I was dubious about him at first but Lord…now I’m enchanted. I welcome any recommendations you friends would be willing to make about his other dramas. I’ve got some learning to do.
Not to be too dramatic but episode 25 might be the single best episode ep I’ve ever seen in a Chinese costume drama. The sacrifice of the 3 shards. You Qin’s come back & the subsequent ass whooping he put in the Voidwalkers Yun’s death (y’all see that drop of blood fall from the blade of grass?) You Qin blazing back into the heavenly realm with Tan in his arms La Mu, Heartless and Wen Ren’s farewell to the love of their lives All set to that soul crushing soundtrack.
Hopefully YQ either recovers his memories of the other shards or breaks thru the icy expectation his father puts on him soon. I’m ready for some lovey dovey time between my favorites couple.

King’s jawline should be a registered lethal weapon. Also his smoldering eyes. As well as his lips. Where to start with the lips. And I cannot forget that tongue. Then there is his body. Not to mention his hands.
Every episode, like the delulu bitch that I am, approx 30% of my attention is focused on what seems to turn King on, like I’m preparing for an assignment or something. For example: King does not have a foot fetish. ✔️ King absolutely has a thigh fetish ✔️✔️ King is obsessed with Uea’s fair skin, especially around the neck, shoulders and chest ✔️✔️✔️
Also, during the course of this weeks research I validated something I’d previously suspected: King’s lick game is on a professional level. Dude can do things with those lips and that tongue. 🥵😮💨👅
There’s a lot of dark stuff in Uea’s life. I’ll be glad once he opens up to King because he shouldn’t have to carry his tragedies like nasty secrets. King is so obviously in love and wants to know what makes Uea tick. This show is doing a pretty good job of showing how a no-commitments, fringe benefits relationship turns into something with depth. For both of them. King is earning Ueas trust ever so slowly and becoming a source of comfort. Like King said, to let him “be a good thing in your life” That was a lovely scene. Touching, a little sad and obviously overflowing with the kind of sensuality these two are so good at.
You name me one other show that delivers 6 unique and equally charming romances in one story. Go ahead. I’ll wait.
