We can only hope. I'm still nervous about the writers bringing everyone together, allowing NY to escape consequences.…
It is definitely headed in that direction. It seems that the writer wants every character to have a happy ending. I love happy endings, but evil toxic characters should not be rewarded without suffering. Their suffering should be equal to or greater than the hurt and pain they caused.
Maybe NY will have amnesia when she wakes up. She’ll have selective memory and erase all the negative behavior she engaged in. She’ll replace the negative memories with made up good stuff. There will be a time jump to show that NY believes she is a good person and she will act accordingly for years. She will act like a loving mother to her baby and loving sister to SJ. She will reconcile with HS in the last 10 minutes of the last episode. And, we’ll hear happy joyous music as all of the families share a group hug.
SJ has to deal with demons of her own since young as YJ repeatedly reminded her that she was abandoned by SY.…
You made your point and I agree with it. The writer on some level agrees as well as demonstrated by HS having brain spasms whenever NY showed up. Also, though he wasn’t married to her that long, but he recognized how toxic she is and he did not want to be around her or have her raise his child. He understood both and after a brain injury that NY is bad and will never change. Sooo why oh why would the writer make SJ continue to encourage, support and rescue her abuser. This is mind numbing. I will remember this writer and avoid her work.
Let me clarify, I meant SuJi is a doormat. And doormats end up being victimized. You are right NY has the victim mentality in that she claims to be and acts like a victim after being confronted for the harmed she caused.
OK. I am so done with SuJi. The writer has written her with a “ I will set myself to be a victim every chance I get” mentality. I will skip the remaining episodes and watch the last one, maybe.
But in The Good Bad Mother, the ML did the bad stuff to take revenge for his father's death, though. He only pretended…
I agree with you about the reason he did bad things. That’s my point. But he did bad things to good people, not just the bad ones. He did not pretend to leave the love of his life who helped him through law school. He actually left her. And, how about the innocent guy who he purposely allowed to go to jail. We subsequently found out why and that is why he was forgiven for doing bad stuff to good people.
Hello everyone From my limited understanding of Korean Yun Ja is still trying to convince Na Young she has a chance…
If you are right about the amnesia redemption arc, I hate her too. I’ve seen numerous dramas where amnesia is used to make people who are the victims accept the person who inflicted pain on them. NY is bad at her core. What about her bad behavior before she married HS? She even engineered some of bad stuff against U Ri and Su Ji on her on and blackmailed JT. JT did not really force her to do any of the bad things she did.
This is what I think about NY being seen as mentally ill, and if the writer gives her a Redemption Arc how it could work. First, my view on labeling someone as mentally ill. That label gives them an excuse for their bad behavior. We think ok they are sick and need professional help and once they received said professional help they will be ok. What we as viewers understand, but apparently not some writers is that some people that exhibit extremely bad behavior are not mentally ill. They are toxic assholes. These toxic assholes can learn to hide their bad behavior so that they can achieve whatever their hateful agenda is (writer did with NY this in the previous episodes). In reality these bad guys will never change their behavior because it is ingrained in their DNA. So writers give us Redemption Arcs to soothe some viewers and maybe even themselves because they need to believe that toxic people can be redeemed. In this drama it would be a stretch to show that NY who has exhibited only toxic asshole behavior for 119 episodes can be redeemed in 8 episodes. However, the writer could attempt to do so with an extensive flashback showing that NY: 1. Was originally a wonderful, delightful and angelic person. But, suffered an unimaginable, emotionally disastrous, personality altering event that framed her subsequent view of the world. She becomes an asshole doing really bad stuff. (such as the male lead in Good Mother Bad Mother) 2. Needs viewers pity, not anger and deserves to be forgiven for any and all toxic behavior that the viewers witnessed in previous episodes. The personality altering bad behavior triggering event is miraculously reconciled in the mind of NY; thus eliminating her desire and need to continue acting an ass and being toxic. A redemption arc under these circumstances may work, maybe.
My opinion only. AeRa’s mother is HS first love and AeRA is their love child. NY and little Bean will be kicked…
Yes. We’d all be blindsided if it were true. And, it would allow the brothers to truly bond. HS would have his first true love who is the mother of love child by his side. This would prevent him from lusting after SJ.
JT is an unforgivable character especially since he does know right from wrong and he continues to do wrong! For…
You’re right, I wouldn’t want that either. But, the writer keeps interjecting scenes of JT having angst and acting regretful over his role in keeping his wife’s son away from her. So, I think the writer wants JT to be forgiven and they all live as one big happy family.
Will they ever reveal AeRa’s mother? I keep trying to figure out if it was to explain how she came into the…
My opinion only. AeRa’s mother is HS first love and AeRA is their love child. NY and little Bean will be kicked to the curb because Little Bean’s real daddy will show up. Thus putting the final nail in coffin fo NY’s dream of bein the Lady of Han House.
Mr’s scream in the preview is to warn JT that he’s about to get hammered with a pile of iron railings. So, that’s a warning scream to save him from sure death. The producer likes to confuse the viewers by showing scenes from the preview that are out of sequence.
well if this case happen SJ might get 10/10 rating for her holy character and the drama 1/10 !!!!
After using fast forward to get pass the menusha I found that the last few minutes of Friday’s episode were satisfyingly good. The cliff hanger with NY being locked out of the Han’s house shows promise of a long awaited payback. Judging from the clothing cast members had on (except JT) it appeared as if payback happened the same day the culprits were exposed.
I just watched the recent episode using the lightning fast forward finger method. From what I could tell in the last 1 minute of the episode and previews of tomorrow’s episode the sh*t is about to hit the fan. Here’s how I think that the writer is going to put a muzzle on NY’s ambition. Real baby daddy is going show up and HS is going to order a paternity test. It will be confirmed that Little Bean was not created by any seeds sown by HS. AND, it will be confirmed that NY tampered with the first DNA test. NY’s palace built on straws will begin to burn. Neither NY, not Little Bean will have legal standing to inherit anything. BUT SJ, because I believe that her character though smart is mostly stupid, will try to save NY and NY & HS marriage and NY’s baby. I personally don’t understand why SJ would attempt to save NY who has consistently throughout the 100+ episodes shown SJ nothing but contempt and hatred. While the writer allows SJ to call out NY on her bad behavior, the writer has consistently failed to allow SJ to follow-up with consequences. The writer will continue to protect NY and Little Bean to the end. Oh Well. I could be wrong about all of this, it wouldn’t be the first. 🥱🥴😎
