likely has some type of PTSD as his father left, he grew up with his mother who is clearly a nutcase about her son's achievements. It shaped the way he process his self worth, and a fear of abandonment.
The copyright violations were probably over the show's similarity to Rikekoi, a Japanese manga/drama. BTW, really…

I saw someone post the following in the Viki comments: In China the drama is having undisclosed airing issues (rumor is copyright). They released Episode11/12 but pulled it down 2 hrs later and the update has been suspended since the 17th. Hopefully they will continue airing soon.
oh yes thank your for your spoiler I will continue watching it all at once until episode 30I was hold on for a…
Yes, they did break up, but it's still worth watching 21-28. There isn't a bunch of angst or arguing. If anything the ML can be immature and has trouble being understood. They still work together and respect for one another beyond professional as much as the FL tries to keep it that way. They each need more time to resolve personal inner conflicts, so that they can both meet in the same place. It was a step back, but it allows them to grow together.
I can understand your feelings, at the same time doctors are bound to the The Hippocratic Oath (Ορκος) "I…
Yes, I agree. The FL tends to have a habit of putting a lot of her own expectations on the male lead. She doesn't place enough effort in understanding his personal pain and struggles or appreciates his efforts fully when he makes steps forward.
In real life, I can see why someone would push, even if she did so subconsciously. Desperation in the atmosphere. She cares about him, but also his family. She knows life and death is hanging in the balance, and time is running out. All the fellow experts in the field say the ML is their only hope. Plus, she probably has some sense, there might be greater pain and regret if his step mom dies and he did nothing about it. She probably could have been more tactful and understanding, but characters and real people all behave in ways we often wouldn't. AHHH that's what makes dramas interesting, I suppose.

Yes, That is why I said It makes sense why he stepped away from it, his heart was not in the right place, Still he is the only person qualified, so it is understandable why she kept asking, why he wrestled through his feelings to be at a place to do the surgery.
He had every right to refuse. I believe the main intention of the writer in this drama is to show the human side of doctors and the weight of the responsibilities and challenges of their profession, as they attempt to straddle both their personal and professional lives, especially when the two worlds mix.
I have to admit - I didn't like the side plot of the FL pressuring the ML to help his stepmother. It didn't feel…
I can understand your feelings, at the same time doctors are bound to the The Hippocratic Oath (Ορκος) "I WILL maintain the utmost respect for human life; even under threat, I will not use my medical knowledge contrary to the laws of humanity. I MAKE these promises solemnly, freely and upon my honor." I think this is a point that is repeated in the story intentionally. Doctors are not God, they can't decide who lives or dies based on personal feelings. It makes sense why he stepped away from it, his heart was not in the right place, Still he is the only person qualified, so it is understandable why she kept asking, why he wrestled through his feelings to be at a place to do the surgery. All doctors can be faced with this challenge at any moment, they are human beings with personal feelings and experiences, but a doctor who holds true to the oath of the profession will find a way past those internal hurdles, and do their most to preserve life.

Iqiyi is saying nothing??
