Some bits - Crown Princess was supposed to take poison but she chose to "commit suicide by drowning" i.e. she escaped (but she lost her memory) and is now hiding as a peddler
And seems like she was supposed to die so that Left Minister's daughter will become crown princess so that LM can get to be de-facto King. Which he already is - he essentially keeps the King jailed.

ok if you know what's better, why dont you write a script for another drama. Good luck.

sorry to hear that. imo kdramas are the best -creative, positive, humorous, thoughtful, sophisticated, light yet straightforward about heavy things, WARM, and uplifting.

THis is like saying all humans are the same - and we are, we all have blood and skin etc So how the heck are we all unique and different then???
I would understand if you complained if this drama was some total rehash of another drama, BUT IT IS NOT.

In this drama, the plot is unique characters are unique execution is unique... so... what's your problem?
Ultimately all plots are fight between good and evil, politics and romance
Amnesia, poison, etc are gonna be in so many cases....
But each case is unique bc of DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES AND CHARACTERS
and then on top of it, different actors..

Would someone explain the plot?
This is what I understand: There is King, kinda jailed up under Left Minister, and Queen Dowager, and two princes. JW who just came back is the legitimat FIRSTBORN of the King, and then there is the current Crown Prince, who is our ML and who lost his Crown Princess - and found her LOL.
So, Queen Dowager said in Ep 1 min 39 that she ordered murder by poison of JW's mother and ordered that JW get taken down as Crown Prince. So King's wife aka Queen died. And Queen Dowager cannot put JW on the throne bc then you get a Bon Apettit YOur Majesty king full of revenge...

So Crown Prince aka ML aka ml from Potato Lab, had Crown Princess and lived happily UNTIL I think .... Left Minister? ordered her poisoning and she played committing suicide by drowning and resurfaced as an amnesied peddler. Then Left Minister forced the Crown Prince to marry his daughter. So that is going to happen now. Marriage talks are in the process.

LM is already ruling from the shadows and kinda keeps the King jailed. Crown Prince is needed alive as a mating bull to produce some male kids and then he can be traashed. He has been trying to commit suicide but they keep him alive until he reproduces.

I am not sure if JW DudeOnTHeTree is full or half brother to Crown Prince. JW was gone for a month, hiding, just came back. Was he gone trying not to get killed? or just bc he stole the clock... ? i doubt that.. But in any case, he seems friends with the Crown Prince - but is that real or not? ... does he want the throne or not?? His name is in the talks as the next Crown Prince and King... But Queen Dowager and LM are not gonna support him bc they want the current Crown Prince on the throne - why? LM bc he can marry his own daughter to him. Queen Dowager motives are...? But, JW *could* have his own supporters and trying to get on - just like in Bon Appetit YOur Majesty...

This drama is too hodge podge dramatic for me and the subs are waaaaay too fast.... and I cannot follow what is happening now and what happened before. If someone would explain, I would appreciate.

imo drama is worth watching for FL who is really fun to watch bc she is so spunky action-taker independent

that will be unavoidable, especially with 12 episode dramas... so .. producer has to figure out how long to wait before the audience forgets...

FYI Those who watched Pump Up Healthy Love quote its ML and say "what the _____" where ____ is the issue in question... For example - what the chicken?? what the relationship?? etc... ML was ... well... a very flmboyant crazy cheesy character. That actor was a main villain in One High School Heroes

I totally love watching Nan Suk :) she is a super fun villain.
I loved the mother of ML in Queen's house for the same reason - they are just INTERESTING TO WATCH :) They are complex characters and have flair ...
And I loved watching ML in Queen's house, husband of FL, who was a villain but also a very nice family man. He was complex - brutal killer but emotional, loyal, naive, etc ... The actor had susuch an innocent baby face... contrasted with his evil behaviors... and towards the end, the actor was perfectly acting his role. He was really an interesting character and interesting to watch.

I dislike watching this FL. She is absolutely pathetic. Lifeliess, boring, expressionless, slimey, slithering snake without much brains but only greedy desire to move on. I dont think she is complex or smart. I think she is a dumb blind bully and a very insecure fragile person trying hard to elbow forward by sliming her way through.
I am not watching the drama for her :) This FL is soooo boring bc she is entirely predictable, sliding more and more into being an evil bully, and I dislike her bc she is getting WORSE as the drama goes on.

Wait - how much does Stella have? She had her own plus got SeRi's and Pan Sul's... She doesdoes not have Lucia's bc Lucia never signed it off but the two of them just voted the same, is that correct?

The total here is 78% so that means that (others and Stella) have 22%, including Pan Sul's and SeRi's and excluding Lucia's

yeah the Hallway Walker Lawyer is the smartest :) Stella might stab GC too... bc the goal is to help SeRi.... and Stella does not trust GC.. so Stella might grab the company for herself to give SeRi... ? Imo Stella is not faking it, she really dumped Lucia...
I am not sure why DMS is out, is the actor too expensive for this drama or busy with something else... ? But he had to be out for all this trash to show their true colors... :) and when he comes back... if GC gets shares from Stella and OldestBrother, ... DMS will be ousted from his company LOL

Bc ... I doubt that Stella will give her share to GC :) Stella's goal is to give company to SeRi, ie. GC is just a pawn... So... Stella will probably want for HERSELF to be the CEO and then give it to SeRi....

