Loanshark mom is supposedly a "supporting character"???? WTH. She is a MAIN character, she is carrying the drama. I am watching HER. She stole the show.

First, it is a very beautiful woman, and then with the cosuming, hair and makeup, and the use of her lips and face while acting, she is absolutely STUNNING and she acts so well, she STEALS the show. She is THE thing to watch.

All the other youngsters are just ... frilly flat and boring. Yah they are main characters but they lack the ... PRESENCE of that loanshark mom actress

She should give lessons on how to use the lips while talking. Her voice projects well and he articulation is impeccable. With that rusty red lipstick and white teeth, her face is so infinitely interesting to watch

Wow that fired framed young policeman is soooo handsome! Such beautiful eyes and generally beautiful face . beautiful nose and lips and cheeks and eyebrows. He looks stunning

ML is also handsome when he is "open" when we can see his eyes, he is very intelligent and can show a lot of emotion. His eyes are amazing. I love his open relaxed face. So beauiful

That scene at the end of an earlier episode where they lounge on the sofa was leading to more.... and one day....

I say that James already knows that he cares for ES a lot more than just a business partner or a soldier in the trenches, and I say that ES does not know it yet, but will become aware that James is a huge reason why she feels more alive. Her husband is an ignorant leech sucking her blood dry.

James painted ES pics, many of them :) No man invests that much into his business partner LOL And he suffers when she suffers. No man feels that for his business partner :) He wants to protect her daughter and her. That's not a business partner. James is behaving like a husband.

They are healing for each other.

So we will see at the end.

They are NOT a rom com LOL ppl are ignorant to think that everything lovey dovey HAS to be ron com... First of all, . this drama is NOT a rom com. This is a pshychological thriller. So the lovey dovey part will have a different feel.

Love is a part of every show LOL bc love is a part of human emotions, of HEART, of need for intimacy, for being special, for connection, and also a part of human physical attraction and mating laws.... so TLOVE IS UNAVOIDAB LE in one form of another..... and so is a part of this too. It is a part of life. Everyone healthy enough will feel their hormones, and some will feel their heart. Sometimes one or the other happens first.

In this case, James' heart is touched and hormones will follow and so he paints her, and ES's hormones are touched but she is not aware of it yet and her heart is following. HER MIND is stuck on that parasite husband bc he is a copy of her loser father... Gosh I cannot believe I am thinking of Freud here LOL I dislik that old geezer's ideas... but surely ES is stuck on "her dad" in the form of her husband. There is ZERO real love there. It is a toxic enmeshment.

With James it is not clear yet, it is still murky, BUT it is real bc he really puts his life on line to protect ES and her daughter and he feels and acts as a part of her family. It is still murky bc nothing was said or allowed to be felt yet, but there is a strong undertow, a strong heart connection and a pull.

Those who do not feel the hormones and cannot relate to that are either sickly or old or something is wrong with them. Any healthy person will feel that pull and so by default, every genre, anywhere, will have something "sexy" because simply it is unavoidable. It is LIFE.

If nothing happens between our leads, that is fine too, but for sure there was and is a strong pull that is beyond business partners, they behave like a husband and wife.
And would make a great pair :)
Once ES finally realizes it is time to let go of her husband :) She is MENTALLY stuck to her husband as a copy of her father, seems like. THere is absolutely no love there and that man just sucked all life out of her. She was a robot before she met James.

I just watched ep 11 and I can see other signs that both ES and James are hanging onto each other with *** emotion *** and a bond that is .... deep and personal :) Also, James is starting to have a lot more "open faces". ES is good for him.

I find the village and villagers super fun. I absolutely hated the first episodes in Seoul. It lacked any content or relationships. It was just sick - sick people, sick house, sick everything.

I LOVE THE VILLAGE PART. I find it comical, and warm, etc. I find the acting excellent

HOWEVER, since FL moved to village. the plost uses the SAME old sexist trope - the proud rash reactive FL who keeps getting into trouble, NEVER ommunicates, and keeps repeating the same mistakes and getting her as# kicked and almost dead, and STILL she keeps it up the same way. A TOTAL MORON. The same old plot that most asian dramas are based on.
So now this damsel in distress has to be saved by some guy

Can Asian script writers even THINK of a different plot? DO they only know how to create plot based on stupid dumb mistakes of women???

There are some dramas where the FL is competent and doesnt get in trouble so much. This one seemed pretty cool but then as a bodyguard and someone on the run, she totally failed since she moved to the village.

The only scene from the entire drama is the scene when SC and SingleMom are in the car driving away to their honeymoon, all happy, and ppl are asking them to bring back and honeymoon baby, and SC says with a very serious and determined look: I WILL DO MY BEST.
He was such a great character and that was the only real couple in the entire drama. I love the scene of him talking to the REal Dad when the real dad gave him the family, and REalDad (driver Kim) peeking into the church.

it kinda reads well until the last sentence... bc then you start lying. You said that HALF of comments are against JH and then you mention that you cannot bash JH just for breathing... and you proclaim that YR was supposed to be likeable. Was she??? Half people liked JH.

