u never watched 50 ep dramas before?
I am speaking about the content being filled with extremes, not running time. I lived in the US and near Canada as a kid, my mom use to watch them. The 3 oldest Soaps that are currently on air started back in the 1960-70's making them 50-60 year old. Again my implication is that the story line centers on a family or group of families, there are always people who overreact, there area always secrets and those with evil motives. Novelas are are far more expressive than the US in this area, but they do carry the same general context.

Title True to Love
You actually changed my mind. I cringed when I watched her beg. The only thing I hope Kdrama and Chinese drama…
Yes, it is reality. Koreans drink like fish in the ocean. They do lots of stupid things in the process.
...I have yet to see anyone give a person a piggy back ride while drunk though.
People do get hit by cars a lot while crossing the street, which is also present in Kdramas often.. Many things you see have an element of truth in them.

Just guessing..His mother? or Cousin?. But definitely not a clingy Girl who wants to be his GF bcz she knows about…
I agree she doesn't look like his "mother", more so an adopted sibling or cousin.

Title The Love You Give Me Spoiler
mentally skipping the secondary couples' scenes they feel so superficial and immature
I agree...I've been skipping though the majority of their screen time.
You took the words right out of my mouth One Ajhussi. The 2FL looks like she's on the hunt and starved, suddenly fresh meat appeared before her "drooling" eyes...She is more than ready to sink her teeth in. It feels like the writer is trying to spice it up a little with the 2nd couple, since the first couple is suppose to represent the restoration of a wholesome family.

3FL in this drama is acting like a teen idol fan. She's not an equal replacement for the FL in any fashion, it would be weird for the Dr to consider her as a love interest. The storyline here just feels stalker-ish and uncomfortable.
I just don't see any chemistry that makes either couple realistic.

u never watched 50 ep dramas before?
Weekend dramas usually last 5- 6 months. They are closer to a western "soap opera" or a latin "novela"... In Korea, the main fanbase domestically are elderly grandmas.
There are usually several relationship stories going on at once. Lots of family secrets, over the top evil villains , that cause numerous unreasonable arguments and heartache due to mistrust and misunderstandings. There are several watch worthy weekend dramas out there, I typically wait until at least 60-70% air, they can get draggy and repetitive somewhere in the middle, unless you have a really skilled writer. I am hoping this drama will stay consist, it has potential.

I sorta wish I wait to start it but there isn't much else of interest airing so I jumped in earlier than normal. The previews through 5-10 look cute....daily dose of sugar.

I am angry about the ratings of this show... 7.9 ???
I always start my rating at a 10 and then drop it down. I believe there are many people who start their rating on the low side and raise it. Give it a few weeks, if the drama does well it will increase.
On Here We Meet Again Apr 20, 2023
I hate when there are trailers with no release dates mentioned.... It's always a guess on how soon the actual drama will air.

Title Falling before Fireworks Spoiler
pls someone explain, I don't understand, why they suddenly got married?
The ML adopted grandfather is hovering between life and death, and keeps asking for a missing painting. The FL craves/ longs deep down for a "home", something she lost growing up. ML embodies this feeling for her. She also deals with creepy men and her job, so the security of being married, might help ward off any unwelcomed attention.
The ML is not interested in getting married to her. He questions her priorities when it comes to work/money.
He is desperate. He doesn't have money to pay her the painting, grandpa health becoming less stable, FL uses the painting as leverage by saying it's her dowery if he marries her. He agrees.

Divorce in not less than a day after marriage really? lol. Had to drop it at episode 4, something's off about…
China introduced the law in Jan 2021, which is probably why it was part of the story. The entertainment industry often makes public service announcements for the government.

The couple in the drama end up staying together, so their application was withdrawn. They remained married.

In china there is a 30 day cooling off period when a couple seeks to end their relationship. The 30 days start the day they file, the couple has to return to complete it. If they don't the application is withdrawn, the marriage continues as always.

Overall this drama was enjoyable but the last few episodes felt like a different direction from the start.
It also seems like several scenes were cut, the editing was a bit choppy with abrupt transitions, I wonder if the story was meant to be longer than 23 episodes.
On A Romance of the Little Forest Apr 12, 2023
I enjoyed the lead couples story, outside of the the FL response to the ML once he went abroad. Typical c-drama drama -cliche - unreasonable & immature communication that's dragged out beyond reason
I also skipped most of the second couple storyline - I can't imagine a guy putting on such an act and not being left in the past. The first couples story had enough content, the second couple could have been limited or eliminated.

I don't understand why he's mad at her. I guess it will be something they explain later on but they were best…
She doesn't recognize him. She was his safe place, his joy in the mist of a father that left and an over powering mom. He was left with an impression on the last day at school that she replaced him. That's painful, diminished his already fragile self-worth and trust. This feeling is further encouraged since she doesn't recognize him but he knows who she is.
