I think your taking it out of context it’s not showing that she’s fat and abusive it’s exaggeration and the fat girl is not ugly at all. the only reason his imagination ran wild is because Butchers are stereotyped as strong, rough, maybe big-bodied because the job involves chopping meat, lifting carcasses.So his brain starts imagining an exaggerated version of what a butcher’s wife might look like, it’s more like the FL job is being stereotyped against instead.I think the stereotype in that scene is more about the job than about fat people. Gongsun Yin assumes that because she’s a butcher she must be big, rough, and aggressive. That’s his stereotype about butchers, not a statement about chubby women in general.
