I think this series is like the Love in your eyes. Key characters stayed stupid, evil, clueless, spineless, naive, evil, despicable, angry at the wrong person, or brainless until the last episode.
I can’t, I just can’t, I cannot. No, I won’t do it. I will not watch🫣. I do not have spare brain cells. I must keep all of them for emergencies. This show is not an emergency even though it’s on life support. 🤕🤕🤒
1. Start off by whining about how miserable you are compared to your successful sister.
2. Ruin your successful sister with a big lie. And, keep lying about everything even your name.
3. Worm your way into your sister’s boyfriend’s family and manipulate them into liking your false personality. Lie some more.
4.Manipulate your sister’s boyfriend into a one or two night stand just make sure you get pregnant. Do this because in this day and age there is no such thing as birth control…right? Oh, and keep lying.
5. Convenienly have abdominal pains around the people who know you are pregnant.
6.When your lies catch up with you be upset, horrified, and indignant that your honesty is questioned. Plead with the person you ruin to save you because you are having her ex boyfriend’s baby and want to live happily ever after with him and the baby. Ask her to feel your stomach so she can connect to your unborn child.
7. Make sure that everyone knows that you can easily miscarry if you have to deal with any stress from the situation you created and the lies you told.
8. Continue to scheme and manipulate everyone and come up with new lies.
I kind of hope that HS marries NY. That way NY’s mother can steal HS’s father from his mother the same way she stole SJ’s father away from SJ’s mother. I hope that SJ and UR stay with SJ’s real mom and distanced themselves from that family. And, that HS’s mom takes the hospital from the dad so that NY and her mom will still be broke and miserable.

😂🤣This is so true. I’ve watch a ton of Kdramas and the writers have not figured out how to stop the bad guys from getting the scoop … all of it from the good guys. I know there are a few exceptions to this, but not many. Alchemy of Souls is drama with smart good guys and bad guys, but the writer skillfully handled the roles of each character in such a manner that none of characters had to be overtly stupid to further the story. The Glory was another, and Good Mother, Bad Mother was another one.
I’m sorry I just can’t watch this until the end after episode 26. Someone commented that the female parents and grandparents are the worsts; and, the men parents and grandparents are invisible. That commenter was right on spot. How can I have such hate for fictional characters. What the hell! And, the male lead fails to protect his girlfriend. She doesn’t protect herself. I can’t put what little brain cells that I have left through this again.
I’m sorry. Someone please confirm for me that Korean elders don’t act like this extreme. I understand that respecting elders is part of the culture. And, that getting parental approval of relationships is also part of the culture. But, is it really this extreme????🧐

Thanks for clearing that up. I think I am missing too much by fast forwarding. I am going to wait until the series complete. If the ending is satisfying to me than I will force myself to watch the previous scenes that I fast forwarded through. Until then I won’t comment.

There is no way she could thrive in a romantic relationship with a man. It would have been irresponsible for my parents to push her off on a man.
