Ok I got to learn about the world and esp Korea in 1970s and the influences today.
The only reason why this could be remotely interesting to me is to see who is thinking what they can get away with. I am curious bc there is a whole organized network for stealing homes, esp. condominiums and HOA homes, in the USA, some states like Hawaii and Georgia a lot worse than others, Georgia at least has lots of action on it and Hawaii is hush hushing it big time.... and lawyers, judges, and insurance steal homes under the pretense of law. Internal terrorism, if you will, bc your property gets stolen under false accusations and nobody enforces the law, it is like being in an inquisition trial, you and your property are NOT safe and USA is supposed to be a constitutional country. Well it is NOT. . Epidemics of rigged non-judicial and judicial foreclosures. It really reminds me of this drama meth issue. Accidentally, stealing homes seems to be related to laundering money too, as they send monthly condo dues to far away banks and then back. I have written evidence for all this
This is a rude question, but I must know. I correctly saw that ML is a real athlete, that is clear from the way he moves. That is refreshing, to see an actor who can act well and is a real athlete too, not just a gym rat "for the show".
Imo he is also refreshing bc imo he looks like a real person, not like a plastic flower boy. But I do not know anything about plastic surgery... So.. I must ask... i I am correct that I am not seeing a plastified face.

Interesting. I just checked out movie Pretty Crazy. I saw the FL aka this actress in question in King the Land and in Bon Apettig your Majesty and she acted THE SAME in both - exact same facial expressions and body language..... It was OK in Bon Apettit bc it fit the ML acting style and the two of them did some great comedy together. She has a talent for finding comedic moments. But ... the point is, she acts the same every time.... And she acts that SAME as the Daytime FL in this movie too. The only difference is acting crazy at night. She did that part fine, but anyone can act that... acting crazy is easy.... and .. even some of those demon faces are repeats of her SAME "angry look" from all other dramas. So ... why did she get the award... ? bc her dramas brought in a lot of money and had lots of viewers? The Dad - that famous actor - should get an award for his role, he is great... ML in this movie is great and should get an award. Btw he is incredibly handsome! Doesnt look like a "plastic flower boy" but like a real person, he even has wrinkles from frowining, and a genuine healthy athlete, not just a couch potato lifting weights. So refreshing - but am I correct that this is not (at least not big) plastic job?
This series is so interesting. I just dropped in to check what the hype is, so these are observations from a total outsider. This is what strikes me:
the young ML taxi driver does not seem to be a plastic "flower boy", which is unusual, and honstly super refreshing. He seems to have a face that is real, including wrinkles between his eyebrows, from frowning, and floppy ears. But he is super handsome, even more so than the flower boys, bc his face seems more real, like someone living next door. He also has very long and straight legs, which is atypical. I see lots of O shaped legs and rather short. Most importantly, that actor has some acting skillZ so he really pulls the audience into the character he is acting. Too many "flower boys" seem to be models who have no clue about acting.
Then, I realized that the anxt and suspense is created by "creepy" music. The scenes themselves are nothing special.
The plot etc is ... ok but ... seems nothing majorly special. I think it is subjective investment of the audience that makes the show so interesting to its fans. The cases are interesting, the crime is "unique" unusual for dramas but relevant in real life, so I think that is the big draw of this drama.
These are just some quick observations of someone who "dropped from the sky" or the first time ever into this series and straight into episode 12 as "the best" episode :)

I noticed a heavy pattern in so many kdramas these days to advertise christianity and put down all other religions, esp Buddhism. For example, drama Cashero had the good guys operating under the Christian church agenda and the bad guys going to a Buddhist temple. So many other kdramas these days have churches and christianity as an underlying "good guys". For example, Tempest, etc even Love.exe had ML wearing tank tops with Christian slogans and a necklace with a cross.
So putting something that looks exactly like Nazi swastika on a Buddhist temple and irritating Christian audience, who are typically culturally clueless and associate swastika ONLY with Nazis, is ... just a rotten ploy to put down Buddhism yet again.
Glitches: Native Americans also use that swastika-like symbol, but theirs is "reversed". Often, swastikas and these other sacred symbols are not the same, i.e. the "wheel" rotates in the opposite direction.
Learning that one of the famous actors is married to a chaebol led me to look up that chaebol family and I found them tied to super conservative christians. internationally
Assuming that the actor is not supporting Japanese imperialism, fighting on the same side with Nazis in WW2, occupying…

And here these 10 gems did not get enough attention. Track #1 is a masterpiece, #2 is acted badly, #6 is scripted badly, and all the rest are total and complete GEMS, so good.
I want to see a higher rating for this. And these stories should go to some short film festival. These Love Tracks showcase the best of what kdrama has to offer. Such fine artistry.
