Did you watch the drama? If yes, I was expecting you would have dropped it by now since it’s just the actors who “saved” the drama. There are so many dramas out there that I’m sure will be more interesting for you.

Just curious as to how the high TV ranking shows helped the actors in those dramas? Have they gained huge following and recognition after the high ranking shows they were in? Have they gotten more offers? I’m not hating those drama, just want to know what’s really in it for the actors/staff who were part of such high ranking dramas? Ive seen some of them getting awards which is good. Rankings are important but they also have to consider that not all viewers watch TV. I for one rarely watch cable channels. I usually watch on online streaming services. Cdramas are ranked not just on TV but on other platforms as well. This way the production staff of the drama can get a better picture as to how the drama performed. Just my two cents on this rankings issue.
I see a lot of negative comments here in the comments section about how this drama is turning out. Whether it’s…
Thank you for this comment. Very insightful and yes unbiased. I tried to check other dramas’ discussion page, DAYS has 4k plus comments and we have 6 more episodes. The fact that people are discussing this drama means something. Regardless if it was good or bad (as we cant expect everyone to like a drama), this drama has certainly got people’s attention. For me that’s good. We have a drama that has everyone talking, reacting and basically sharing their thoughts. Be it good or bad. I agree that this drama is not for everyone. You have to be patient with this drama. I like how it gives subtle hints every now and then. You have to have an open mind when you watch this drama, no expectations. I initially watched this because of PBY. But the 1st ep already piqued my interest. Yes it can be confusing at first but I like how they reveal it later on. This has been my Mon-Tues guilty pleasure. I dont know how will I be able to move on from this once it ends. After ep10, I can feel an open or sad ending.
This show is really putting me in a tough spot... I myself can't decide whether I like it or not... At first the…
Even though we have a different take on this drama, I find your comment constructive. I find it interesting when us viewers start to really look into the drama. With so many hype on dramas and actors, we forgot what really made us love kdramas. I remember, before I wont drop any kdramas. I would patiently wait for it to get interesting. But after having seen a lot (I lost count, I also watch cdramas and twdramas) I lost that patience. Nowadays, when I watch a kdrama or any drama and find it not interesting enough even on ep1 I will put it on hold or just drop it. I dont follow the hype dramas. As long as it got my interest, I’m gonna watch it. Regardless of its ratings or genre. From time to time I would check it out because of the actors. This drama brought back my interest and patience with kdramas. I hope you’ll enjoy the next eps. If not there a lot of dramas that might pique your interest.
i liked this drama back in 2018 but now that i watch it again i just feel uncomfortable with the age gap. they…
This was my biggest problem with this drama. I wished FL was older and not a high school student. Thats why I didn’t enjoy it that much because the age gap kept bothering me. Esp those intimate moments.
Ep 9 made me realize how ill fated their love is. But ep10 really broke me. When they finally started admitting their feelings, fate reminds them of what’s ahead of them. I can understand TDK’s perspective and why she did that. If you only got 100 days to live, you wont know how to handle it. Like what she was doing her whole life - try to shrug it off and go with the flow. Just accept it. From the time her parents died, her view in life has been pessimistic. She has been avoiding facing the reality for a long time which many of us have done or still doing. When she met Doom who challenged her in a different way, her life changed. Many might see this as slow paced but it was just the right pace for me. The writer needs to establish the characters first then show how they progress. Ep10 just showed us the drastic change in characters. It’s not drastic in a sense that it happened so fast, it’s drastic because of how deep the change was.
This is not a drama for everyone. It’ s not written based on “what works in kdramas”. First the philosophical dialogues - many would get tired of this. A love triangle for second leads? This is new. No love triangle for the main couple. You’re not guaranteed to get a happy ending. The characters’ actions are not based on we usually see in kdramas. Like when TDK asked MM to live with her one 2nd ep; that’s not how it goes in kdramas. I like how the writer didn’t go the usual sad, fantasy route. You should have an open mind when you watch this. No expectations - just because PBY and SIG are in this drama, you expect it to be good. No, that wont work. The hype? No. Disregard all of those. You wont appreciate the drama if you only see SIG and PBY. You have to see it from MM and TDK’s point of views to truly appreciate this drama.
