Finally giving this show a shot. Up to ep 23 and I have to say…I’d like this show a million times better without this Mian chick. Don’t like the character and I do not like the actress.
I bet it’s in next weeks ep. There will likely be a recap and I bet plenty of flash backs for both. I just picture Tharn spacing out in a meeting as he recalls that night. Phaya looking on with a knowing smirk….
Ya know that NC scene was beautifully blocked, shot and edited and they're both good looking.....did absolutely…
Yeah I feel that they are trying to hard with the mystery and the cases and losing a bit of control over the story. It was a whole lot of unrelated story and dragged out discord between Phaya and Tharn until the final moments. I’m glad we got the NC scene. Show needs to recognize that the chemistry between the leads is a strong selling point of the show. These two need to be on screen together more and not in constant opposition over dreams and fear. There are too many plot lines is what I’m getting at I guess. Still I’m glad for the NC scene. Finally.
I’ll try to isolate that as the takeaway from ep 7 and forget the rest.
When are we going to be done with this asshole doctor arc? We wasted the entire 1st part on 2 entirely irrelevant characters and then the next two on watching the Doctor continue to sow discord.
So I stopped at ep 37 somewhere around the 15th or so. I couldnt take what was coming. Finally mustered the courage to continue tonight and made it 1/4 of the way into 40, sobbing my heart out, before saying “nope, I can’t do this right now”.
Wtf? This could be the most perfect wuxia ever made. Why do they have to spend 35 episodes having us fall in love with not one or two characters, but 7, only to give so many of them a tragic ending? I’ll never forgive this show. It’s beautiful, it was fun, the story building and character development was excellent. Fight scenes were immaculate. I have nothing but praise except that it has devastated me 5 times. Not fair.
And Knight is the other standard
My god this show puts me in my feels

Damn the over ambitious plot.

K I’m too single.
I was a puddle by the end of that scene

Give me the OG Wook. Especially with long hair. It’s like a gift every time he is on screen.