I want this seen. The question is - do you like this FL or not? Some ppl do and some not. I happen to think she is the same stupid kind as usual, I do NOT like her, I think I am seeing the worst of her now, and I am waiting to see her change and grow. Since this is ep 29, I hope her change starts soon.

This drama does not **have** to be "the" right FL.... The long standing sexism issue and totally incompetent FLs cannot be solved overnight..... I think there will be a lot of experimentation before we find that line.

IMO OUR GOLDEN DAYS drama IS THE RIGHT BALANCE AND A WONDERFUL FL... she is flawed and makes mistakes but is a good person and she then fixes her mistakes. I love that FL. I think that is the way to go. So many people hate that FL *bc* she speaks her mind and is determined person. I find the audience sexist...

But I think Our Golden Days is a great FL. She self reflects, she self corrects, she struggles with her feelings, she speaks her mind. I think she is a great "ordinary woman" who is properly taking care of her life and learning and growing.

There are others with wonderful very nice FLs who are competent - even old dramas have them! like Knight's Flower or lost sister in Once Again.... I love those characters

and the new dramas like Love Scout, Haunted Palace, My Dearest Nemesis, Divorce Insurance, First Night with the Duke, Troublesome Star, To the Moon, etc etc etc etc etc all have wonderful female leads who are basically good people and who made severe mistakes and/or were victims of circumstances, and then fixed it.

In the USA, young males are passive aggressive and simply do not marry, do not date one person, and expect a personal servant Barbie Doll with makeup and pushup bra, rather dumb and ready to copulate and please at all times

it is going to take a while for S Korea to fix its sexist stereotypes in the dramas, but it is happening. Unlike the USA where it is NOT happening. So that is why I watch here, not there.

I got tired of being accused that not liking this FL is a sign that there are no other FLs that are likeable. There are plenty....

I dislike this FL because she is currently bullying her bio mother, enjoying torturing her bio mother and is full of blind hate towards her bio mother.

FL thinks it is ok for her to abandon her life and marry into a rich family, but it is not ok for her mother to do so.. her mother did NOT abandon her. She tried to bring JW into her new marriage and JW never put any effort to find the truth. So... Hey, kiddo FL... grow up!!!! There is this word called TRYING TO BE OBJECTIVE

I wonder why HR stayed with that CEO..... Is it for his riches? Is it bc he would kill her if she deflects? He is most likely behind WTOD and seems like he keeps monitoring and controlling her so she might be "a jailbird" really...

FL is dumb. Her strategy is just sheer lying to get her "to the top" and eliminating everyone in her way.... She is too insecure... too immature... and yeah why start from bottom? is a good question - is it to prove herself? or a strategy to torture HR?

I agree with much of what you are saying. Indeed JW/SA was a victim as a child, YC is a jerk, a killer, a child of a killer, and deserves even more punishment, and This whole situation could be fixed with an honest conversation.

Did HR "abandon" the framed hubby in jail when she decided to marry the CEO? That is debatable.... She was thinking about it even before he was framed. When the CEO asked her to leave her husband, it was clear HR was not in love with her husband, she wasnt a woman who passionately said "oh no I love my husband".... She was thinking of leaving him.... She *was* ready to leave him anyways. And we saw WHY - he is such a red neck and a very difficult stupid aggressive rather ignorant selfish patriarchal dinosaur without any manners whatsoever, anyone but a total moron WOULD leave him..... His only plus is his loyalty and dedication and a desperate woman might keep him.... After lots of thinking, before he was framed, HR decided to stay with him.
Then he got framed and she changed her mind and decided to marry the CEO. That's ok imo, she is just someone who wanted to divorce a man she wasnt really in love with and she found another one. OK so be it...

HR did NOT abandon SA. HR just drove away to talk with the CEO and convince him to take in SA. I am not sure why she said she will be absent for 3 nights? Did she think this negotiation would take that long? Or she wanted some fun? So then she got hit by WTOD and was in hospital in critical condition for 6 months.... and after that, she DID try to find her daughter. But couldn;t. Her jailed husband refused to tell her, the CEO said he couldnt find them (hello, that is a big fat lie, with all his money he COULD find them!!!)

Seemingly sweet but really evil CEO is behind all this...

Yes the question is, WILL JW realize she made a mistake about her mother? and herself... Since she, JW, decided to marry into rich to make up for what she lost. WHY IS IT OK FOR JW TO DO THAT AND IT IS NOT OK FOR HER MOTHER TO DO THAT??? WHY JW WANTS TO PUNISH THE MOTHER FOR EXACTLY THE SAME THING JW IS DOING???

The question is, why is JW just blindly trusting what her father said, instead of asking questions and investigating herself? Why she hates instantly without finding the facts first?
The main question is, why is JW harming someone before she confirmed the facts?

the key point here is, JW IS SUPER CHILDISH, IMMATURE, INSECURE, SELFISH AND EGOISTICAL, WITHOUT ANY WILLINGNESS TO SELF REFLECT, NO WILLINGNESS FOR CRITICAL THINKING

So to repeat - there is absolutely NO difference between this FL character and the typical kdrama clutz loser FL character. They are the same clutz loser impulsive insecure dumbo. This FL is just not nice about it.
i really dislike the petty cunning ways that JW uses to torture HR without even finding out first what happened. JW is a BULLY, an evil person, a villain.

The question is, how will this FL resolve it. Bc she is an educated, professional woman with some brains. Enough to figure this out - if she wants to. That part will make or break this drama and is THE chance for this drama to be different than the typical "saving the damsel in distress" plot
