I see from some comments that this drama may get extended. IMO that means more menusha. I guess that I have to wait a little bit longer for the final episode. π§π€
I am guilty of reading comments before watching an episode. I must confess Iβd rather not suffer, in real time, the angst, frustration, and anger that some of you have endured. Thank you for shouldering that burden. I have suffered through my fair share of many Kdramas where the bad, mean, horrible, crazy, and stupid people manipulated, harmed, setup, and sometime even murdered folks like the innocent main and side characters. In those series, as it appears to be the case in this one, the good folks receive help in the last episode. The viewers are left to watch two minutes of the good folk being deriously happy and see 3 minutes of a redemption for bad guys, and/or punishment (The Love in your Eyes). I will wait for the last episode. Thank all of you for your bravery. I just canβt continue to watch people who are suppose to be smart do very stupid stuff episode after episode. To the commenter who stated that SJ will put the JTβs tiepin in her draw knowing that someone rifled through her stuff and that NY will take it, I think you may be right. I have seen good Kdramas where the bad and good guys were evenly matched, and good guys were not stupid and weak until the end of the series (Taxi). Alas, this is not one of one of those types of dramas. πππ£π‘
What you just described is an example of what I consider a toxic drama. Another example is one that is filled with episodes that do not add to the storyline and has a rushed ending. Or, one in which I care nothing for any of the characters because none are likeable.
I am curious about how the writer portrays SJβs father when his wife glorifies NY and in the same breath vilify SJ. He does not defend his own daughter even after Knowing that his wife kept SJ away from her real mom. To me, he acts like NY is his daughter. His behavior is not fatherly though it seems he expects SJ to be a dutiful daughter. π΅βπ«π§
A very solid thriller that's worth watching. However, there was a loophole that irked me to the core. The story…
I agree with your commentary. You can drive a truck through the loopholes in this series. I think the writers point could have been better expressed concentrating on just one crazy killer instead of two killers in two different timelines. It really could have been a great thriller.
There was no kiss. And this is quite normal in USA and Europe.
Sorry, in the US this age combination in a relationship is illegal. At 15, you are not considered a consenting adult. Itβs called statutory rape if there is sexual activity. If no sex involved it is called Child Abuse. However there are some US states may have a law that waive age limitations, but I think the parents(s) of the child have to consent.
I hate to admit it, but NY was right when she told him he's one of them now. It's up to him to prove her wrong.
The Frog is now airing on Netflix. Your response reminded me of that series. In the series people like HS are called Frogs. Youβll have to watch the series to find out why they are called frogs.
π§Me reading the comments. π€Me reading the same complaints regarding the same characters. π€¦ Me wondering why people expect bad writers to miraculously write good episodes. πππ€£π€£π€£πππ€ͺMe laughing my butt off because Iβm actually saving the few brain cells and what little sanity I have by not watching until the last episode.
I guess the writer was told βa cliffhanger for every episode β
Perhaps there is a secret handbook that writers of poorly written Kdramas possess that instruct writers to wait until the last two episodes to make meaningful progress in the story. If this is true I now know why many dramas have rushed ending.
