Still watching of course. This is such a great drama! But the page has become toxic for me. So I rarely visit this. Disliking a drama is ok but going back to this page every now and then just expressing your hate is something I cant understand. Just drop the drama dont make a big deal out of it.

Yes it can mean different things. I think MM would choose that. If they haven't met the contract wont happen? But does it mean TDK wont die anymore because of her cancer? Some are saying there’s a connection when they are both in the funeral hall. So nice to have a conversation about the possible outcomes.

Thanks. I just scroll past the negative ones.:) But I look into the constructive criticisms. I like how people really look into the drama and say why it didn’t work for them. Thats good because future viewers will get an idea whether to watch the drama or not. Sad that there are people complaining about this drama without even understanding it. Well we have different preferences and way of looking at things, so lets just leave it at that. I hope you’ll enjoy the drama as much as I did cause I really learned a lot from this drama.

It was PBY and SIG who said that their dialogues are philosophical and not your casual conversation type of dialogue. I think they said it in their VIU interview. They had a hard time with the dialogues because if they say it differently the meaning might change. I also watched Run On. Yeah that drama has some interesting and slice-of-life dialogues but it’s very different here. In Run On, the dialogues are touching but here it’s thought provoking. What does he/she mean by that? Why does he/she keep on saying that? The deity has the most philosophical and thought provoking lines that sometimes makes you think , does that even make sense? That’s what I love about this drama. It doesn’t give us straight answers. Everything that was said before will make sense in the next episodes.

Episode 10 just answered your question regarding TDK. She loves him and was sorry for it. Remember the stipulation of the contract? TDK must wish for the earth to disappear or be destroyed. In return MM will make her last 100 days pain-free. On top of that she can make a wish that she truly likes. If she doesn't fulfill her part of the contract which is to wish doom on earth before she dies, the person she loves she most at that time will die. With only 50 days left to live, she has finally admitted that she loves MM. From this perspective how should she act? She finally gave up and cried her heart out on ep10 to MM. For the longest time she hasn’t cried since she lost her parents. MM broke her wall. What is killing MM? The fact that he’s doom, he hates his existence but TDK came to his life and changed his perception. I respect your opinion. But try to look at it from the characters’ perspective and not based on your view. It’s not a pull and push kdrama cliché. TDK is not your typical kdrama heroine, She just accepts whatever life gives her. She’s strong in her own way. She loves her aunt, brother and best friend. She’s good at her work. Basically an ordinary person yet complex in some ways. She doesn’t acknowledge her true feelings. She sets it aside because she’s scared to face reality. When she met the person well being (since MM is not a person) who makes her want to really live, she’s about to die. If she continues to love him, she’s either gonna wish doom on earth which kills everyone she loves including MM. Or she stops loving him, her brother, aunt and BF and just quietly die without wishing for doom on earth. Either way she’ll die. So MM is doing his best to save her. The story hasn’t revealed yet on how he’s gonna do that. All we know is that he’s gonna die for her. But he must be human to die first. This is the conflict of the
characters. That’s why if you look at it from a surface level, it seems they’re in a push and pull relationship. It’s really sad if you look at it deeply. But somehow this drama has moments where it’ll make you think that it’s not all about bad things that are happening to us but there also good things.

This is fantasy, melodrama with a bit of comedic elements.

People who are disliking this drama (which is ok cause all of us have different preferences) are viewing this from what they usually know/see in kdramas. I’ve said this before, this is not a kdrama for everyone. This was written not based on “what usually works” in kdramas but for the writer to express a story in an unconventional way. It’s philosophical in nature. Sometimes what their saying doesn’t make sense but as the story progresses, they will reveal the meaning of what the characters’ actions/words before. This is not a romcom. Far from it. Watch this with an open mind - no expectations. What are your thoughts on what might happen to them? Both of them are willing to die for the other. What if they both die then meet for a second time? Some say this has happened before. Meaning their memories have already been reset. Urgh this drama has brought back my love for kdramas.

Watch it with an open mind and no expectations. It’s better if you dont read the comments for you not to have biases. By the way I love this drama, it unconventional thats why there are people disliking it. It’s okay. At the end of the day, you still get to decide to watch it or not.

Yeah. They can just simply drop this instead of going here (still watching the drama by the way) and complaining about the story, even the actors or anything can they think of. Honestly I tried to check the discussions for this drama, this is one of those dramas with so many comments. We have 6 more eps to go and yet this drama has already 4k plus comments. Goblin has around 5k plus.

Same here. We knew from the start well when the stipulations of the contract were revealed MM will be the one that TDK will love the most. But he’s not yet human. As youve said he tried to himself many times and failed. So here’s what I was thinking, MM is trying to be human. How? Remember the Pinocchio book when the deity told him he can be human if he becomes good. How can he do that? He has started using doom to bring happiness to people. Remember the school scene? Every time Doom will say he will save TDK and he’s in the process of doing that. So as sadly as it sounds I think MM’s plan was to become human so he would die in place of TDK. But TDK has one more wish. However tao think she’s gonna use it for her aunt who’s apparently sick (based on ep11 preview). Maybe that’s where she uses her wish. Or maybe she wishes for Doom to be human so they can die together. Remember MM said I want to be alive so I can die with you. But the plot twist is when the deity offered to help them by erasing each other from their destinies. What if this was not the first time this has happened? Maybe they have met before and tried saving each other. Cant wait for next week. Heartbreaking for sure but were also anxious to know what will happen to our recharge couple?

It’s not a drama for everyone. It’s philosophical and thought provoking. If you’re into those romcoms, fast-paced, crime, mystery, society, adultery, dramas (which is a trend in kdramas) I doubt you’re gonna enjoy this. There’s a lot of ongoing dramas that you can choose from. I’m sure you’ll be able to find a drama that will suit your interest.

I say watch it with an open mind with no expectations. Give it a try until 4 eps like what Let it go suggested. If you dont like it, you can easily drop the drama.

I’m curious to know as to why the writing was messed up? Were the characters poorly developed? Should they have acted differently? Did you watch this and saw SIG the actor and not MM?

I hope they will just leave their constructive comments and drop the drama. No need to comment every week if they’re just gonna say the same thing. So far 4k comments on this drama and we have 6 more episodes to go.

He said before that he cannot die. He tried it many times. Remember the gun scene? Because his Doom thats why he cant die(yet). Remember the Pinocchio book when he and the deity are talking. That he needs to be a good boy to be human. I think he needs to be human first so he can die for TDK. Thats why when he said he’s in the process of saving her, he’s trying to be good being. When he becomes human then he can finally die for
TDK. If this happens it’s gonna be so sad. I thought before what if they can only meet through dreams? :(

There are theories that they have known each other before. Ive seen a similar drama not a fantasy one (well theres time travel so I guess it’s bit fantasy) where the ML tries to change their destiny. But MM and TDK’s destiny is a bit more complicated. They are both flawed in their own ways which can be attributed to their views in life. Both of them thinks fate is cruel.
