Li YiFeng dramas almost never have good ending. Either it's straight up sad ending or confusing open ending. None of his historical fantasy drama had a good ending. Why does he always choose drama that has dog blood. I mean even in his modern dramas it's always open ending. Argh!! He is so frustrating.

I feel like this novel shouldn't be made into a drama. It's 2022 why are we still seeing silly sad endings. Honestly…
Yes. If they both died and went heaven or something, I would feel much better.

You know I was going to recommend this drama to my friend, and quite frankly, this story started off promising…
I feel like this novel shouldn't be made into a drama. It's 2022 why are we still seeing silly sad endings. Honestly when dramas have sad ending, I feel like the script writer is weak. If they were clever, they wouldn't write themselves into a corner from where they can't get out. Like why only Su Mo and Bai Ying has to have a sad ending when all the other characters who really didn't contributed much got all the sunshine and rainbows ending. Ah!! This is so frustrating. If Bai Ying too had died with Su Mo I would have accepted that better.

Su No was kind of being manipulated by Lang Gan, so he probably wasn't really hating his brother.
They are twin brother. Because of that both of them can inherite the dragon god power and be the sea emperor. Which is why the brother was salty that Su Mo was the sea emperor and not him. Him dying end the confusion and clash about who can be the sea emperor. Now there is no one else who can sea emperor expect Su Mo. He has the previous sea emperor's blood in his body.

Honestly instead of that open ending where poor Bai Ying just kept waiting for Su Mo, it would have been better if both of them died together. How is Bai Ying supposed to happy when she is left all alone. Even her sister died already. All the mermaids went to their home. Zhen Lan became the king. All the other characters at least got some things to be happy about. But the one who did the most hard work, Su Mo didn't get a single thing in the end. That was unnecessary cruel.

I have to ask. From what I understand, as mermaids, they are genderless until they fall in love and then they…
Novel is a fantasy one. Sometimes we have to suspend disbelief.
They are mostly supposed to look feminine. Like even the guys look like girls, that's why they are very weak too. Now casting a girly looking male lead is probably not going to work. The novel itself very dramatic and unnecessary complex.

of course. Lang Gan didn't kill Bai Wei bcs he was jealous of Chun Huang. It was an accident. She jumped in when…
I think someone misunderstood that part. People watch machine translation and trust everything. Don't do that .
