Saw on Twitter cdrama that this drama's script writers had to apologize because of the ending. Imagine how dissatisfied fans are with it. They really dropped the ball at the last arc.
I hate women like her. They just shout about women rights without any logic. My mom even till now do a full-time job with taking care of my 3 siblings. My dad and hired help made everything possible. But she is too narrow minded and doesn't see the full picture.
Too much wait is bad for dramas. People',s expectations grow and then they are unable to satisfy fans. Also I am getting worried about choppy editing with the news of episodes reduction. People don't like fantasy dramas that much now a days anyway. I hope it won't get too much bad rating in douban.
Like most cdramas this drama too fell victim of having ridiculous ending just to show the audience how stupid show makers think fans are. I mean really? Qiu Min bitch suddenly a good girl?!!! That YL 🤮 The main CP always got the short end of the stick. Like what the hell!! So dissatisfied with the ending. Actually from episode 28, I knew this drama will never have a logical and more normal ending. I really don't like that drama makers show absurd twist in last couple of episodes just to make themselves unique. Please stop doing that. Anyway still a solid 8 from me. Good chemistry and a strong female lead is rare in cdramas. I will praise them for that . Edit: rating is 6.5 from me now. The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am with the ending.

Yup. Most of the time we hold source material in a high level simply because it was created first. But some things really don't transit well into a visual medium. The animation Su Mo would make the drama even more unlikeable for many. There is another animation I really like it, soul land. It's good and that one drama version is definitely bad. But I feel this one isn't that bad.

I read your comment too. I watched the animation after so many people said that it was good. But honestly I wasn't impressed. The romance is non existent. I have watched way to many save the world drama and animation too be impressed by just that in an animation. I was always thinking that the drama's source material novel wasn't that good or hard to interpret in a drama. Watching the animation confirmed it for me. People talk about drama couple chemistry, I mean it took some time but atleast they had it. But that animation chemistry is non existent.
I find the wife a little too idealistic. She decided to be a stay at home mom. Now she wants to work. Okay but the guy is always working, how do you expect him to suddenly support you just the way you want. That's unrealistic and a little selfish. Maybe don't stop working at all and continue doing work when you have a child, so that your husband learns to take care of the kids along with you. That way division of labor is more fair and no sudden shock occur.
Watched the animation too. Eh it's not that good. That Su Mo is like a small child. He feels like Bai Ying's younger brother. No chemistry at all. Bai Ying and Zhen Lan feels like more of a couple there. Looks like in the novel the writer clearly prefered Zhen Lan over Su Mo. I mean even in their ancestors story it was Lang Gan and Bai Wei together. For that reason I prefer the drama version. I mean what's the point of making Su Mo the main lead, if he never gets the girl. In fantasy romance is the most important thing. All these saving the world is just a back drop. I mean who takes that seriously.

That Su Mo is like a small child. He feels like Bai Ying's younger brother. No chemistry at all. Bai Ying and Zhen Lan feels like more of a couple there.
