Oh I’ll be watching this one for the plot

I adore Liu Xue Yi. In fact, he is the reason I picked up this show. I love him in this role as a villain but I do not condone his actions. He’s a bad guy in this.
But I still think he is hot as hell,
I am only eager for him to take on a lead role across from a female actress who is an equal match for his talent.

Oh well cool. I didn’t read the book and didn’t need a spoiler to guess.

I remember early in the season I was stuck by how majestic Zhou Ye seemed in a particular scene.
Foreshadowing much?
I predict his Dad passes the throne to him. He’s the best candidate for Emperor.

So far the only two men that I’ve seen who are that nefarious are the slime-ball Commissioner that murdered Juisi’s dad, the he’s and Yuru’s family & the previous crown Prince.

Guess that will be a mystery to solve in coming eps.

Agree with you on all points. It feels like a mistep for the plot too. This show was going along just fine without these evil, intrusive and petty bitches meddling with our main couple.
I hope Jiusi lays the ever loving smack down on them both for messing with his wife.