If you want something fast- paced, this is not a drama for you. If you want all that lovey dovey romcoms with fantasy element, this is not for you. Yes there are a number of heart fluttering scenes in this drama but it’s important to show the development of characters. If you love Goblin, this is different from Goblin. As I have mentioned when you watch this drama, have an open mind with no expectations, That’s why people who have watched several dramas especially the new kdrams are not liking this one. Yeah it will keep you on the edge of your seat not because of the suspense kind of feeling which many kdramas have been showing lately but how they end each episode. It leaves you hanging with more questions. So dont watch this just because of the actors (although their chemistry is amazing here and their acting was great) or the hype. Watch this for the story. As PBY and SIG mentioned in one their BTS, they had problems with their dialogues. It was philosophical so it wasn’t easy to deliver those lines. Their acting should match the dialogues as well. But they nailed it. They are so good in here. I understand why PBY chose this project, it showed her versatility as an actress. She made us laugh, sad and yes cry. She made us forget PBY and just see her as TDK. Same for SIG, I’ve only seen him in Shopaholic Louis. It was a nice drama. But nothing memorable about it. I haven't seen his drama The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, which many says showed his real talent as an actor. I was impressed with his acting here. Though the ratings are low locally (South Korea), I’m sure they have gained worldwide popularity and recognition.
Lastly I like how each of us have tried coming up with theories on what will happen to them. It’s one of the charms of this drama. It’s unpredictable. Which many of us (esp us long time kdrama viewers) have forgotten because of so many plots we have seen, it’s rare for us to get excited anymore. Yeah we would like a drama every now and then but rarely would really challenge us to explore more. TKEM was almost there but I admit (I’m a LMH fan for a long time and Ive seen most of his works) the lack of chemistry (finally admitting it to myself, please dont hate me on this, just my personal opinion) and too complex of a storyline got many viewers tired of it. It was different for DAYS, first the chemistry was already great so the story came out perfectly.
For those contemplating if they watch this or not, I would say go for it. Don’t be distracted by the hype, comments, well it’s hard not to be distracted by the actors as all of them are very good looking to say the least. If after two or three episodes and you still haven't felt connected or simply interested by it, just drop the drama and find the one that will suit your interest.
With the break up part that is really common in a lot of chinese dramas LOL
Kdramas have also a lot of breakup scenes. Breakup scene is one of the mosf common drama cliché. But breakup in DAYS is different from cdramas. Why? - the reason for breakup (very clear reason for breakup unlike in cdramas where they just put a breakup scene to make the story more dramatic) no third party, no overacting FL, no angry ML and how both of them handled it.
So I almost didn’t watch ep 10 because some of the comments, but I’m glad I did. This is deep stuff, she’s…
Glad that you decided to stay and watch till ep10. Ep10 is a very important episode. It’s the culmination of what was built in previous eps. This is a great drama. Sad that many dont see it but it’s just a matter of preference. I started this because of PBY but stayed because of story, their chemistry and OSTs.
I don’t about others but for me Jina should be end up alone. I mean she deserves to be a independent woman in…
Agree with you. The two guys will just cause her future problems. It’s about time she focuses on herself. Like change her pen name for starters and not be affected by these two guys.
I think 10 eps 45 minutes each with only their story and nothing else and to add lee soo hyuk to the main story…
Yes this is the only drama that brought back my love for kdramas. Been on a slump lately. Yup it was on a wrong time slot. I respect the opinion of others regarding this drama and actors. But it’s different for me. It’s an excellent drama with several layers into it. I understand why PBY and SIG chose this project. This is not a drama for everyone. You have to be patient with this drama. I mentioned in another comment before that the writer of this drama didn’t go for “what usually works” in kdramas instead wrote what she really wanted. This drama is very applicable during this time. When we can only see are misfortunes - it tells you that there’s another side to it. Though we were shown darkness (MM) in the drama, the writer hopes that we can also see the light at the end.
I thought she was going to break up with him in Episode 9🥴🥴🥴🥴
Maybe it will be included in ep10. Now they are mixing things up so we wouldn’t know what would happen next. As if we have predicted the other episodes even with the previews. 7 more eps to go.

Of course they would but ratings is just one measurement for a drama’s success. At the end of the day, if the producer gained profit which I think they did and the actors/staff got the recognition you can still consider it a success. Not all low rating dramas in South Korea can be considered a failure. There are dramas that were not successful locally (South Korea) but gained international success. This was the case for Doom. When a drama gains international success, the actors would be recognized thus more offers would be given to them.
