i can never get the esther hate. i noticed her talent in acting. i have been following her projects, she's an actress who knows what roles to pick and portray them well. i don't like all her shows though, maybe just 90%, because i was disappointed with Sword and Fairy, and I'm a fan of XuKai too.
so liking a show and liking an actor are two different things. but the commenter above i think is just a plain esther hater, and apparently zhao lusi's fan. toxic fan

many questions right now. recent kdramas tend to do this. the rate/quality at which they can be answered through the upcoming episodes will determine this shows success.

-why was she pretending to be mute/how did she become mute (pretending/cured?) in the first place?
-who was the kidnapper? what was his real intention, why does he know Hee Joo is PS's wife?
-why is PS cold and cruel towards this arranged marriage? why is he keeping her as a bride? why did he call her a hostage in this marriage?
-how did HJ get the phone? what really happened after the first kidnapping? how did HJ escape the kidnapper?
-how did HJ become the media chairman's daughter? why is her real father a poor man in the care facility?
-what happened to the original bride? HJ's step sister? where is she?

right. it wasn't making sense.

just skip watch it like i did. after ep 18, nothing great was happening in the drama.

the classic "oh they knew each other as kids!"

i can't find a link to the og story. i wanna read it...

she doesn't know the truth. in the ep 2 epilogue it was revealed the other sister doesn't like him too. and genuinely wants to escape the arranged marriage (however i've seen in other shows that this could change and the original bride could go back and be like "you were just a substitute" i want him back now. still this is tentative).
she didn't run away, it was the ML's suggestion to switch the bride and he knows Heejoo and he wanted her to be his bride intentionally.

what i don't understand yet is why is he treating her like shitty guy after they got married if he truly likes her or if it was his intention to save her even before they got married. he keeps going back and forth a red flag - green flag guy. green flag sometimes when he shows he cares about her.

the production is not flawless. like when they were showing his room full with certificates and accolades to show how big of a deal he is and his training with negotiation.
there was this certificate supposedly from the FBI, yes that FBI. but the word for evidence is spelled ecidence.

I think she has already liked him before that's why she agreed to marry him in the first place. Aside from the condition with her real father.
Also there was a scene where her senior at the sign language center tells her to practice with the Paek Saeon videos, meaning she has a positive impression with him before, maybe even a crush and the arranged marriage was a convenience for her. Then she finds out what he is really like after they got hitched.

maybe he likes her from the start?
or maybe the construction company heir is his rival/he needs to eliminate in his plans and preventing Hong Heejoo's first marriage is his only way somehow.

Who here thinks there will be a childhood connection plot in this show?

i feel like the scoring is too much. ex. ep 36.
like when someone just has an idea, theres this unnecessary magical background music starting to play. the timing is off. it's kinda ruining the scene. specially when they are already talking. the background music is making it slow and uninteresting. the same thing happened with eternal love of dream.

this kid plays both Male leads of the top 2 dramas this month. Story of Pearl Girl (young Yang Zijing/Liu Yuning) and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (young Ding Yuxi)

so she is now Glass girl?

i thought they were gonna have an ending like Descendants of the Sun.
was expecting them to make a better version of that ending. they made the worse.

DOTS (which has some similarities) even managed to turn around the sure doom of an ending for the male lead. that was 2016.
this is a far copy of that, but a really bad one too. they almost got it perfect.

i guess that's what they were aiming for. 2nd couple is an epic love story (famous actress and bodyguard/military man), plus a love triangle with her well-meaning rich boss who is a really good guy, she's just not into him.
but her and the bodyguard, they got a well deserved happy ending.
3rd couple is a comic relief cute love story (celebrity assistant and doctor), and towards the end they even added a good subplot regarding the assistant's fear of getting married.
the other pairs had well-executed stories.
then there's the main couple. haiiii.
heck there's even a childhood sort of puppy love story between the main FL's little brother and the little girl they saved from the earlier episodes.
i really thought the main leads were safe. what a waste.
