I started this ep thinking about how Akira is attracted to Shin only at the moment so it’s perfectly fine for me that we might have 6 more episodes of character development. I was also irritated with every girl in this show except the sister. Crazy how 25 mins can flip one’s perspective. The fan girl and the ex are awesome. Also, Akira is absolutely in love with Shin. I’ll point to how he has been challenged to be brave and straightforward since he met Shin, as well as how concerned he is with how Shin is always feeling. And that moment when he passed down the Minato family blessing…..what a perfect scene. If Shin wasn’t already gone for Akira, that moment would have done it. Butterflies don’t begin to describe how that made me feel.
Home sick but this is an excellent opportunity to rewatch my favorite cdrama of all time. Cast is so amazing. Hu Ge, Wang Kai, Leo Lu, Ding Yong Dai, Jin Dong and so so many other magnificent performances. This is most epic story of fraternal loyalty, vengeance and enduring love. The politics and scheming will have your brain melting and the fight sequences will blow your socks off. You’ll admire, cheer and weep for the Young Marshall and feel vindicated when Lin Shu-Gege gets his reckoning 🎶🗡🌸🦋💙🤍🖤❤️
After 3 years I finally rewatched The Untamed from start to finish. My verdict…it crushed me, just like the first time. The finale was devastating because I couldn’t bear to say goodbye. In summary…this is excellent stuff. Number two for me in terms of best cdrama ever and it was a very close competition.
The fight scene was too short. The kiss scene was too short. The scenes with Mu Deok and Uk are too few. Yul is annoying and so is Master Park, Jin Mu and Ho Kyung. I love this show but there is too much going on. We progress light years with Uk’s development only for the plot to drag us back to Master Park trying to figure out if Mu Deok is a villain. Dude is so obtuse. And Yul with is one sided love…get over it pal.
On episode 18 and I completely forgot that Song Lan was the one who took Yanli to safety. Gosh…it’s been 3 years but I remember now. This is indeed where the tears start.
One thing about the current state of comments sections on MDL is I hardly ever get trolled by the “spoiler police” anymore. I credit that entirely to the savagery of the KP era.
Is it wrong of me that I thoroughly enjoyed it when Concubine Yue showed up to the party and lit nearly everyone on fire?? I aspire to that level of condescension 🔥🔥🔥
Got up this am and asked myself “do I spoil myself with Alchemy of Souls first? Or take a ride on the Pain Train with LM?” I skipped ep 7 because of my schedule so figured I have a double serving today. Imagine my surprise when I noticed ep 9 dropped as well. Great. I get 3 times the agony. Still…wouldn’t change this for the world. Mark and Vee will always have a special place in my heart.

This is going to be epic.

As for me, sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. I got some really bad habits during KP.