I am so glad that Koreans disliked it. To me, the drama was a study in TOXICITY

Fans of narcissistic and attention-craving JH must be as shallow as her... Anyone who has a dream to become a Miss Korea or Miss Whatever, anyone whose dream is just to be a pretty something looked by everyone, is SHALLOW.

And her answers to questions at the Miss Korea paegant - her greatest desire for the future was to hear if she was Miss Korea. JH LACKS ANY DEPTH. She lacks IQ too... And it is not possible to mix love and hate.... IF you are a mature or wise person... LOL which JH is ***not***

She could be a good wife to a Judge bc she is pretty and will represent him well in public....

It was SuA in ep 20 who had the music box.... and she still has it, now as FakeYC it helps her sleep.... and HN's other daughter has the same music box...

1. Death of HaNeul's dad, i.e. first husband of Loan Shark mama -- in ep 21 we saw he was killed by Loan shark mama and covered up by Chairman. Loan Shark Mama was shown with blood on her face, saying she accidentally killed her husband - was he trying to kill her first? did they quarrel?
It did not seem she intended to kill him? or did she, and then lied to the Chairman.... ? and Chairman helped her cover it up bc she gave him money and helped him to become the Chairman. Chairman framed KiBeom for the murder. (KiBeom is bio dad of FakeYC).

RealYC said that there is no drop of blood between her and Ha Neul, so.... seems like Loanshark Mama is **not** Ha Neul's mother. Is Ha Neul adopted or was he his dad's bio kid?

2. Prison of KiBeom -- admitted in ep 21 to be arranged by Chairman to help Loanshark mama, to cover up her murdering "by accident" her first husband, Ha Neul's dad. Chairman did it so that he could grab Hye Ra?
So far, it looks like Hye Ra has no clue about it but does she really, after 25 years?

3. Death of RealYoungChae's dad, i.e. the second husband of Loan Shark mama -- loan shark mama says she drowned him (does she have a habit of getting rid of all husbands?) but is he dead or will he show up later mysteriously?

4. Joo YoungChae pretending to be Cha JungWon - she introduced herself as Cha Jung Wong to Hye Ra - and later said that she was the real YC, but Hye Ra did not believe her LOL bc loan shark mama and Ha Neul lied that she is not YC..... lol
5. JungWon pretending to be YoungChae
6. Loanshark mama and HaNeul pretending that JungWon is YoungChae

7. HaNeul and JungWon pretending to be a couple in front of her stempom and dad - she finally confessed in ep 21 that it was a lie, BUT:
8. JungWon did not tell her stepmom and dad that she lives as FakeYC
9. JungWon keeps her marriage to Se Hun a secret from her father KiBeom. Her stepmother knows about it but also keeps it secret from KiBeom

10. Chairman pretending to Hye Ra that he had no idea what happened to KiBeom and family
Wow the backstabing slimey snake Chairman who is soooo sweet to Hye Ra's face but a total monster behind her back. She DOES have an idea that he is like that, seems like.

11. Hye Ra pretending to the Chairman that she does not know he monitors her, but she really has an idea; and Chairmen closely monitoring her in secret, with an evil eye intent

When KiBeom went to prison, Hye Ra left her little daughter SuA with MiHyang and MiHyang's little daugher JuWong, and drove away to talk to the Chairman, to accept to marry him if he takes SuA. On the way there, HyeRa got struck by WTOD and was hospitalized for 6 months. WE DO NOT KNOW WHO SENT THAT WTOD.

MiHyang took care of SuA and when KiBeom got out of prison, they raised both girls. But somehow little Real JuWong died - we do not know how. Did the Chairman kill her by mistake, thinking she was SuA and he wanted to cut all HyeRa's ties to her family??
SuA's bio mom is Hye Ra.. Little Real YuWon's mother is the stepmother MiHyang

12. KiBeom and MiHyang pretending that SuA is JungWon (the stepmom's daughter, who died and we do not know yet how). SuA took the name JungWon and seems to have changed her identity to try to escape the criminal family tag.

SO SU-A HAD TWO IDENTITY AND TWO MOM/DAD CHANGES:
WHEN SHE WAS LITTLE, SHE CHANGED IDENTITY FROM SU-A wih Mother HyeRa and BECAME CHA JU-WON with mother MiHyang, same dad for both (Essentially her family just "erased" the real little JuWong). So SuA grew up as herself but with name JuWong.
AND NOW SHE TOTALLY CHANGED IDENTITY AND BECAME JOO YOUNG CHAE, with loanshark mother Gong Nan-sook (and dad who died on a boat, who was ... killed by Gong Nan-sook?).

13. FakeYC's dad KiBeom and stepmom MiHyang telling Hye Ra that SuA is dead... KiBom even fabricated a fake grave

Then all the lies regarding the two ex-boyfriends of Fake and REal YC...... Ha Neul lying to Loanshark mama, etc... they lying to Chairman's family.... etc etc etc ...

Since this is a phychological thriller, you need a big board with pictures of all involved, with lines going between them, to keep track of who is who and who is lying what and who knows what :) This is like real life LOL
