Hello to all. I’m presently trying to catch up on all the 2022 series I have not yet watched but feel I should. Hence I started watching My School Président on YouTube as recommended, only to realise halfway through the second episode that I was watching the Our Skyy 2-episode version. I finished that all the same and then went looking for the full 12-episode version, which I couldn’t find in full on YouTube (except for the first episode… the rest just seemed to be short extracts from each episode…). On top of this, YouTube seems to have changed its presentation and I am at a loss to understand how the different series are classed and positioned in their file.

Anyway, my question is: now that I have watched the Our Skyy 2 version, is there any point or interest in watching the full 12-episode version? I have understood that they are using the notion of multiverse between these different versions, but it seems to me that this is not much more than a gimmick (to justify different versions…?) rather than an essential element of plot or concept. I should be grateful for any input or opinions on this. If the general view is positive, then it seems I can watch the series on Viki or, if all else fails, Dramacool, which certainly has it. Many thanks in advance for any responses.

oh well yes, obviously. Some are born to act and others will never get there however much work they put into it. I must admit I am quite enjoying Enchanté at moment (needed something lighter after the drama of Not Me) and the acting, which is not Meryl Streep level of course, is not bothering me very much at all. The main thing that is jarring me at the moment, given that French is my second fluent language, is the pronunciation of French words and phrases (and even that is better than what I heard in Baker Boys.....).
But anyway, actors can improve, and I have to say that I have been bowled over by the improvement seen in Off Jumpol especially after watching Not Me. I feel you can hardly recognise him, even in comparison to TOL.

Win the actor or Win in his role in the series ? OK, I don't think I noticed that so much if you mean Win the actor, but then again I don't watch many fan activities or off-screen exchanges. I suppose Win, or rather Tine in the series, would have flinched quite a bit at different moments, either at the beginning when Sarawat was flirting or cruising him (i.e. he wasn't ready yet for the attention...), or in the final few episodes after the incident with Sarawat's former girlfriend (when he felt abandoned and that he couldn't trust Sarawat any more)...
Otherwise, yes, Still 2gether went a fair way to rectifying the impression and the "bad vibes" from the end of 2gether, but neither will unfortunately remain in my mind as one of the great producations of Thai BL.

@Tandem28 thanks for your reply. Yes, I had heard this explanation before. Do we know if this idea about the filming sequence has ever been confirmed? It could be one explanation, but I doubt it could be the whole explanation, given that the actors often go through workshops beforehand to put them more at ease in this respect. Unless, of course, this did not happen in this case.....

Ah, now this is an interesting point. I have been thinking of the 2gether debacle these last few days.... so you are suggesting that things went downhil from episode 11 onwards because this was when things were supposed to be getting more intense and BrightWin (or at least Bright, imho...) were not comfortable with that or simply not up to the demands of the intensification of the relationship...? I've been wondering if anyone had come up with a definitive explanation for what happened...

I wholeheartedly agree with all you write here, but would just make two little comments:

1) It's not that a recurrent trope has no sense any longer. If you drive a car, you see hundreds of red lights every day and you immediately know what they mean and what to do. They still always mean the same thing and still have the same sense, it's just that you react without even thinking about it. As you say elsewhere, it's an easy and convenient method of conveying sense but you don't even really think about it.....

This is for me the big difference between the traditional pulp BL's, on the one hand (such an abundance of tropes, you don't even need to think about what's happening, the "red light" is used as a guaranteed trigger, and you just melt into fluffy heaven..... which is possibly appropriate for its traditional juvenile target...), and, on the other hand, the more modern, imaginative, and thought-provoking series that are becoming more common: ATOTS, as you say, where the acting was very good; and also IPYTM, which I know sent the doctrinal BL fans (and inherently juvenile female audience) into mad rages about that smooching with Jai ("how dare they ruin my BL series", was the common cry), but which was particularly thought-provoking in the various issues it thew up about a young couple and their reactions to changes in their world (the mad rages and the debate are evidence enough, surely....).

2) On a funnier note, has the fact of falling over and inadvertently shoving a dildo up another guy's arse actually become a trope ? If so, please let me know the other series in which it appears.......I can't wait..... haha.

Btw, I sincerely hope you sort out your issues with "bottles" as soon as possible..... lol.

haha, well everyone (at least those above) was saying it was a bottle, and I was beginning to wonder if I had dreamed it all..... And even more funnily, I didn't begin to find that scene at all bizarre until I noticed some people were saying it was a bottle...

And as much as that scene was totally unrealistic and improbable (and there I heartily concord with what @jpny01 was saying on the subject), seeing Tae standing in the school corridor, waving a dildo in the air, and shouting that Shin must have dropped it...... was an absolute scream.!!! Nothing like that ever happened in my school, I can tell you .....

Oh, and thanks to everyone who enlightened me about Sex Ed in Korean schools.
