Thank you for taking the time to reply. I definitely agree with you. Had they done that, the twist would have probably left a slightly different impression on me.

My biggest problem with the plot twist is that the FL's mother lacked depth. She was a psycho who did what she did because she was a psycho. Period. I mean, people like that exist in real life, but it becomes troublesome when the plot escalation and the mystery of a drama are based on such a character. Discovering the truth made everything feel pointless at the end. All the questions I'd been asking myself in the past episodes suddenly had no importance. The ending should have been a grand finale, but it ended up being very anticlimatic.
I TOTALLY agree on IOTNBO. The gothic concept was fascinating and the way it was presented -- with the animations, the credits, the music, the dark fairy tales -- was very nice. The story of Zombie Kid is truly touching and it makes you stop and think; honestly, I'd buy that book. I also loved Sang Tae's character; he made me cry so many times. But... my love for this series ends there. As you said, the development of the love story could have been handled better, the classic k-drama tropes made it look very cheap in the second half and the final twist just ruined everything. Also, I didn't find any of the side characters likeable and that really killed it for me.
I hope Akaso will also be given new roles soon. According to some articles, he is one of the actors who are expected…
Yes, I've just read that he reassured his fans by saying that he is very busy at the moment and he is already working on something. He didn't give much information about his activities, but he seems not to be worried, so I guess there's no need for us to get anxious :)
At the KKTV Annual Japanese Drama Awards in Taiwan, Cherry Magic got: #1 for Most Popular Drama; #1 for Best Adapted Screenplay; #1 for Best Supporting Male Actor (Machida Keita); #2 for Best Drama of the Year; #3 for Best Director (Kazama Hiroki).

I can already picture Machida as the bartender. His soothing, warm voice and his gentle manners definitely suit his character and the healing vibe of the story ^^

You are right. I guess I'm feeling anxious just because I don't want this chance to slip away and his hard work to be in vain. But as you said, it's not a competition and he should choose his roles carefully. Plus, it's not like people will forget about him that fast either.
I remember him saying that he'd like to star in an action movie. Let's see if he will get the chance ^^
Keita, koudai, yutaro and ryo getting a new role and drama meanwhile eiji also doing some modelling , magazine…

I think he said that he joined the group because he wanted to become an actor and not an idol. So no wonder he…
Yesterday I read an interview where Machida said that the injury was only part of the reason why he decided to focus on acting. Apparently he already felt that being in a boy band wasn't for him. He liked dancing for fun; doing it as a job was completely different. So the injury kind of forced him to make a decision that might have already been in his heart. Edit: BTW, what's important is that he is happy with what he is doing. Deep down I'm glad he pursued an acting career, otherwise today we wouldn't have our Kurosawa, nor would we know about his incredible facial expressiveness ^^
Seeing that CM is getting the recognition it deserves makes me really happy ^^

Amazing review. I already loved the mini-series; I'll definitely watch the Director's Cut version, too.
