At least this drama is some improvement on the old ones, the sexism is lessening as EH is at least very competent professionally and as a family member, and she is self reflective and speaks up her mind, and ML is also made to be more considerate and complex and not 100% superman with no flaws like in the past dramas, so overall, it is somewhat better than it used to be, so that is good. Overall, this drama imo is very good, on its own. It is a very realistic portrayal of real life as it is today..
When you take it in the context of all asian dramas, where all of them create plot on the dumbness of FL and a capable ML saving her, then the big pattern shows extreme undervaluing of women.
In the drama world, that leads to very shallow and boring plot with very shallow and boring FL roles and super shallow and boring acting... i.e. female actresses are underutilized and boring to watch and the plot is too predictable cliche and too boring
the SOCIETY and also the dramaworld have a LONG way to go to overcome the inherent deep sexism and treating women as brainless incapable creatures, as if women are little naive children. Even if a woman is active in her actions and a villain, like in Graceful Liar, she is still a dumbo who gets saved by a guy. And only bc he wants to fuc@ her, to be blunt, his only reason is bc he "loves" her.
Western media is even worse, bc sexism is more camouflaged, under supposed "freedom" in promiscuity, looking like a Barbie doll with makeup and pushup bra, and being ... dumb. I have up on them long time ago. Nothing meaningful to see there. Kdramas at least are meaningful and show some deep issues with a certain warmth and positive solutions.

Since he is kicking, they are entering into a dark phase, but they should be a super fun pair bc she is so fun and he has a knack for going with it And YR-youngestBrother are a great pair too, and super fun. What YR's mom did to her - "you have no talent and cannot paint" is a spiritual murder.... The couple is going to enter into "physical murder" zone when Director Ko gets a whiff of them....
I didnt get that idea. Someone wrote they didnt like it and you said you wont watch it. To me, that means you are basing your decision on the opinion of one or two people who replied to you here. As an art lover, I am totally dumbfounded.
Watching ep 27 - Director Ko gets an Oscar for her DNA center performance... ! wow!!!! and then "I miss you although you are right in front of me... I just cannot get enough of looking at you...." cheesy comeon dates!!!! I am not sure how you can make this decision based on one answer from someone here??? Why dont you watch at least one episode? Personally, I think this is a fantastic drama and i LOVE watching it, and I find the ML FL super interesting, they are a very realistic couple. And the two side couples are very fun to watch too. I think it is a great inter-generational, family drama, with the emphasis on young people figuring it out and parents and children reconciling, and there is even elderly. I think it is a VERY interesting lovely educational deep and useful drama.

It is really interesting to see what is easy for an actor to act and where it is obvious they are faking it, they cannot relate to the experience. ML is super good in charming his love :) He is better than the best hunter out there :)

So I suggest you read the comments in tht drama and also watch an episode to see.. It is a drama from real life - a patriarchal family with a rotten spoiled insecure dad and a doormat mom and son who has to caw too.... and the dad is the same abusive dude at home and work and eventually messed up so much that he loses job and .... everyone has to grow. A very old and cheesy and seemingly simple story, BUT with excellent acting and tight script, and great filiming, it is really a riveting story, IN MY OPINION. The issues - will the wife ACT on her full knowing that she created a spoiled brat out of her husband and gave up her dreams... will the son ACT on his own heart and opportunities or cave in to his dad... how will the dad take failing at work, being fired, being betrayed, living his whole life for that darn company and giving up his own dreams for it, to feed his family and "look good"
This is a story that will send any teenager, housewife, and sole bread winner, or middle age worker, or laid off worker into frenzy, it really pushes buttons...
I think it is masterfully done piece SO FAR where the issues are presented. I want to know how the issues will be SOLVED and then I can tell you if I like it or not.

Wow I was totally lost it was so FAST - fast and short dialogue, fast subs, lots of assumptions that the audience knows about ... maternal cousins and same last names etc etc ... I was LOST ... until someone explained the "tree" of characters to me.... and how maternal cousins do not have same last names (I still do not get that, will do some research but at least I registered that Lee boys are just cousins ) etc
epi 1 was good … but the mystery behind her fake dying i really want to know 🤌 …
